I'd happily take Shankland again, but it wouldn't surprise me if he's starting to work his way into Aberdeen's plans for this season.

I wouldn't read too much into that, AJ wants to sign him. If Faiss goes, it'll be because someone signed him instead of us releasing him.

Probably the first poor decision AJ has made since he started. On paper, anyway. Like Poet says, hopefully he justifies it in some way but I really can't see the reasoning behind it just now.

Gutted to see Falky leave. Never a spectacular player as an individual but was invaluable at times and a great team player. I'm sure he captained us aged 22 as well as being (one of) the oldest in our lineup for a couple of games post admin, must be a record somehow.

To be fair to, you can see the potential of a god player in him. He must have done something right to get a shot at Rangers and Sheffield Wednesday. Saying that, I'd have much preferred to see Josh re-sign.

No idea. I thought AJ's was finished renewing contracts but Moff signed the other day so there may well be a couple more. There's been very little talk of Falky anyway, whether it's been rumour of a new deal or other clubs interested.
