Scottish Cup weekend

Cheers Dave. I was going to go for black but most teams in our league have a black strip and I think it's a bit boring. At least we can wear these and not worry about ruining them like our old all white away strip.

We played our first game in seven weeks yesterday and it showed as Hearts ran out 1-4 winners. First time wearing our new away strips sponsored by The Energy Check.

I don't really use my personal account anymore but use the one I set up for the supporters team all the time. It's been brilliant for sponsorship for the team as it's impossible to find a local company to get involved and we've never had any joy getting stuff like old strips or that from Alloa.

I'm sure if there was a market for a student gate then our board would have introduced one by now. It's the same tedious shite every season about our admission prices.

I get more and more fed up at this time of year as the years goes on. Fannies on both sides of the argument desperate to be correct and take the moral highground. I don't even know if I can be arsed getting involved on Sunday or not. I used to take a bit of pride getting involved and going on parade if I was at home or not working once outside the mob. Now it just seems like a chore. I bumped into one of the older boys from the legion on Friday in the pub who was keen as f**k about this coming Sunday, joyful with glee about telling me about how they have booked good singers for through the back of the pub and how it should be brilliant. f**k that for a carry on. I might take the ChompMyRoot approach to things on Sunday or I might go to Ben Nicky at the O2 Academy on Saturday night and get out my tits and escape things that way.

We are needing players for 5's tonight at The Wasp Centre 7-8pm. We book the two pitches and play four teams of five and play each other twice. If interested then get in touch with the me to ensure we have space.

We've scored eight goals and only conceded one whilst missing some key players, especially in defence. I think PJ and Malcolm are the way to go up front with Renton coming off the bench if we want to make the play offs. Fleming showed up OK on Saturday but he looks unfit for a midfield role and will be found wanting against a better midfield. He's no Ryan McCord. Saturday is a another great chance against another poor team to get three points and push up the table. Any more news on the injuries?

Things haven't been going that well this season results wise with the team. We've seem to become masters at chucking a game away in the dying moments of the match as 5 out of the 7 we've lost have all been right at the death. We are struggling to get a settled team and especially a settled defence. That can't really be helped due to some lads being on shifts, etc. I'm still confident that things will pick up. We've got Stirling Albion in the Quarter Final of the Scottish Cup on the 11th of November and the new away strips are on order. We are also running a last man standing competition as a fundraiser, which starts next week. If anyone wants a shot then get in touch.

Anyone used recyke a bike in Stirling before? I've been pondering getting a bike so I can cycle to work every now and then and wasn't wanting to spend silly money on one.

On Saturday the supporters team play Queens Park Supporters at Lesser Hampden at 12.15. The team has a bus running and some spaces are available. Bus will be leaving Alloa at 10.40am and coming back at 5pm from Hampden. The Social Club at Lesser Hampden will be open from 11am. If interested then send me a message.
