  1. I could see Brechin giving Brora a good fight next season. You only have at teams like Lincoln and Tranmere down south to see that dropping out the league isn’t a death knell.
  2. My understanding is that the impression was of a well run club, just lacking in ground requirements. Try again next year sort of thing. I hope so.
  3. https://www.stenhousemuirfc.com/2021/05/12/stenhousemuir-and-syngenta-form-strategic-partnership/amp/?__twitter_impression=true it’s good to see it’s not just a ground share at ochilview.
  4. It was made clear before applications closed last year that from this year on any new entrants would start at the bottom. The WL clubs still chose to stay where they were. There weren't supposed to be conferences in the upcoming season. It's only because of the early end of the season that they are staying in place.
  5. As several posters have said on here the favoured option is for teams to play in the same conferences as last season with the new applicants forming a division at tier 8. The only thing to be announced is how the promotion and relegation would work. No mention of PPG.
  6. The Midland league appears to be coming under the control of the SJFA so all teams in it next season will still be members. Has there been any indication from any of the WL teams that they will be continuing their membership of the SJFA?
  7. Not one Fife team retained their SJFA membership last year and I haven’t seen any mention in the statements from this year’s entrants to say that they are staying in the SJFA.
  8. The votes have been cast FWF and the results will be revealed at tomorrow night’s meeting. In past years the results haven’t been officially released until the applicants have been informed as it should be. My understanding is that the conferences will be exactly the same as last season with the new applicants forming a division at tier 8. What is still to be decided is how tiers 7,8 and 9 will be formed for the following season.
  9. That was my thoughts about Letham as well which is why I wondered if geography played a part in their rejection.
  10. I’d be interested to know if Letham were turned down on geographical grounds. While Jeanfield and Kinnoull can’t be made to move leagues will any future Perth based teams be directed to the Midland League?
  11. Any idea whose applications were rejected by the board? There were six of them of which two will be Letham and Forfar. But who were the other four?
  12. What do we know of Edinburgh College? Ps, they will be joining subject to their application being approved.
  13. Has it been confirmed that Letham have been rejected by the EOS. And if so why?
  14. If seven teams were rejected by the board and only four were from Tayside do we know who the other three were?
  15. He’s not. He’s showing what will happen for the 22-23 season if the teams finished in the same positions as they were in this year. It’s just an example.
  16. Do we have any idea who the other rejected clubs were?
  17. Tayport will get into the ML. My questions on the subject were mistaken. my understanding is that the EOS want to implement the HL/LL line but not until the ML is set up which means Tayport will be safely in the ML before any boundaries are set.
  18. No club will be obligated to move leagues if they fall the wrong side of the agreed boundary. That's only right. That applies to clubs already in existing senior leagues but if the line is applied then will Tayport be obligated to join the EOS rather than the ML?
  19. I know but if the EOS are wanting to apply the HL/LL line rather than geographical areas where does that leave Tayport?
  20. Are Tayport above or below the the HL/LL line of latitude?
  21. Have to disagree on this one. All the clubs will do is vote on what’s best for them individually rather than what’s best for the game or the pyramid. So those clubs who are near the top of the table will want to continue. Those near the bottom will want null and void. The board should have made the decision last night.
  22. You’re right. Little Kerse wasn’t deemed suitable by the EOS so Syngenta did a last minute deal with dunipave which only became apparent on the night of the AGM.
