  1. Didn’t see the game today but I’m not ready to panic yet. The computer could hardly have given us a harder start to the season, with cove away, Falkirk away, and Partick away in our first 5 games. Dumbarton game at home next week certainly has the feeling of a must win if only to get some confidence. Dumbartons win today is a reminder that it will be another very tough game.
  2. Clyde. 2. Peterhead. 0 Cove. 3. Partick. 1 Dumbarton. 1. Airdrieonians. 1 Falkirk. 2. East Fife. 0 Forfar. 1. Montrose. 1.
  3. Top praise to the volunteers involved in the streaming. Personally it really is a poor substitute for the match day experience. I don’t think you’ll need Carol Vordermans mathematical brain to see that all the players wages and overheads involved in running a football club these figures just don’t add up. With no prospect of crowds returning any time soon it is going to be incredibly tough for football clubs to stay financially afloat.
  4. Any details on how many punters outside season ticket holders paid for streaming of Montrose game.
  5. On our day we have the ability to take something from the game. However I’m afraid we just keep losing far too many cheap goals. As said before that’s 3 penalties against us in last 3 games. So to get anything from the game we need a 100% improvement defensively. Hopefully Dunsmore , Dunlop and Ryan Wallace will be back on Saturday. I hope we go to have a go and don’t try and sit in. There’s not much chance of keeping a clean sheet so we’ll have to come out at some point in the game, so let’s have a go from the start. If we can stop shooting ourself in the foot and defend properly there is no reason why we can’t take something from the game.
  6. Dumbarton. 1. Clyde. 2. East Fife 1. Montrose. 1 Falkirk. 2. Forfar. 0 Patrick. 1. Airdrieonians 1 Peterhead. 0. Cove Rangers. 2.
  7. First thing we’ll have to do is stop beating ourselves the last two games against Raith and Cove we have beat ourselves with crazy individual errors and bad decision making. Montrose have had the beating of us at Bayview in recent times. You know Montrose will be in your face and not give you any time on the ball. Well need to be up for the battle or it could end in tears. Will be a very tough game and can only hope we take something from the game. Changes will have to be made due to suspensions. Time for a couple of the fringe players to step up and grab their chance.
  8. In all honesty if that was Gavin Ross with the whistle yesterday he is as bad a referee as you should see all season. I cringe every time I see he is taking charge of an East Fife game.
  9. Airdrie. 1. Peterhead. 0 Clyde. 1. Partick. 1 Cove 0. East Fife. 1 Forfar. 3. Dumbarton. 1 Montrose. 2. Falkirk. 1
  10. Embarrassing a man that size falling down when breathed on.
  11. Karma for the penalty Raith got on Saturday what goes around comes around .
  12. Here’s hoping the season goes the distance. Let’s hope the mad season doesn’t arrive again and award promotions and relegations when the music stops. Being a 27 game season will make things a bit more unpredictable, with an unbalanced set of fixtures. 1. Partick Thistle 2. Falkirk 3. Cove Rangers 4 East Fife 5 Montrose 6 Airdrie 7 Clyde 8 Forfar 9 peterhead 10 Dumbarton
  13. I know players are still trying to get up to speed but we really did gift that game to Raith yesterday. 2 crazy moments of simple defending. Why the missed flying overhead kick when all that was needed was a simple head to safety. As for the penalty the minute you lift your hand you give the ref a decision to make the boy was going no where. Raith were there for the taking and without gifting them that penalty they looked way short of a cutting edge to trouble us. All the players put in a shift and just dissapointing to be the architect of your own downfall. Cove Rangers getting glowing reviews for their performance against Hibs yesterday, looks like a tough opening game on Saturday.
  14. Big decisions went against us just wish the manager could have played the experimental line up on Tuesday against Cowden and played our strongest team today. Good game time for the fringe players.
  15. Saturdays game in Lino land being priced at £9.99 . Probably be a decent uptake by East Fife fans, as said already money gets split between the two clubs.
  16. Happy with the result as we don’t have a very good record against Cowdenbeath. Players still look rusty and it’s going to take a while to get back up to speed. Ryan Wallace best for the Fife , Cowdenbeath keeper pulled of some decent stops. All in all a decent run out and good game time for the team.
  17. East Fife tv streaming the game for £10 on Tuesday night . Will Cowdenbeath keep the Fife on their mantle piece.
  18. See Jim McInally slaughtering the double standards of Raith chairman in the press today I quote he is horrified Raith voted against reconstruction he says he can’t defend that , Raith should have shown some humility and said Falkirk deserved promotion as well with only one point in it. At least your chairman has been transparent how Raith would have voted , not hearing much from other clubs on how they intended to vote.
  19. Still think it was criminal that East Fife ripped up the best playing surface in Scottish football to replace it with plastic. Suppose it all comes down to money but a crying shame .
  20. Peterhead a cracking stadium with a good grass pitch friendly locals and a good social club.. Not a lover of Airdrieonians stadium and the plastic pitch not great. The last game I was at was station park East Fife have a good record there and I love the old fashioned surroundings but the ball takes some bounces of that plastic pitch.
  21. Another interesting insight into how the SPFL do business was the revelation that they held a gun to the head of highland league teams to agree to let Brechin City go into the lowland league if relegated . Telling them if they didn’t agree to this they would lose their place in the betfred cup. Appears that they will railroad through measures by any way they can. It’s clear there is monumental flaws in their governance, even if enough clubs don’t vote for an enquiry they have lost all faith of the general footballing public.
  22. Dundee’s power trip didn’t last very long. Did they honestly believe the likes of Hamilton, St mirren and St Johnstone would give up 4 old firm games a season that’s what allows them to stay afloat. No way were they going to vote to slice up the pie.
  23. Dutch health minister announces there will be no football fans allowed inside stadiums until a vaccine is found for coved 19. If this advice is replicated in Scotland could be lots of teams going into oblivion.
  24. Hard to see how the two bottom league teams can back Ann Budge as she has stated that the game would be better with half the teams in the Scottish league binned to history down the public park. Goes back to self interest she will need all these lower league teams that she wanted binned to history to back her, to keep Hearts in the top league. I hope all these chairman remember what she thinks of them.
