  1. Your request for him to un-mask himself might carry more weight if you yourself un-masked instead of hiding behind a 6 letter acronym for blind loyalty?
  2. What's the French for repeating the same stuff repeatedly?
  3. I would think the council tax alone would be in 5 figures for a sports stadium, the maintenance would be high, and the security (not game stewards) .....
  4. Brighton, I am only too aware of why the CIC 'employee owned' model was the one chosen. It was a governance structure the chairman knew well and believed in. It had one redeeming feature regarding the long term protection of the club. I am not sure that even fits. if someone really wanted the club a la Clydebank and Airdrie then it is not impossible to envisage a day when they could muster more members than Clyde fans could and control may slip away.
  5. What is to sell? No assets, probably no liabilities, so at best neutral finances. No positive future cash flow to base a valuation on, a team that is average and no money to improve it. Worst of all a desperately split and divisive support who cannot agree on anything and regularly threaten to walk away. What is it we are selling? CIC may have worked in an environment of success and growth, not at a time of decline and our worst ever performance. It needs momentum and motivation of those involved not growing apathy. It will lead us to be a Montrose, East Stirling or the like. Alive but permanently on life support. Unlike CFCuk I voted yes to the EK plan. Clearly not because I wanted to dilute the Clyde name , history or anything else, but because in my opinion we were on a journey to oblivion and what was being suggested was better than nothing. For me that journey continues apace and we will need something radical to avoid permanent irrelevance. Some will say better to be 100% Clyde and playing at the level we are at than any dilution or other radical plan re location or ownership. Failure to make a change will ensure this is what we are by default. Watching garbage with no hope of progress, with 250 others in an 8000 capacity stadium, as people continue to argue and bicker with each other- I have other ways to spend £300 a year. Seeking a consortium to take over rather than seeking another Shettleston or Glencairn may be a better use of time. Or then again....
  6. 2016 Scottish Cup winners! Won't get that sort of success in a Clyde jersey again.
  7. Ah well, back to watching under 15 football for a while longer. Shame, I thought the effort and performance at Stirling was decent.
  8. Where are we up to regarding relocation? Is there another Rutherglen, EK, Shettleston, in the pipeline? What is the plan for a new chairman/strategic leader? Season could be dead by Wednesday so back to planning the big stuff...............
  9. The vice chairman is a nice guy, who has worked for the club for many years. The club needs people like him. However in my humble opinion, he is not the leader the club needs at the moment. I cannot imagine him having the vision, the strength to deal with a character like Ferguson, or the answer to 'should he be sacked and replaced by xxxxx xxxxxx'
  10. The previous three posts from BC, TBP and Hd all have merit. For me (though not everyone) you need two things to be true for people to find the time and money to attend football. 1. It needs to be enjoyable more often than not. There are always days that are not but they need to be balanced by a similar or greater number of enjoyable games. For me it is also broader than the 90 mins on the pitch. By that I mean the pre match beer/chat/trip away etc. 2. You also need a belief or an element of hope that progress is probable or at least possible. This is where the vision and the delivery of the strategy comes into play. No vision or a repeated failure to deliver on a vision takes away the belief and the hope that playing at a better level, with better players on show and an atmosphere in the ground will return in the short to medium term. The ambition of a significant proportion of our support for that level of performance and enjoyment generates a frustration and eventually decisions that can be read throughout any Clyde thread especially this one. Until number 2 above is delivered on, there won't be enough of number 1 which increases frustration, reduces attendances and and ironically makes the whole thing a catch-22. The clock is ticking.
  11. Dear dear, but they are all lovable rogues after all...
  12. Spent the first 45 mins watching 20 or so idiots around me arguing over seats, pushing each other, telling the people behind them to stand if they want to see, including the kids and then hugging like long lost buddies. Big day out in the big city, and they can't handle it. Game was fairly average, just as well opposition were poor. Dear seats for me next time to see if I can actually watch the game. Best fans my ass
  13. Back to the earlier comment, if you type in English you may get a response.
  14. Whoaaa he's onto people with a bit of money now. Move over English people its the West of Scotland middle classes who are now in the firing line. The ones who pay their council tax so he's got a library to sit in all day, posting on here.
  15. Type that again in English and he might be able to construct a response. Moving to Glasgow hasn't helped your education much.
  16. Well I heard it. It was laughable. Really embarassing. Apparently New Zealand doesn't exist though, cos I've never seen it.
  17. This Dryhorce bloke is a total embarassment! Best fans award! Well I suppose if you have never achieved anything else in life every award counts! Even those from the 90's shared with 22,000 other people, assuming he was present of course, and not sitting in a village hall somewhere in South Ayrshire with 24 cans of Kestrel watching STV with his best mate Brucie, the Cumnock over 80's booling champion.
  18. We have led everyone a merry dance here. Rangers will be back in the spl on monday due to us highlighting the wrongs of a div 1 entry. Charles will then repay the remainder of our nlc debt and we will begin our rush back up the leagues to join our Glasgow brethren. Whoowhaha its worked a treat.
  19. Your signature and comments almost give credence to rangers fans bigotry. You just cant leave it alone because you feed off each other. Could you lot not just piss off with them, cause 7 old firm derbies arent enough by at least 32 games. Its like watching two dingos fighting over a jobby.
  20. and WHILST WE ARE ON IT - PERSONAL PREJUDICE MANY OF US ARE FROM BRIDGETON, AND ARE THEREFORE FROM MIXED FAMILIES I.E. CLYDE AND RANGERS FANS. THERE IS THEREFORE NO PLEASURE TAKEN FROM SEEING THOSE FAMILY MEMBRS WHO ARE GENUINE RANGERS FANS SUFFER, BUT THAT'S NO REASON WHY THEY SHOULD NOT DO THE RIGHT THING. ANYONE MOCKING RANGERS FANS OUT OF PREJUDICE IS NO BETTER THAN SOME OF THIER 'FANS'
  21. If Newco are not allowed back in through a strangely effective and brave outbreak of voting for radical change (but probably without too much thought as to how to fix the whole structure afterwards) will Celtic then buy Portsmouth (or similar), and follow up on their threat to play in English leagues? This could be quickly followed by New co buying Bournemouth and the derby is back on. Hearts will then lead the SPL for 39 weeks before their bottle crashes, Motherwell will come with a late surge as their 17 earlier postponed home games are played through May & June. Crowds are up then at Firpark as their new commercial deal sees them play 4 home games back to back on a Sunday for £12 entry. Aberdeen lose 10 000 fans as they have no Iain Durrant supporters to hate - crowds are down to -1753 therefore. The Dundee derby becomes The Big One. Clyde eventually move back to Shawfield to take advantage of all the Brigton Derry roaming around looking for a game to go to on a Saturday afternoon - crowds are up and Clyde push through the leagues on the back of the revenues. Hibs win the Scottish Cup - nope, too far! Or maybe something more bizarre will happen!
