I would then be in a position to officially confirm Rowan was dead.
So that is an admission that you, too, were wanting to be a Peterhead fan minutes before that pic of you was taken (in your avatar?)

My hands are blue...........not good sign
Maybe it is just a sign that you want to support Peterhead?
My real advice however, go get a nice warm pair of gloves.

Crash 6/10
How did that win the Oscar??
Because it was an absolutely brilliant film, with some amazing scenes in it

Totally agree with that comment. The knob end that cast Morgan freeman as Alex Cross should be butchered by Gary Sonejy.
I've read most of his books and they're brilliant!
If you like Pattersons books, you should also try David Baldacci's books.
As for returning to the actual thread. I've just finished "The world according to clarkson volume 2"
There are a few of his books in my bookshelf to be read IM trying to catch up with ones my wife likes. She tends to go home and read a lot so i fall way behind in the books
edited to add:- The reason i keep thinking of morgan freeman is just because he was in the films. Im sure ill do the same with Anthony Hopkins with the new Hannibal book that is another in my bookshelf.

Last book i read was Cross by James Patterson. Its the latest in his Alex Cross series of books, excellent read 10/10. It is where he "finds" the killer of his wife from years ago. I dont know about anyone else, but every time i read one of his books i read it like Morgan Freeman is narrating

I have just realised that the only two other staff on duty at the moment are downstairs dealing with flights and that I am all alone in the office until the night shift start at 5 O'clock! What's the betting the phones don't stop ringing for the next hour and a half?!
Whats your phone number?

I wholeheartedly agree with you and I do try to be "the caring manager" - which is not always popular with my boss. - but nothing will convince me that striking will do anything to help.
I totally agree. Striking is, in my opinion, the WORST possible outcome that can happen.

But this lecturer is a w**ker who often asks questions in exams on stuff thats not in the notes. and they only way to GET the notes in the first place is to turn up...
I cant beleive you havent realised that the best thing to do in this case is become good friends with a trustworthy person, who you can copy notes from

Strange, I was gonnae post that in the 'Reasons to be Cheerful' thread.
Why, what did they do?

Cold sores.
I think i may have to invest in a balaclava
I aint had a cold sore in years. I used to get them all the time in the UK, and came over to the states. I felt i was going to get one and went to buy Zovirax (acyclovir) and was told i needed a prescription to get it. I said f**k that ill risk not getting one (and i didnt ) and just get my mum to send over some for the next time. The zovirax arrived about 2 weeks later and i havent had a cold sore yet

Little Miss Sunshine - it was pretty good - the end was really funny, and a great cast.
8/10.
Yeah i enjoyed it too. Everyone played their roles really well and it deserves some awards recognition that it is getting. I thought the whole dealing with the "death" was excellent, but would have been even funnier if there was a mix-up with bodies somehow Apparently there are about 4 alternate endings but i never got the chance to watch them before having to return the DVD. (id give it 8/10 too)
Other films watched the past weekend :-
Ice Age Meltdown - much along the same lines as the first Ice Age, pretty funny kids cartoon overall. 7/10
The Night Listener - wierd film with Toni Collette and Robin Williams about a radio host who tells stories at night. He gets involved in a case with Toni Collette "looking after a kid who was abused by his parents" in a paedophile way and contracted HIV. I still dont know if i have the right answer to what was going on but it is a good film anyway. Could have done with being a little longer to get more answers in it but id give it 6/10
US Marshalls - Older film but i hadnt seen it before. Same idea as The Fugitive and almost identical film. Basically a no brainer enjoyment film although as with most films, the bad guy is far too easy to predict if you have a famous person not being a front line actor. 7/10
Last Holiday - Film with Queen Latifah and LL Cool J, about a person told they are going to die in 3 weeks, despite living a life watching what they do and what she eats. She decides to cash in all the money she can and go and do what she always wanted to do and to hell with the consequences (well she is going to die anyway). Some great performances and a really funny film that i enjoyed even although i wasnt all that keen on the film anyway. Gerard Depardieu is one of the funniest actors around IMO. 7/10

It's not so much the fact they suggest it, as you can only obviously give a review on somewhere you've been.
For exmaple if some has only been on a holiday to Cyrpus, they will go out ouf their way to recommend it to everyone despite the fact for a beach type holiday there are thousands of places exactly the same (and better)
But if they have only been to Cyprus, and think its the best place there is to go for that holiday then ofcourse they are going to say that.

People who haven't been to too many places on holiday, and when asked if they have any ideas where someone should go on holiday, always claim one of the places they have been. They invariably think it is the best place in the world despite having never seen many other much better places. It happens all the time on p&b
This isn't to do with Debbie and Barca, but it sort of reminded me of this.
Well they are hardly going to suggest a place they have never been saying that it is brilliant are they

I just hate these nobbers that drive with their foglights on, all the time, when the nearest fog bank is in the North fuckin' Sea. It's not big and it's not clever. It doesn't make you a hard man/quine-it makes you look like the tit you undoubtedly are. STOP IT !
I feel much better now
Replace fog lights with ANY lights when they are not needed.

It's not the same
Going back to my original question, having surround sound will add nothing to the film. It was probably not even made for stereo speakers.
0 -
Does when the centre speaker dosent work and you cant hear any dialogue
Watch it on a normal system then
0 -
Having problems with my surround sound kit (centre speaking not working, tried everything)
Might put off watching it till I get it fixed
I dont think surround sound will make much difference to the film

Benny Hill
He is the scientist guy in it. Youll understand when you see it. Good value for a fiver (dont pay attention to Salty, Benny Hill has such an small part in the movie i wouldnt really call it a benny hill film).

and if you've never seen it before it's worth watching for one of the all-time brilliant scenes where a pissed off Persian seeks revenge against a locksmith who he thinks has wronged him.
10/10
Agree 100%. That could be the 21st centurys BEST film scene, and certainly already is one of the all time best.

Well it's breast cancer so if you're going to get any of them I suppose it's the one to get.

People who turn up in hospital for the most ridiculous of reasons.
My personal favourite from today: 'I got out of my car and a bit of masonry fell on it and I would have been injured if I was still in the car'
But you weren't in the car, ergo you are not injured
'Och, aye, but I'm in shock'
My prescription: go home and have a very large glass of wine / whisky/ brandy.
(I'm sooooo going to get struck off )
Youve been watching too much House

Thanks all who have/will say Happy Birthday (happy birthday HT too)
Happy birthday HT and Bluetooner (happy with today's appointment?)Im not actually a big Falcons fan, they are just the game that is always on TV over any other with them being the local team. I tend to watch the NFL as a neutral. Im not sure on the appointment however, Louisville play in quite a poor division with only 1 or 2 real teams each year so his good record isnt all that impressive compared to an SEC team (which i would have preffered, but i dont think Mark Richt is ready for an NFL job just yet). Will have to see, Vick doesnt really equate well to how Louisville played
Happy birthday HTYou Cnut. I even said nice things about your pussy.

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

Watched Hollywoodland on Friday night, it was based around the true story of the "Murder/Suicide" of superman. Basically the actor that first played superman (Ben Affleck) was found dead, having been shot. It is announced as suicide, but a private detective (Adrien Brody) was hired to find out more. He gives evidence that the murderer could have been a few different groups of people, and leaves you thinking who could it have been (it has never been confirmed as murder) Good storyline and some excellent performances, 8/10
Watched flags of our father, the Clint eastwood film about the soldiers who raised the american flag on Iwo Jima. Some great performances from the cast and an excellent film. Harrowing at times, and showed the need of some Heroes to be seen during WWII. 9/10
