  1. Any club Chief Executive that doesn't have a plan B for Rangers not being in the SPL next season is not doing their job properly. As a Hibs fan we have had approximately 19 different kick off times over the season. Oh for a 3pm on a Saturday. I've no doubt that Celtic, your club will punt off a couple of the 20k a week brigade (Hooper to Southampton?) to balance the books but that's just basic financial management, something that obviously escaped Rangers over the last 20 years.
  2. Yup. I honestly don't give an arse about what happens to Rangers, I'm sure they won't disappear but they are getting their just desserts for now and that will last a few years. Celtic will also decline especially if we have the balls to tell any RFC Newco to start in Division 3. I do think that the Edinburgh clubs, Aberdeen and Dundee United will all be involved in big Semi-Final/Finals in both Cup Competitions in the years ahead and that is a good thing.
  3. And one look at the Scottish Cup semi final between Aberdeen and Hibs showed that there is life in Scottish Football outwith the Old Firm. Two well supported provincial clubs not from Glasgow took healthy supports to Hampden and served up a decent game with no bigotry or sectarianism nor puerile sixth form politics. If Rangers are f***ed then we get on with it, with or without TV contracts. I've no problem with going to see my team at 3pm on a Saturday.
  4. I don't believe they were. But chucking away a semi final stub if you are not a ST Holder/Club Member is madness. The clubs cannot wipe peoples backsides for them. There will be a small number of folk whe are not ST Holders/Club Members/Loyalty Points Holders who went to the semi and they deserve the right to be at the final more than someone attending their first game of the season.
  5. ST Holders, Club Members(Hibs), Loyalty Points Holders(Hearts) will be catered for by both clubs. And so should stub holders from the weekend. In both club's cases that still won't reach the full allocations. There will be a very small limited public sale but the people who could be bothered getting off their arses and going to the games at the weekend should not be denied tickets. If it's that important to Gloryhunters to attend then they can go buy a Hospitality experience for the day and pay £300 and upwards a pop.
  6. Rough estimates suggest 21k a side plus 8k held back for SFA/Sponsors etc. Any public sale will be small once ST Holders, Shareholders, Club Members and Semi Final stub holders are dealt with buying one ticket each. Talk from some of "Oh I'm coming up for this/flying in from ..." They're wasting their time. My attitude is if you were at the semi then you deserve to be at the final. Gloryhunters can piss off.
  7. I don't know any fan of Hibs or Hearts who wished they were the Old Firm. Brain removal isn't something we are big on in Edinburgh. Do you get it done in Glasgow with yer last all body vajazzle?
  8. At the risk of somewhat going against the grain, no I would not be finished with Scottish football, why would I be? Hibs are in my blood. I really don't care what Rangers do. I don't give a toss if they're in the league or not. Even if they do liquidate and come back, they'd still be Rangers to me, a team whose fans I find generally horrendous. My own club through Rod Petrie are against Rangers coming back immediately as a phoenix club into the SPL and I'm happy enough with that position. I'm more interested in seeing Hibs staying up after two of the most appalling seasons in memory than what for me has been a moderately interesting sideshow regarding Rangers.
  9. This. Which is unfortunate as I have enjoyed watching Rangers thrash about in Administration and wash their dirty laundry in public. However for humour watching Celtic fans spontaneously combust as they fall off their high horses spouting their faux moral outrage will be worth it, if only for shits and giggles.
  10. At week 28 in her pregnancy my wife developed gestational diabetes and had to watch everything and I do mean everything that she ate but we carried on ok until week 36 with no real incidents beyond noticing that the baby went nuts when she took drinks with caffeine in it. We knew the baby was a 'big' baby though and breathing became difficult the bigger my wife got. She was also constantly tired and in front of her pals who were mums managed to horrify them by saying ' I HATE BEING PREGNANT'. We went in for a check up at week 36 and my wife was told that the baby was sitting in the breach position. The Forth park doctors wanted to turn the baby. Checking up on this procedure my wife considered and then refused the procedure despite considerable pressure from the doctors who due to the size and position of the baby reluctantly booked her in for an elective C Section. We then had another appointment just before the birth where one doctor insisted that the baby had turned. The midwife told him he was talking shite and the 2 of them had a spectacular stand up row about this. Another scan later showed that the midwife was spot on. Strangely I found the whole C Section passed in an almost trance like state for me and then this wee person was plucked out of my wife and promptly peed all over her legs. Kirsty Eryn was born in Forth Park Kirkcaldy last month weighing in at a thumping 9lb and 4 oz..Baby was healthy but was taken up to Observation. The staff in the theatre were great but the senior nurse then marched in and gave my wife all of 2 minutes with her new baby. Wife was then wheeled up to recovery where she started to get some rest.I was promptly booted out of the hospital at 8pm and told to come back in the morning. Upon arriving the next morning I found my wife in a distressed state. She still had not been taken up to see her baby and no nurse had changed her pads, I found her in lying in a pool of blood as she was too sore to move . Her catheter was also at the point of bursting. The senior nurse who came on duty turned up and went apeshit at this. The nurses who had been on nightshift said 'Sorry it was a bad night'. Another much older woman who had been to one of the foreign IVF clinics had given birth to triplets and had taken up pretty much all the nurses time leaving my wife and another lady to pretty much fend for themselves as the 'call nurse' buttons were not working either. By 2 pm she still had not seen her baby and proceeded to go absolutely nuts. This did the trick and our daughter was brought down to my wife. What we found with Forth park was that many of the staff just did not talk to each other which resulted in much frustration for the families. 'You're getting out today' we were told 2 days afterwards so I made arrangements to get my girls home and this was then vetoed an hour later by another doctor who decided we weren't. An utter shambles. But my daughter is absolutely beautiful and a fabulous wee baby and my wife is an incredible mother. However I have been told that if we were to have another baby that my wife would prefer to give birth at the Burger King at the side of the M8 than head back to Forth Park so at the moment we have no plans for another child!
  11. Yes, sitting in the cheapseats for that. No Corporate for me that day!!

    You going too?

  12. The missus is 27 weeks pregnant. She's really starting to get much bigger now. She looks fantastic though and I keep telling her that The pregnancy has been pretty uneventful so far but in the last 2 weeks she's complained about backache, constipation and that she thinks she's got a cage fighter inside, oh and bursting into tears for no real reason. She's also said that she's never doing it again and that if a bloke at her work who fancies himself as some sort of expert starts telling her again what she needs to be doing and what supplements she needs to be taking she's gonna kick his brains out and blame it on the hormones. Next up is the 28 week antenatal appointment where they check her blood for anemia and them its 'Parenting Classes'. God help us.
