  1. Not quite sure why I quoted you there. Just about pished by pants at getting to watch a Pars game live again so I’ll blame the excitement.
  2. We have listed 2 trialists so it could be one of them? Although I assumed they were Murray and the boy from Celtic. Edit; just realised the lineup on Twitter, so it’s definitely a trialist. Another listed on the bench so that could be the young boy from Celtic.
  3. I started watching just as the ref pointed to the spot. I’ve got a track record of turning up to games late, and a goal to be scored/conceded just as I arrive. Off the top of my head it’s happened away to Aberdeen (Friday night ‘experiment’), at Firhill c. 2010, at home to Falkirk at the start of 2017/18 and away to Brechin when Falkingham scored in the first minute. The trend even continues in preseason friendlies.
  4. I still maintain he holds some kind of record for the most balls punted over the hedge in one single game at Brechin.
  5. McBookie are offering 9/2 for Dunfermline Winning without Hearts. They're giving 1/5 odds for first 3, so does that mean 2nd, 3rd and 4th, or just top 3? Either way it's not a bad bet.
  6. I agree. He wasn’t portrayed as someone who indulged in self-pity and that he couldn’t be blamed for his behaviour. I think abuse is a likely reason for his actions, but not one that he was going to talk about. I think the thought of notoriety consumed him as well. It may well have been that the first murder was the most ‘accidental’ out of all of them, and realising that he’ll get a serious sentence as well as public attention, why not carry on for as long as you can? More murders = more interest might have been his thinking. Life probably isn’t worth living as a murderer, so why not get a bit of fame out of it?
  7. You can wear a football top at any age IMO. Perfectly fine for fives or the gym. Tbh I only draw the line at folk beyond the age of 12 getting a name on the back, particularly if it’s their own name, or some kind of attempt at patter.
  8. Always found the “I don’t care about the Dunfermline but the Pars badge is my profile picture” poster a bit confusing.
  9. Tennant’s most impressive feat is getting the Fraserburgh accent so spot on, yet understandable without the need for subtitles.
  10. Room (2015) Excellent film. It had my heart racing even when nothing in particular was happening, such is the desperately gripping nature of the story. The wee boy playing Jack was very impressive, he and the mum captured the wild range of emotions and trauma you’d probably experience in their situations.
  11. Imagine my disappointment when you start a post like this, only to end up talking about fucking stock cubes.
  12. “98% survival rate” “More people die from the flu” I actually saw “more people have died from depression” on Twitter the other day.
  13. Ignoring the infuriatingly-unnecessary use of emojis, there’s a lot of these “there just making it up as they go along!!!” posts kicking about. Yes, the UK government have made a consistent hoor of things throughout this pandemic, but you’d have to be pretty fucking dense to not understand the restrictions that are in place.
  14. Always seems odd when a winger is a (vice) captain for some reason.
  15. GLASGOW BEER/WHISKY TASTING Now that I have your attention. Does anyone know of any places in or around Glasgow for beer/whisky tasting that will be open now (or in about 3 weeks. Couple of my mates are coming for the weekend and I’m trying to think of something slightly different to do for a change. It doesn’t necessarily have to be anything elaborate, even if it’s a pub that offers half a dozen 1/4 pints of world/craft beers. I’ve tried looking at the usual Wellpark and West brewery tours but it doesn’t look like they’re doing tours at the moment.
  16. Bit of a botched statistic that, seeing as colour TV didn’t come to the Lang toon until 2003.
  17. I know, hopefully one day we can be big enough to be 1-0 at half time against someone who ends up beating us.
  18. Did we only hit 2500 last season? I thought we’d comfortably got over 3000 or am I going daft? ETA a quick search on twitter and it looks like you’re right. Looks like we did in 2018/19 but not last season.
  19. Unhinged (2020) Enjoyable enough, I thought the first half was much stronger than the second, and for one main reason. Saying that, I liked how the film was concise and wasn’t padded out with a back/side story (which isn’t always a bad thing, but this film suited the straight-to-the-point plot). 7/10. Being at the cinema socially distant was fantastic. Barely anyone there, nobody near you and you didn’t have to get up for folk going back and forth for a pish during the film.
  20. I don’t know how other clubs are doing in comparison to recent seasons but as Rob says, shifting just under 2000 with about 6 weeks before the start of the season isn’t bad. In fact, last year we’d sold a ‘handful shy of 2000’ on the 28th June, which was just 5 weeks before the start of the league season. As the season approaches, hopefully with the prospect of being able to attend more games than expected, we’ll probably see a bit of a surge in sales. Add in the excitement of the takeover should boost interest a bit too.
  21. Terracing for the North Stand would be great for the atmosphere. I’d love to see that.
