  1. Chairman to go first, presumably after Crownpoint is decided either way. He can't be involved with any new appointment. They should absolutely be getting the friend of the club to be sounding people out though.
  2. The difference in terms of what both sides have got from their full backs in this game has been staggering.
  3. I thought it was onside at the first. I thought the Dumbarton player had lost the ball at the penalty then just ran into Whyte. The big issue was not booking Malcolm for a blatant shirt pull to stop a Clyde attack. Then (rightly) booking King for similar, so the nasty men all shouted bad words at him. He's looked absolutely rattled since then. Again, Dumbarton thoroughly deserve a two goal margin.
  4. You've played us off the park. The referee's incredible meltdown has taken the attention of how bad 8/11ths of the Clyde team has been.
  5. You can't sell individual games so it has to be a longer term pass. No use for away fans obviously, just promotes finding an illegal version.
  6. I thought it was funny the officials wore a bright red kit. I'm sure our "home" top would have been fine.
  7. I thought yesterday was going to be a repeat of East Fife when he spent the whole game giving away daft fouls but he learned a lot in the first five minutes against Aitken. It's good to have two centre halves who win nearly everything in the air. Carswell does a decent job in front as well in that regard. I also thought yesterday once again proved that Rennie can't play as the main striker and is much better playing off someone. Young barely got a kick but kept Jamieson/Buchanan occupied enough that Rennie could drop in, take the ball down, and play. He had a really good second half. Only four players started yesterday that started against Stranraer a month ago; the new additions and fit players have helped massively. And still five potential starters missing as well.
  8. Teaching Whyte how to play in midfield at halftime was inspired stuff. Cracking performance from him, and others. Brilliant to build on last week.
  9. Very tough first half for Clyde, we have done well to still be in it. We certainly wouldn't have been a few weeks back. Stenny a good mix of physical attributes and flair. We look like a side with an inexperienced right back and a centre half playing in midfield. Probably good enough most other weeks but not today.
  10. I didn't think Elgin were any worse than Bonnyrigg, Forfar, Stranraer, Brechin. The difference was we had a bit more ability at the top end of the pitch to create chances. Even in the nervy period after Elgin's missed penalty we should have netted a couple on the counter attack. We are generally such a shambles that there's no point just winning a game; we really need to go on a run of decent results to restore a bit of positivity. A draw here would be a good outcome given Stenny's start.
  11. The Scottish Cup draw is tomorrow. I was quite fancying an away trip to St Andrews, until I realised that Owen Andrew plays for them and scored their winner today against Auchinleck.
  12. An away trip to St Andrews would be great. Fully expect to get the winner of the Broomhill/Cumbernauld game.
  13. That's why not having more experience is an issue. We were an absolute mess when Carswell and Hynes went off, Rennie as well to some extent. Sula and Dunachie were absolutely outstanding in the last 15. Young and King both good additions. Lyon definitely up to it in L2. What a relief.
  14. A striker who looks like a striker. Very impressed with Young so far.
  15. Only five players played in more games than Cuddihy last season. Only four players started more games than him. That said, I think he was rushed back too early at times given his hamstrings seemed to be the main issue. 21-22 he missed a lot of games but that was primarily to a bad ankle injury against Clydebank that he reinjured when he returned prematurely. A contact injury, not a muscle one. Even then, being involved in 27 of 42 games is hardly the sign of someone who is "injury prone".
  16. Injured all of pre season, I don't think he's ever recovered really. You can see that technically he's quite decent but he's just seemed completely off the pace.
  17. Apparently de Souza Eugenio is actually called Deivid Washington. I'm pretty sure a Chelsea fan wouldn't have a clue who five or six of them are.
  18. Referees never bother me really, particularly newer ones. What does irritate is the ones that have been around for a while and are poor (Kirkland, Stuart, Grainger as examples). There's a huge body of evidence to suggest they'll never be up to it.
  19. A very ugly second half. Never a good sign when tactical changes and subs make you noticeably worse.
  20. Mistake by Dunachie for the goal, great finish but not convinced the goalkeeper should be beaten from that angle either. East Fife could have had a penalty but other than that we've had four great chances to score a goal. Should be level at worst.
  21. Advertised as a right back which didn't help, he's basically only played in midfield. Didn't do much in L1 but been good in his two L1 starts.
  22. There have been other class loan signings like Kris Doolan and Scott Tiffoney who contributed nothing despite being good everywhere else. This does seem like the profile of player who will make a difference though. We've desperately needed someone to link midfield to attack and if he can beat a player, even better. He'll definitely not be scoring a free kick for Clyde though.
