  1. Out of the Twitter replies, my favourite was Morton fan posting a gif of a pride flag with the comment “you’ll be flying this at Firhill soon” and someone replied “why would we fly a Morton flag?” Schoolboy patter.
  2. That’s a good point re non-Thistle supporters, as you must be one of the only clubs doing something like this at the moment. There’s every chance this could catch on to a very wide audience and get (hopefully mostly positive) attention from around the world. My initial thought was that there may be so many people narrow-minded enough to avoid buying the kit because it’s being “shoved down our throats.” That’s no comment on Thistle fans, just as football fans in our society in general. Aye, I’m sure you’ll have a much better chance at promotion if your marketing/PR team focused on good, old-fashioned straight kits rather than this politically correct nonsense, eh.
  3. The rainbow kit, while a nice idea, is a huge risk from a sales perspective. There’ll be plenty fans actively avoiding buying it, if the replies on Twitter are anything to go by. Bold move by the club though and they should be applauded for it.
  4. Big fan of the festive Tennents pint glasses. Probably the best thing about Christmas tbh.
  5. I really don't think Lewis Martin should be our first choice left back.
  6. I think one of the earlier signings (Comrie?) can play out wide but he's probably being signed primarily as a full back. Unless Crawford is setting us up for a 352/532 with wingbacks. We've got a few centre halves on the books now.
  7. Tbh our squad looked better on paper last season. We don’t really know what we’re getting with most of our signings so far.
  8. I think the signing philosophy just now is to go with mostly younger lads with a few older, experienced players.
  9. Sad to see we’re losing Jackson but hopefully the daft English b*****ds are launching (in second tier Scottish football terms) a silly amount of money our way for him.
  10. Mental the amount of folk that have degrees in contract law when it comes to football players. You all sound like pish-stained OAPs sitting in the boozer rambling utter shite about something you know nothing about.
  11. Handsome b*****d. Loves a good twirl on the ball. He’s a bit slow but if played around a more mobile CM then you’ll have an effective ball-playing midfielder capable of breaking down attacks rather than a total passenger.
  12. Gaston is a quality keeper for this level, terrific signing.
  13. I hope that’s what he means because our squad is looking very limited right now and 4 players on top of that doesn’t seem nearly enough.
  14. If that’s true, explain 2010/11 with Alex Keddie being a regular starter.
  15. Chuffed to see Ryan signing on again. Hope he has a decent season, I'm firmly in the "we haven't seen the best of him yet" camp.
  16. He was definitely comparing the quality of Oliver Kahn and Kevin Nisbet. Definitely what he was doing there.
  17. Seen him described as a box-to-box midfielder. Likes to get stuck in, has great energy and doesn’t shite out of a challenge. Turner and Beadling could be a good partnership.
  18. I knew he’d been performing well for Stranraer but fans from League One teams seem to think he’ll be a strong Championship player as well. It’s a big jump in quality but it’s encouraging to hear such positive reviews.
  19. Would be surprised to see him go any further north if it’s true his partner stays down south.
  20. Really likeable guy who looked to have a great attitude. All the best to him.
  21. I've been saying thinking Billy King seems like a very Dunfermline-y signing right now. Nathan Austin, tae.
