  1. Good. I think we all think he deserved a new contract after the shift he put in before he was injured but "massive boost" is maybe the DR over egging that pudding a touch.
  2. She should be thanked for nothing. Successful businesswoman Ann Budge has nothing to do with it. I hope the accusation of misogyny is not being labelled at me btw. I've been quite clear successful businesswoman Ann Budge should be pilloried for her actions, not the fact she has a vagina.
  3. As a successful businesswoman, successful businesswoman Ann Budge didn't play a particularly successful bluff with her "secret philanthropist".
  4. While most of us recognise the 'pram emptied, toys everywhere' approach ("successfully" adopted by Sevco some years earlier) isn't it a bit counter productive to push for the clubs to go into administration if it means it ends up with them not having a league to play in?
  5. So here's a thing, and I have to caveat it with (a) it was some time ago perhaps 15 years or so, (b) I was quite drunk and (c) they may have been at it, but I used to work in Edinburgh in Leith and some of the RN devs (iirc they had just been rebranded from DMA) told me that the phone numbers in the game were genuine Edinburgh phone numbers. In America they use 555 as the prefix for all the phone numbers because it doesn't exist as a dialling code but it is the dialling code for Leith. In terms of which team they support, I honestly don't believe I asked - and as I say they could have been taking the piss.
  6. There's also still an extant case in the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission against him for it. He might not have been prosecuted for it, but he may well be barred from being a lawyer. Perhaps, and far be it for me to defend Leslie "crazy boy" Deans, but that will be based on conduct and not proving the alleged claim of money laundering.
  7. You think he'll go to Rangers? My opinion is that if he was to go there, he would have gone by now.
  8. I think we start building an ark, and placing football clubs in it two by two, as the flood of salty tears emanating from Gorgie will be biblical.
  9. * cough * After all, the charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence. Not no evidence, mind, but insufficient enough not to bring a criminal case to court.
  10. You mean Leslie Deans don't you? A man who, on live radio, said you can get any advice you want to from a legal advisor.
  11. Single club forums, when they are not your own, are metaphorical junk food. You can dine out on that greasy self entitlement and/or persecution all day and still come back for more. When they are your own, and while I appreciate there are some B&WA posters on here, are a cringefest platter, with a side order of really useful obscure info on the reserve/youth team.
  12. I find OTB a hard listen at the best of times, I cannot imagine no football has improved their patter one scintilla.
  13. I know I shouldn't but I had a quick shufty at JKB. It seems the consensus is that previously they were all doing this for the betterment of Scottish football as a whole, but now Doncaster called successful businesswoman Ann Budge's bluff about 'no strings', they should change tack and be solely looking out for Hearts alone.
  14. Wasn't Thomson notable for 'something else,' and it was Lafferty that got his cock out?
  15. In many ways, go out when you are on top. He's had a couple of cracking seasons, and I'd hate to see him have a bad (or not so good) one and the fickle fans turn on him. Fair play to him still putting in a shift when he said he'd be looking to move on, and for not signing a PCA during those last 6 months - when I'm sure he probably could have.
  16. I'm all for Obika getting the praise he deserves, even if at it's most base level a striker getting lots of positives rather than pelters will always play better. However I also feel that, as we know, a draw would have still kept us up I sort of feel Hladky and the defence don't get the same love. Obvs, the loltastic handball and it being against Hearts is the main headline, I get that.
  17. I'm happy to admit I'm wrong when I am, and I'm clearly wrong on the contract/company situation. Although I do agree that it's a threat in order to gain compensation and some sort of moral victory. Just think of the fun if reconstruction goes through and they are sitting bottom again next season.
  18. Then I stand corrected, then, as I was under the impression the clubs entered into a contract rather than acted as shareholders. If that is the case I'm still unsure as to what legal mechanism could be used to force a team to play in a certain league.
  19. Try that again, as what you wrote doesn't really make sense. However, if I was to try and decipher what you mean, If you look at the Ranger's dossier it's all down to contract law and corporate governance. As for "setting aside" the original decision, where I guess you are referring to the Dundee 'tipped' vote the issue there would again be based on contract law. As teams enter a contract with the SPFL, the regulations that the contract is based upon would decree whether the SPFL can "undo" such decisions without a mandate from a suitable number of clubs. Considering the amount you have posted on this, I really would have thought this would be fairly obvious to you.
  20. Evidently so. The issue would fall under contract law, a civil case if you were wondering. Your assumption that any ruling would proscribe what league Hearts play in is fanciful and down right incorrect. The only positive outcome could be compensation. A moral victory, perhaps, albeit a pyrrhic one. No court could stop the league from commencing, nor could they instruct a private body to place a team within a certain position within it's internal structure. Maybe in the future, you refrain from using terms like "theoretically possible" when it absolutely is not theoretically possible.
  21. Out of interest, just what legal mechanism do you think could be used to do that? Be quite specific here as the law is clear on where its jurisdiction is in regard to private organisations.
  22. I'm more annoyed David Gray is being shared, tbh. As for Hearts, they can complain all they want but if successful businesswoman Ann Budge had sweetened everyone up rather than shouting like a drunken nutter being chucked out after last orders then some movement may have been possible. On top of a catalogue of failures all season, hubris and insults seem to be the cherry on this rather sorry shit cake. I'm just going to put it out there, but perhaps she's not such a successful businesswoman after all.
  23. Pretty embarrassing stuff from successful businesswoman Ann Budge..
