Blackburn 2 Dunipace 1
The only thing we can be certain of in this promotion race is that we can’t be certain of anything.
Here’s hoping our game at Newtongrange goes ahead on Saturday.

The clocks go forward tonight. Might be able to get a 6.30 kick off in midweek in a couple of weeks although 20th makes sense as you say.
A 6.30pm kickoff wouldn’t allow for extra time and penalties Tam.

I take it lochore vs camelon will go to Saturday 20th April?
It’s not set in stone but given that Lochore don’t have lights it can’t be a midweek game so the 20th makes sense.

Dunipace 1:4 Dunbar United
Superb day for the club.
The final of the EoSQC. Not bad at all.
No mention of the second goal?

In the last few weeks Heriot Watt have beaten St Andrews and Camelon as well as drawing with Newtongrange.
They are playing the role of spoilers to perfection.

Well the new manager bounce did not materialise for Camelon today.
They appear to be imploding at just the wrong time.
We now know that Dunipace require 9 points from six games and Saints need 12 from 7 matches to be sure of promotion.
It’s a shame that we break off for cup ties next weekend.

I can’t fault the St Andrews Citizen(owned by Johnston Press) who give the Saints the best part of two pages every week plus regular interviews with our manager on their social media.

Blackburn 1 St Andrews 2
St Andrews finally move into the promotion places. And they still have games in hand on Camelon and Newtongrange.
We’re in a good position.

So it's in Nitten's hands then?

So it’s a shootout between Dunipace and Newtongrange for top spot? Good to see the Midlothian team back in the Premier League next season.
Very good

Nitten still have to play Dunipace, Whitburn & St Andrews (2 of them at home) so i wouldn't discount them yet. 2 defeats in 20 odd games, maybe just a dip in the last 2.
That’s why I’m discounting them. All five of their remaining games are against teams in the top 7 with tricky visits to Leith and Blackburn to come.
Realistically Star are going to need to win at least four of those five. Difficult.

All the best to Gordon and Martin but im sure the players will now push on and get the club promoted.
They are bang in there with a chance. I think it’s a straight shootout between Camelon and Whitburn for the third promotion spot.

A big day for St Andrews as they hold on for a hard fought win over Camelon and Newtongrange drop more points.
Saints are now two points behind Camelon and one behind Newtongrange with three and four games in hand respectively.
We are still not in the promotion places and yet we have to be odds on to go up now.

Right so why would other clubs in a league not having the desire/ability to pursue being a Senior club stop any potential team from joining with that as their end goal?
Why should they be forced to become amateur when they may want to play their players?

I think the issue is that in the west any team that wants to enter the pyramid and has a bit of money to invest to create a team that will progress through the ranks now has to become amateur.
what happens if they want to pay their playing squad? Why should they be forced to join an organisation they have no interest in?

The same as I've said when people go on about the junior Cupbeing all in. It's fantasists that are obsessed with it rather than the clubs. I'm sure the North juniors don't want to travel down as it costs money and same for teams to go up there.
Only changes I'd make is create a lowland league first division and it could improve the promotion relegation and sosfl problem.
Or another possible is put brechin in lowland league and make midland league as a 4th feeder and allow St Andrews newburgh, luncarty kinnoull and jeanfield to move to that as it would cut their travel
Yet again someone assumes that St Andrews want to play in the Midland league and don’t want to travel.
It’s the SCOTTISH football pyramid that we are in not a Fife and Tayside one. We will play anywhere in Scotland. St Andrews didn’t complain when they had to go to Tweedmouth the last couple of years or when they went to Ardrossan this season.
If Camelon were ever good enough to win the Lowland League and then win the playoff would you turn down promotion to the SPFL on the grounds that you don’t want to travel to Elgin or Stranraer?

Think we'll be playing you guys next season burnie,it's been a step up this season that's for sure.
Some good teams in this league.
Although if the 3 or 4 above us go up,won't be so tough next season, regardless of Bo'ness Athletic or who is coming down from the Premier.
Don’t write your team off yet.
if Whitburn win their games in hand on Camelon and Newtongrange they would be in the promotion places.
Hopefully we can do your team a favour next Saturday.

Arniston 3 St Andrews 4.
A frustrating game in which Saints should have been out of sight in the first hour then went 4-1 up with ten minutes to go only to concede goals from a set piece and a penalty to make things unnecessarily tense.
However it was an excellent day with three of our main rivals dropping points.
I just wish we could play our games in hand to see where we rightfully sit in the table.
instead it’s a massive clash at home to Camelon on Saturday.

So much for us playing our first game in hand on Newtongrange today

St Andrews have to be real dark horses, after seeing them in the flesh twice recently they have a decent squad and are well managed.
Not sure who the games in hand are against, but they must quietly fancy their chances!
Pace v Nitten 2 weeks tomorrow is going to be a huge game, but need to take care of Preston on Saturday.
its shaping up to be a great end to the season with some twists and turns to come no doubt!

Our next three ties are all games in hand on Newtongrange as the Star were due to play Rosyth yesterday and then take part in the league cup next Saturday.
We’ll have a better position of where we stand a week on Wednesday.

Rosyth literally not existing and still being above Vale of Leithen is hilarious
The rules state that Rosyth finish the league in 16th so they should have been placed there now.

Well the fixtures for the next few weeks are out.
Saints will play three of their games in hand on Newtongrange between now and 19th March. Also two of their games in hand on Camelon and Whitburn.
So we should have a better idea of where we stand by then.

Nitten's run-in is tough, but if they play like they did at home on Saturday to Camelon, they should be promoted. And, they still have Dunipace and St Andrews to play at home.
I've been saying for a month or more, the likes of St Andrews will be playing 3-4 games in 8 days soon enough, so I'd rather have the points in the bag.
Thankfully we have managed to get knocked out of two cups in recent weeks so that frees up some time
Hopefully the latest round of fixtures will come out shortly. Be good if we get a couple of midweek ties.

Mathematically Dunipace need nine points from five games to secure promotion but that only if Camelon or Newtongrange win all their remaining games.
i think you guys will be ok.
