  1. I'll not lie I find both of them "a hard listen" even at the best of times.
  2. Tuned the radio on forgetting OTB was on, thought, "ach I'll give it 5 minutes". We've now had Tam Cowan claiming his very good friend Kilgour at the FoH praising the open letter, while Cosgrove fawning over Hearts. Time to turn off, I can see how the rest of this show will go.
  3. I agree that Famewo and/or McLoughlin would be a decent addition, but you are being pretty harsh on Davis. He was released from Grimsby along with lots of others due to their finances and covid, and with the way football is, nobody is giving out contracts, why do you think he is struggling to get a deal any more than any other out of contract player? As for washed up, he played 56 games for them in 2 seasons, not sure that counts as washed up. Unproven? I mean, sure, but for me he always looked like being capable of playing at a higher level than the Championship, where for me he was a stand out. Technically any player who has never played in the Premiership is "unproven".
  4. I thought they ignored the vote though? Wasn't that the deal or was that the Dutch? As I say, watching Hearts absolutely shit themselves has been the best part.
  5. I would expect successful businessman Gordon Scott to put in a set of tearful Sportsound interviews while being soft soaped by Tom English, then try bribing the league and finally launch court proceedings to stop the injustice. After all, some people seem to think that is the way to do things.
  6. Seeing as you couldn't beat us last time, or beat the teams in the 11th and 10th positions, I'm not sure what makes you think you'd manage to do that now. More so considering you've equally let a large chunk of your team go.
  7. Who knows, at this stage I'm the guy up on the first floor watching all the drunkards fighting as they get chucked out after last orders. Anything that happens is hilarious. Hearts relegated, Hearts saved, the league null and voided, the league called, United promoted, United not promoted, etc, etc..
  8. The best part will be when the Belgian and French leagues reverse ending of the league, only for the SPFL to continue with theirs because a vote was taken rather than the decision taken by the governing body on it's own. The seethe would be palpable.
  9. My French is passable, when I am in France, when I'm out of the culture it returns to near ignorance at times. However c'est une payant.
  10. Ah, right, no I think you are correct, he is out of contract. I doubt he'll get length of contract he'd want from Celtic nor the guaranteed playing time. We can offer him both, but we certainly can't offer him the money. See Davis, like most I'd be happy to see him in a Saints shirt again. You always felt he could play at a higher level than the Championship. I see Grimsby was claiming the 'rona for his release and according to Wiki he certainly was playing regularly for them.
  11. I actually found the tweet, it followed up the "big announcement of things to come" by announcing nothing, instead changing tack and claiming the TV rights holder is in financial difficulty.
  12. "Got a link?" "Aye, here's a screenshot of someone's twitter."
  13. Got a link? I know Lyon was challenging it but thought the decision was still to come. The French leagues is governed differently to the SPFL though, it's not a "like for like" situation.
  14. That's what I was thinking. That said, perhaps taking him on loan while he gets game time somewhere local and with the 'rona having less of a chance to move down South in the short term. That's just complete conjecture though.
  15. Considering he could pull in considerably more wages than we can offer, I would very much doubt there is anything in this other than either his agent raising awareness or perhaps Goodwin has literally gone round clubs asking who is available.
  16. The way Doncaster has been going about this recently it's almost like he's been told to give successful businesswoman Ann Budge enough (metaphorical) rope to hang herself with so it can't come back and bite him when she does.
  17. No, nothing to do with statute of limitations, more that it makes any legal case on the basis of the league finishing early weaker.
  18. I'm still at a loss as to what exactly the legal stand point could be. Successful businesswoman Ann Budge has had ample opportunity to put forward a plan, she has had the backing of the league body to do so and if the members of the league vote against it, where is the beef? It can't be about the league ending early because if that was the case then court proceedings should have been filed the minute the decision was made.
  19. If Hopkin wants him and Baird is happy to return then I'm guessing it's likely to be for another loan rather than for a fee. At present though, we currently have one central defender (in McCarthy), so we'd need to bring players in before we could let him go out.
  20. Interesting to see Gogic is definitely leaving Accies, if the rumours regarding Goodwin being interested are true of course.
  21. I've always said I'd be happy to have reconstruction, but the problem was that successful businesswoman Ann Budge was desperate for it to be a one or two year thing. If it was a guaranteed 5 year minimum and a vote to determine if we change it again (not an automatic, it must go back to 12) then I've got nothing particular against it. From a purely personal point of view I see this as a win/win. I get the reconstruction I'd prefer, while we all get to laugh at Hearts for wetting the bed so badly they had to bribe the league in order to let them play on.
  22. I'm not shifting anything. I'm not "denying" any team anything. I'm just of the mind we call the end to the whole season for the obvious reasons.
  23. No, that was part of my argument, something you are more than aware of.
