  1. Goalkeepers: Who cares, Who cares, Who cares Defenders: Who cares, Who cares, Who cares, Who cares, Who cares, Who cares, Who cares, Who cares Midfielders: Who cares, Who cares, Who cares, Who cares, Who cares, Who cares, Who cares, Who cares Forwards: Who cares, Who cares, Who cares, Who cares, Who cares I was going to give a specific comedy 25th player, to show that there's just one I'd actually think deserving of a place, but I couldn't really think of one. Given we're 6 months away from the games that actually matter, and the absolute lack of talent currently, we may as well just pick a squad from the Championship for all it matters to me.
  2. And the cycle completes! I can maybe see why there'd be reticence to act, to be honest. We're now less than 2 weeks out of the transfer window closing, which is 2 weeks after the point we should have really had a competent manager handling things. Well, I suppose with the boardroom stuff, that might be unfair. I was impressed with him in the January window, so maybe targets fell through, or some weren't available due to funds being withdrawn, who knows. But now any new manager would be stuck for months with a team that is clearly really, really lacking in mental strength, let alone footballing ability. Of course, whether that's a decent enough reason not to just not let him back on the team bus (if we've got one) tonight is subjective. I wouldn't exactly be disappointed if he was just fired into the North Sea before they left the city limits.
  3. So when is Caldwell getting punted then? I'm always someone who errs on giving the manager time, usually because it's just as much down to the absolute shitebags on the pitch as the manager. But...well, he's just not going to survive much longer, is he? We are utterly devoid of anything, and the only reason we got a draw against a team that most people said will go straight back down, is a very generous offside. We're fucking rank. EDIT: And I know he's scored, but whatever we're paying Kenny Miller is too fucking much. I think getting rid of Doolan was probably the right decision in a footballing sense, but to replace him with someone like Miller, on probably decent wages, is something you just can't dress up as anything approaching a good decision.
  4. To be fair, if we upgrade our performances to absolutely bodying teams worse than us, that's an improvement. I'm not sure there's really any plan, let alone a different plan for facing big and wee teams.
  5. But you had such a good time, Craig...

  7. I was going to say, well its only two games, but then it isn't I guess. We'll have two semi-finals for each division. If it was a weekend they must be able to get away with having staggered kick-off times, but can't imagine them doing that for a weekday. Can't imagine UEFA will be that keen to completely change their week of football shite for what could be - for the neutral - a very exciting watch either though. Agree on the neutral part. Obviously it doesn't work for the Euro 2020 chuckle tour, but in future just let the country hosting the full tournament host the Nations League Finals in the summer, then the playoffs in March. They do it to decent success with the Confederations Cup anyway. It would also avoid the farce of everyone scrambling for travel to a place for the final they may or may not be involved in. If everyone's in the city anyway, it's just a choice of staying or not.

    FIFA 20

Yup. It seems like EA are quite brave in the lead up to release, putting in real changes into how the game plays. Then the more unbalanced elements of the community bitch and moan about it, and EA shit themselves and put it back to normal. Haven't had a chance to touch the demo yet. To be honest though, not sure I'm that bothered to. I've preordered the game, so that won't change, and not sure how much you can really learn from playing short games against the AI.
  9. You'd think, but recent insipid displays at home suggest we can't even rely on that. It's certainly something to aim for though. If we get a decent draw in that semi, and a decent kick-off time, Hampden should be absolutely bouncing leading into that game. Get through that, and 90 minutes at home with a place in a tournament at stake, that should surely be the boost the players need. EDIT: Looking at the articles posted already, UEFA seem to have picked a day for the semi finals. A Thursday. A fucking Thursday.
  10. Well, you've clearly never played the game.
  11. At least you didn't miss tearful cliches class with the previous past. The "but we pay their wages" stuff is an A+ by the way.
  12. If those Champions of Luxembourg progressed far enough to play real quality like Griffiths has, then yes. Before this season, Griffiths had simply had more opportunity to test himself at a higher level than McBurnie as he played. This season, McBurnie will test himself more often against that higher quality. So, you know, like I said way back before you started to do the raging shite troll shtick, until this season, Griffiths had had more opportunities to test himself at a higher level than McBurnie had. That will change this season, and give him the opportunity to prove he's better than Griffiths. Which he likely will, given Griffiths is hardly a world-beater. I didn't think I'd have to explain something like that in such basic terms to a totally-real-honest-mate-I-am footballer.
  13. No, it would mean he's played in Europe. Which he hasn't. Leigh Griffiths has. Hope that helps.
  14. Well, if the Record said it it must be true.
  15. You couldn't be bothered to reply, so you waited, and then opened up your arse and sprayed that out? Aye, OK. Now I'm really not going to really go through all the "facts" in your post, given there are none. I stopped at you claiming Europe is incidental and irrelevant. To your point, maybe, for the purpose of facts? Lol. You're not even being a good troll anymore.
  16. Yes, that is 100% exactly what it means.
  17. To be honest, I have to agree. I was impressed with Caldwell in the January window, and I was interested to see what he could do with a full pre-season and window. He started out all right, but whatever has happened, whether that's behind the scenes or with him just not knowing who to get, it hasn't been great. But at this stage, do you punt him immediately and saddle a new manager with a squad he can only just not change, or do you give more time in the hope that it can't get any worse? For what it's worth, I think we'll probably nick an undeserved win in the league soon, then put in a heroic but ultimately pointless performance against Celtic with a late 1-0 defeat. But if we do punt him, then there's got to be a bit more than just appointing a new guy. That's two managers running now that have built a squad that, simply put, are a bunch of absolute shitebags. Caldwell and Archibald aren't exactly carbon copies of each other, so would we just be putting a moderately attractive head on a fucking ugly body again?
  18. Might look into getting that membership if he doesn't completely hate it. Anything that'll keep him out of the clutches of the other establishments in Glasgow. Cheers man!
  19. Wee bit of advice from those that have been in the same position. I've decided I want to ruin my own Son's life in a similar way to mine and take him along to Firhill on Saturday. He's only 2 and a half, so suspect I'll only last a wee while before he gets increasingly bored and need to leave. But I assume I'll have no problems (apart from size) just walking him through the turnstiles with my season ticket? I know U16s are free, but they're not going to get all jobsworth and need him to get a ticket or anything will they?
  20. End of the day, whether someone thinks he did say it, but it's not the end of the world, or thinks he should get chased, or thinks we need context, I'd trust the management team to make the right decision on whether he's committed enough to represent us. Maybe he goes out next Friday and scores a hat-trick, or maybe he puts in a performance that clearly shows he's not arsed. I expect Clarke has been in the game long enough to know the right decision to take.
  21. I don't particularly want to be in my job every single day, given the choice. However, that won't stop me performing that job to the best of my abilities when I am there, given that's what they pay me for. Hence the professionalism term I used. He could well put in half arsed performances that make it clear he can't be arsed. In that case, get him to f**k. Otherwise, let's not string him up for saying pretty much the same thing a lot of fans say about the national team.
  22. As I've always said, I don't really care if they fucking hate playing for us and would rather be on holidays, playing for England or whatever, as long as when they take to the pitch they perform professionally and to the best of their abilities. From what I've seen, McBurnie hasn't exactly set the world alight for us, but he certainly seems like he cares. Still, if that is the stuff he's saying, it's incredibly stupid, and isn't going to endear him to your average tonto Tartan Army "Foot Soldier".
  23. It's one of the funniest things they've done in a while. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that's what they intended.
  24. If we're going down the rose-tinted spectacles route, then quite obviously Stephen O'Donnell, who is an absolute fucking dreamboat.
