  1. So here we have our green brigade loving friend defending their classes. Does he know anything about their content? Is he not one of those pretending they want to depoliticise football? And here he is making comparisons Here he is insulting people And here he is complaining about insults. "You could have queried, rather than throw insults. " And here, rewriting history. Or more to the point not having a scoobie doo. "the political stances of major powers, and their reaction to events in Spain, led Hitler to the assessment of how far he could push his expansionist policies before meeting resistance," Ignoring then the retaking of the Saarland, the occupation of the Sudetenland then Czechoslovakia, Anschluss and blatant rearmament. As for this? ", and also where he would have to forge alliances in future, in order to protect himself while pursuing European domination." What does that even mean. "a woeful lack of understanding of the development of the political landscape in Europe in the latter half of the 20th Century." An absolute clown-shoe of a human being.
  2. Had the Spanish Civil War not happened, WWII would have still happened and all the same material and tactics would have still been deployed. I am guessing you know nothing of the actual tactics employed in WWII or their development. (You are just blustering because unthinkingly you gobbed off about while groveling to the Green Brigade. Compare to the Peninsula War which was instrumental in the defeat of Napoleon, the reconquista which drove Islam rule from Western Europe or the Punic Wars that begun Roman hegemony over the Mediterranean. Hell it was not even the most important war of the time it was being fought. That would be the Sino-Japanese war that broke out after the Marco Polo Bridge incident. That was the real start of WWII and seen about 22 million people (or more) dead. And as for the Boer War... like everything you touch, so f*ck it up. There were two Anglo Boer wars. One of us knows a fair bit of history, one of us is a moron.
  3. I suspect Mr ‘you have a shakey grasp of history’ is busy reading up on Wikipedia as we speak.
  4. Go on then clownshoe......How did the impact of the Spanish Civil War exceed that of say the Peninsula War? just a series of seething rants.
  5. A minor localised skirmish thats sole impact on history was putting the Falangists in power for a few decades. Compare with say the reconquista, the Peninsula War or the Punic wars that were all fought in Spain and redrew European history. Your out defending them and their politicization of football.
  6. The Spanish Civil War was not even the biggest or most important war in Spain let alone human history. You pompous green brigade loving twat.
  7. So your whole defence of their content was based on a quote by a Rangers fan.... And how is it one of the 'biggest political conflicts the planet has ever seen' And more interestingly one wonders (as none of us has seen the content) why then do the Celtic hold Real in such high regard (Falangist\ Francoist team that they were)
  8. As I referenced O'Duffy in this very thread a few hours ago I may just know that. I am keen on knowing the connection between the Greenbrigade and the Spanish Civil War.
  9. We were talking about the Green Brigades political classes. So where does the Spanish Civil War fit in?
  10. I believe that is what is called in football colloquialisms as an own goal.
  11. Well what conflict would that be (edited because the quotes system is a dog)
  12. At 6? Away and stop talking pish. When ever you start spouting on about yourself there is always this sense of you over cooking the story. Details out of date, not very plausible or just wrong. Reality spiced up with fabrication. Some days I seriously hang back from laying into you because you are such a fucking tragic figure. Lashing out at the Celtic wallopers is fun. Keeps me amused, but with you, I always worry that I am laying into someone with a serious problem.
  13. Interesting that we are now needing to lecture people on the dangers of facism. Will they be lecturing on the Falangists of Spain? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falange Or perhaps O'Duffys Blue Shirts? Or do the skip all that and just get on to "we pure hate **** us"
  14. Eh what? WWII? Ummm interesting turn for WRK to be so pro the GreenBrigade. Even most Celtic fans think they are dicks.
  15. Bit wet this morning, got right through my over shoes and everything. Thought I was bloody flying till I turned round and felt the wind in my face on the way back.
