  1. Tried to buy 2 tickets for seating area in away end for tonight, but they seem to be sold out. Are standing tickets available? Couldnt see anything on the ticket website and you guys dont seem to have an office/contact number?
  2. Aye, i did think about the age thing, but just checked and Holt only 30 and Muirhead 32 - surely every squad benefits from a couple of old heads, especially at centre back? Both probs have another 3/4 seasons in them. I think the Muirhead thing is kind of pantomime villain stuff - im sure a couple of solid performances for us and all that would be forgotten. Whether he feels differently/negatively about Queens, I have no idea
  3. Maybe pie in the sky thinking because of the wages involved, but now that wee McCall’s away from Partick, maybe a good time for Marv to chance his arm & solve our defensive woes for next season by putting a couple of pre-contracts under the noses of Holt & Muirhead to come and play their football back home in Dumfries next season? They seem like exactly the type of defenders we need and would help young Brydon progress.
  4. Hibs reserve keeper recalled by Huddersfield. Does this affect our loan of Dabrowski?
  5. Got to be the away end surely. U dont want to take the chance of him defecting to be a Falkirk fan
  6. Havent seen this announcement anywhere. U got a link?
  7. Thanks for the confirmation SD that we have, as I thought, a dreadful record at NDP
  8. I know its not Accies we’re playing, but I’ve been to NDP numerous times to watch Queens and never seen us win. Anyone any idea the last time we won a game there?
  9. As others have said in a variety of posts: Best for me last night were Hendrie, D McKay, Todd, Connolly & East. I was impressed by East’s willingness to take the ball in tight spots, despite the opposition. McKay showed good aggression & positional awareness, something we have been sadly lacking in central defence Hendrie, after a sluggish start, came on to a really good game. Was aggressive when required and was calm in possession Gav looked a bit fitter and more like himself Connollys finish and all-round attitude were superb Great & noisy travelling support Looked more than 30,000 to me. Not many gaps in a 50,000 seat stadium. Hopefully the lads can take a lot of confidence from this and we can kick on a bit in the league. My vote would be to put our £150,000 share ( or whatever it is) straight into the new pitch fund.
  10. Slightly worrying that their B team smacked Dumbarton (top of League Two) 7-0 last night
  11. And missing Gibson himself, our best player over the last 2 seasons. Looks a very lightweight line-up from middle to front
  12. Yeah, you could be right and maybe im being a bit unfair on the boy in terms of injuries. I do remember he went down in 89th minute v Cove and was out for a few weeks. Probably my memory of a stop /start season for him is more down to Johnsons continual tinkering last season. Hopefully we can get a much more settled line up on the pitch this year
  13. Im quite pleased with the way the squad is shaping up and its great to get some early signings on board. Only slight concern is that Cochrane, Todd, McKechnie and McGrory appear to be made of glass. This, coupled with Paul McKays injury woes this season, Gav’s recent injury worries, Wilsons injury history and what the QP fans have said about Morrisons injuries, makes me think its could be a bit unbalanced. Only Gibson & Paton would appear to be the robust types that manage to play a whole season uninterrupted. East was another who rarely seemed to miss a game, so hope he re-signs. Of course these things are never an exact science and luck plays a huge part, but adding a couple of guys who have averaged 30/40 games a season for a couple of years would be good.
  14. I liked him. Solid defender and seems a good character. Would have been happy for us to re-sign him
  15. It is a big ask for a novice manager, but he has Grant Murray to assist him in the process. Murray has previous experience of having to build a squad over 2 or 3 summers when Raith manager. Hopefully, between them, they can spot & sign some decent players. It would be interesting to know Rovers fans thoughts on the quality of Murrays signings when he was in charge there
  16. Ex Queens man Owen Moxon looked like the best player on the pitch last night.
  17. Whats Rohan Ferguson up to these days? Always thought he was a decent keeper
  18. A wee overnight trip planned to Dundee lads. Whats the best Indian restaurant in the town centre? Cheers
  19. Yes, we dont want our rivals appointing competent managers. So it looks like Airdrie, Montrose, Queens Park ( if none of them go up) as well as Falkirk & Kelty are all going to be decent next season. Gulp.
  20. Thats unfortunate. U could see the difference a run of games and some belief from the manager made to his performance level and attitude. Would have been good to have him for tomorrow as im sure he would have made us better.
  21. Scott Brown as player/ manager? Him & Wullie to form an old-timers midfield duo that would sweep us to the League 1 title.
  22. My reset button for next season would mean: • Stay full-time in an effort to bounce straight back up • Gibson & Murray given 1 year manager contracts • Rae, East, McGrory, McKechnie & Fitzpatrick to be signed on again to join Gibson, McKay, Cochrane, Paton, Cowie, Chima (!) & Todd as signed players • Offers made to Connolly & O’ Conner, although unlikely to sign • depending on how many of the above sign, bring in at least 6 new signings • Lay a better plastic pitch • start a programme of grounds maintenance I reckon with the money we have in the bank all of the above is realistic.
  23. “Elsewhere” - could you be more specific? Is this definite?
