  1. On a side note, this got delivered today. Dogs in the background so suitable for this thread. VID-20201103-WA0001.mp4
  2. First hillwalk for Otis this Sunday, heading up Dumyat. Should be some laugh.
  3. I had a rule in my flat that the next morning after the Arches you could only open the blinds if this was playing..... I miss those days
  4. I refer you to my comment further down the page.
  5. ELO, no thanks. However the OP has made me go back and listen to Pavement and Neutral Milk Hotel for the first time in ages so have a greenie.
  6. I had a wee look into this earlier in the year. I spoke with my dad's mate who is an IFA, he said a mortgage company will only provide a mortgage on the build, not the land. Also it is hideously expensive with higher rates/charges etc. I'm at least 10 years from being able to realistically consider doing this. Going to keep it simple and probably just go with Scotframe or Stewart Milne.
  7. Managed to get lost in Rothiemurchus Forest today. Took the dog a walk to the area to the south of Coylumbridge Hotel and followed what I thought was a track going into the woods which I assumed would link up with a track I'd seen earlier. Big mistake, as the track gradually disappeared leaving us completely disoriented, only had a compass app on my phone which wouldn't calibrate. Tried to retrace our steps which didn't go well. After about an hour we started getting seriously worried and the wife was giving me deserved verbals. We had about an hour of daylight left and I was just about to phone 999 when I saw a runner in a bright pink jacket in the distance. Incredible feeling of relief when we reached the path. Lessons learned from today. Feel like a total tit and that last 10 minutes felt fkn horrible.
  8. Three that spring to mind The Fall - Singer's deid Beastie Boys - Rapper's deid Campag Velocet - Singer's retired and, er, makes belts.
  9. That's the first time I've been there, cracking venue, but more importantly, cheap drink.
  10. Saw them at the Bongo Club last year. One of the best gigs I've ever been to. Spoke with them briefly afterwards, both sound as f**k. Sandmans a great big guy.
  11. His solo career has been a very mixed bag. Overall I'd say each album averages a couple of very good tracks surrounded by fillers and tripe. I could make a cracking mix tape if I could be bothered. FEAR, My Star, Corpses, Marathon Man, Sister Rose, all excellent. Unfortunately I think I'm done with him now with all this conspiracy pish and kinda glad the Roses re-imploded before he turned them into an embarrassment - if All For One didn't manage that already.
  12. I'm gonna start off by saying The Stone Roses are my favourite band and have been for the last 22 years. I idolised them as a teenager and the debut album is, in my opinion, the greatest album of all time. Today I heard Ian Brown's new song. It is quite possibly the worst song I have ever heard. Fucking atrocious doesn't even come close.
  13. Came here to post this and saw this ^^^ at the top of the page. Edan is a genius.
  14. Will be at this too, their gig at the barras, 2003 i think, was one of the best gigs I've ever been to. Incredible live and Robs dance moves (and hair) were a spectacle.
  15. Watching Everest last night, there's a bit where the guide tells the group that the summit is at the cruising altitude of a 747. The wife "how come they don't crash into it?"
  16. Apparently Tom Hanks has been executed in his Greek bolthole (no extradition agreement with the US you see) by some anti- paedophile/cannibal/pizza group. Should be a fairly easy one to debunk.
  17. We try to get up to kilvrecht on the south of loch rannoch at least once a year. Last i heard its still closed. Great campsite with some cracking wee walks and hidden gems in the forest
