Well that's that gubbed. I can remember when we were the last unbeaten team in UK and Grandstand cameras (I think) came to Stark's to make a feature. We got beat that day, by Clydebank, I think. It was a very long time ago.
Tx is gonna be beside himself if, as I suspect, we see game time tonight for some of the younger lads. Couple of half time subs and a bit of squad rotation and he'll thrash himself into a foam.
That game is why I wasn't bothered about letting Ugwu go in the summer. Easily dealt with, even with his petulant fouling. Lithgow at the back. Like neolithic man.
Did the same at the Rover.....oh, no, sorry, my mistake. Shit the bed, fell out with everyone, couldnt be arsed and displayed Peter Grant levels of delusion and arrogance as we crashed out of the league. Out of touch dinosaur.
So average in general that we played more than half the game against the clear league leaders with 10 men, took the lead and could / should have won it at the last. Sit doon.
They'll surely be back for the derby though? By all accounts a much improved performance against Killie and you didn't play badly against us last time. Or are spirits, happy clappers aside, really that low?
I didn't mean there was any subterfuge or anything untoward. More that we pre-signed a noted goalscorer, albeit not in top form at time of signing, and after failing to get fit enough to play in our league, now looks to be doing the same in a lower one. JMcG has proven he knows a player when he sees one, so I'm just wondering where it all went wrong with this one.
That's not good, is it? If he's a ghost at that level he's pretty much done. The whole signing is a strange tale, and one we'll probably never get to the bottom of.
