  1. I wouldn’t get too excited about beating an East Fife second 11 at home most teams have beat our first 11 at home, with only Clyde failing in that department.
  2. That’s the bit that annoys me same as last week up at Montrose we didn’t come close to matching the hunger and desire shown by the opposition.. Something seriously wrong with our away form we are absolutely pathetic on the road. That’s about 6 or 7 games on the road we haver never been at the racing. Only saving grace is the fans haven’t wasted their time travelling to watch such garbage
  3. All to predictable I’m afraid fold like a pack of cards at the business end of every season. Darren has had the full financial backing of the board but there is no improvement . We have been in this movie before you would think lessons would be learned but it’s going to be the same what might have been.
  4. Penalty decision looks ridiculously harsh arms down by his side when ball hits Dunlop’s hand. Ref has saved us a trip to Motherwell. Think Arbroath will fancy their chances of finishing above Morton. Arbroath certainly nothing to fear from that Morton team. See you next season guys.
  5. Airdrie. 1. Falkirk. 1 Clyde. 0. Cove. 1 Dumbarton. 0. Montrose. 2 East Fife. 0. Patrick. 0 Forfar. 1 Peterhead. 1
  6. Greig Spence in on loan fro Stennie someone Darren will know from his Alloa days. Not sure if he’s been playing at Stennie.
  7. In the 18 game season we have played the top three teams twice. We have Clyde , Patrick, and Peterhead at home. We have away day trips to Airdrie , Forfar and Dumbarton. On paper all games that we have every chance in. Last night was so predictable Montrose have had our number for a while. We have had some alarming performances on the road this season and you knew that Montrose would punish us if we produced another heartless and lack lustre performance. I think Thursday will be a turning point 3 points puts us joint 4th. A loss and I’m afraid it’s going to be another season of if only and what ifs. We’ll see if Darren has what it takes to get the best out the squad to take us to play offs. Can we go on a good run at the business end of the season.Last few seasons we have folded like a pack of cards at the crucial time. Let’s hope Darren and the players can be motivated by our failures in the last few seasons. Time will tell if the management team and players have learned any lessons from our previous failures.
  8. Cove. 1. Airdrie. 1 Falkirk. 2. Dumbarton. 0 Montrose. 1. East. Fife. 0 Partick 3. Forfar. 1 Peterhead. 2. Clyde. 1.
  9. Airdrie. 0. Plastic Whistle. 1 Dumbarton. 1. Peterhead. 1 East Fife. 4. Cove Rangers. 2 Forfar. 0. Falkirk. 3 Montrose. 3. Clyde. 1.
  10. Falkirk. 2. Montrose. 1 clyde. 1. East Fife. 2 Dumbarton. 1. Forfar. 0 Plastic Whistle. 2. Cove. 2 Peterhead. 0. Airdrie. 1.
  11. The lunatics have left the asylum this could only be a plan in Scottish football. Think most fans have totally lost interest and couldn’t give a hoot about season 20/21.
  12. You actually couldn’t make that up how are these people still being allowed to run our game. There has to be monumental change in the governance in Scottish football or I’m afraid these clowns will kill our game.
  13. Think your forgetting about Arbroath and Alloa every player involved with these clubs will have a day job, so there is a great chance they could be super spreaders outside their football bubble. Yes I take they will get tested but I think it’s 6 and two 3s in terms of public risk.
  14. Bad week coming up for East Fife two defeats on the same day. I know our away form is brutal but I don’t think we could even manage that.
  15. Hard to know if Darren had any information that Hamilton would be heading back to Livingston. I would suspect not as I doubt if he would have sent Collins out on loan. That’s the problem of using the loan market you do not have any control of the situation. Good luck to the lad certainly heading back to a team in fine form. Difficult to see us replacing him with the same quality. Should be some wages in the pot with Bell , Collins and Hamilton all moving out this window. Leaves the squad a bit thin , so there will surely need to be some players in coming.
  16. That’s the problem when you have players on loan all your best laid plans can go up in the air when you have no say if parent club recalls. We would pretty much be in the same boat if Livingstone ask for big Jack Hamilton to return.
  17. Make that one injured and one recalled to Queen’s Park Rangers.
  18. Must be odds on your goalkeeper will be heading back to Hibernian. Saying they have a goalkeeping crisis with 2 now out injured .
  19. Dumbarton 1. Airdrie. 2 Cove. 1. Peterhead. 1 East Fife. 2. Falkirk. 2 Montrose. 4. Forfar. 0 Partick. 3. Clyde. 1.
  20. Just one season. We got off to a good start by winning our first two games but then we appointed undercover Bankie Jim Fallon as manager and won five whole points in the remaining 34 games. We got relegated again the following season and followed that up by finishing bottom of the third. All sounds like a very modern day Brechin City.
  21. After some research Dumbarton beat East Fife 4 times that season so Murdo McLeod must have well and truly had Steve Archibald’s number. East Fife just escaped relegation and finished 3rd bottom. Just out of interest how long did your venture into tier 2 last when you got promoted that year.
  22. Clyde 1. Airdrie. 2 Dumbarton. 1. East Fife 1 Falkirk. 2. Patrick Thistle. 2 Forfar. 0. Cove Rangers. 2.
  23. The great Stevie Archibald was East Fife manager for this game. Think I’m right in saying it could have been his first season and we lost more games than we won. However the following season he took the Fife to the promised land of the 2nd tier.
  24. Gary Naysmith seems interested in getting back into management certainly did very well at East Fife. Think Forfar will need to make a change sooner rather than later. With 18 games to go and a transfer window a new manager would have half a chance. On that showing in Methil yesterday you’ll be cut adrift very soon if something doesn’t change.
  25. That was really very comfortable and really should have been much more convincing. Forfar on that showing are in big, big trouble and 10th place looks odds on. Liam Watt and Chris Higgins were top performers today. Now what chances of a performance on a grass pitch next week.
