  1. My Celtic pal wanted him gone after Ferencvaros. He was never convinced a guy who got emptied by HIbs for chucking chairs at players and whose sole management trick is "throw the players under the bus, that'll get a reaction" was exactly what Celtic needed.
  2. Ah yes... complaining about a letter from a pro Indy chap who responded to a letter from Jill Stephenson, aka Historywoman on Twitter. The same individual who when she's not calling SNP MPs "sluts" is one of the nastiest pieces of work going on that platform. Though she has a way to go to reach the levels of objectionable offensiveness that Janela and AgentP have reached.
  3. On the bright side that further dilutes the fash vote with some of them cuddling up to Pussycat George's latest money making scheme and the others going with Farage's swivel eyed muppets.
  4. As a moderately centre left Social Democratic Party yes, they would. They'd probably be in power as Labour and Tories would be trying to find out where they actually fit in the Post Indy political landscape beyond being a hurt locker for ex British Unionists angry ay their fellow countrymen.
  5. Correct, Labour in its current form are done. The centre and left is occupied by the SNP. Post indy they may lose some Mhari Black types to a socialist grouping but I don't see them going to Labour. There's just way too much bad blood there.
  6. Should have just moved it to a midweek in February. Not as if Celtic will be worrying about European football then anyway.
  7. To be fair if DRoss came out with it, it should be ignored. We have had the Not Proven verdict in Scots Law for nearly 300 years and it serves a useful legal purpose.
  8. I certainly agree that nutters should be called out regardless. I had no time for Wings and his dreadful bigotry towards the gay community. Also a few of the more wild eyed Indy types found their way on to my Block list when I did Twitter. Same went for their mirror reflection Unionist types on Twitter such as AgentP and historywoman who now resemble wild eyed figures who have been out in the bush too long as they scream into their echo chamber to ever diminishing results. I am pro Independence, having made the journey from where you were Stormzy. But I'm not so blinded to it to think that Indy=good/Yoon=bad because that is the logic of an idiot that has left America in a hole for the last 5 years. We are all Scots and whatever happens we are going to have to get along with each other.
  9. More like the Party of Backhanders and Brown Envelopes. Influence and state assets always for sale. That's how it has always been with the Tories I my lifetime. However what grates is the handing out of state contracts and taxpayer money to shell companies set up for £100 that have no track record of producing anything other than cheques for the Tory Party. No due diligence, no competing tenders. That isn't business, it's industrial scale corruption.
  10. So true. However I'd add as a former Labour member and voter that the many in left of Scottish Labour also shares the pathological hatred of the SNP. I was friendly with a former Labour MSP who was every bit the Corbynite and her associates, one of whom was a councillor in Fife positively frothed at the mouth regarding the SNP. He was also determined to unmask the Labour for Indy types and have them ejected from the party. It became pathetic when he was constantly retweeting the UltraYoon mouth breathers on Twitter and then reacting angrily when it was suggested that seeing Labour Councillors doing dirty deals with the Tories (like in Aberdeen) to keep the SNP, who had more councillors than either party, out of power was not a good look in the eyes of the public. But that was like talking to a brick wall. They still don't get it.
  11. Its almost as bad as the Nippy patter. Grown fucking men using that. Jesus wept. The sort of thing I'd expect from those fools falling for Galloway's latest scam, Alliance for My Wallet.
  12. I'm no great fan of the Indy or nothing types and even less of the UltraYoons. I think it's even simpler than that. Sturgeon is generally consistent and offers strong leadership. Despite the hostility of the dying Scottish print media, she has a good tv profile and is generally quite likeable. She isn't a gambler nor is she arrogant and blustery like Salmond. Theres a lot of pretty average to poor SNP MSPs out there but theres a few really good ones like Kate Forbes who is sharp as they come. When you contrast what is in opposition to them both on the Tory and Labour benches at Holyrood and the clusterfuck pantomime that is Westminster then they've had a near free run at things. I don't see that changing any time soon. Ross is generally unimpressive from what I've seen. But he hasn't had the fawning media PR nonsense that gave Ruth Davidson a free pass from being shown up as the lazy MSP and shouty, principle free zone she is.
  13. No need, Vegemite is vile and we've already got Tim Hortons
  14. Ha. The welcome from Biden's team will be cooler than a penguin's arse. They'll get a hearing and that's about it. Forget the Special Relationship, that's done. You don't get away with cheap insults at Obama and then threatening to stamp all over the NI peace process for your cult Brexit and racist followers and think you're gonna get a trade deal from an Irish American President and a party whose Irish American senators have repeatedly sent out warning signals.
  15. And you'd be right. That discussion has been happening for some time. Bojo is apparently finding the job a nightmare and unable to function as remotely competent Prime Minister. He's not properly recovered from Covid and has no idea what to do about Brexit which he never really supported in the first place. Whether he will be around for the complete shitshow that will happen when the Uk crashes out of all it's European trade deals in 2021 is doubtful but theres little doubt he won't be there this time next year. His performances in the Commons have left many senior Tories worries as he gets rag-dolled by Starmer every week and cannot deal with the most basic of details. Gove is Murdoch's anointed one. Hancock and Raab are both useless, Patel and Sunak are both too brown for the Tory membership to follow plus all the racists who voted for them in 2019 won't wear that . Recent articles in the Sunday Times back Gove and suggest he'll be eased in along with his horrorshow of a wife. So that will be fun......
  16. Do you think there 's any chance of a 'Grand Coalition'? Or a 'Keep the Shinners out' Coalition?
  17. It sounds as if that deal may already have been verbally agreed by Gove and that the fishing rights will be one of the first things to be traded away. The only reason Norway isn't in the EU is fishing rights, which are far far more economically important to Norway than the UK, as the rural communities are against the CFP. But in other areas Norway converges with the EU regulations and does very well out of being in the EEA.
  18. It was a pack of lies.....shouldn't be especially shocked by that.
  19. I grew up in EH4. Stockbridge, Craigleith, Comely bank and Orchard Brae tended to favour Hibs slightly more than Hearts but not by much and the whole area was over run with Private School rugby types who viewed us football types with disdain and as ruffians.
  20. They'll squeeze out of it. Boyce and Naismith will see them OK. Accies will go down. Hearts may end up in the play off but I reckon they'll finish 10th.
  21. That FF thread really is quite something in terms of tinfoil hat loonballery. When one nutter got to the bit about it being an SNP and Opus Dei Conspiracy I need to go for a lie down.
  22. Draw was fair. 2nd hald was a bit of a washout after the shite defending that the 1st hald gave us. Ex Buddie Paul McGinn looks like he owns the right back spot now. In fact, him apart, Jack Ross really needs to be looking at getting new defenders in over the summer cos the old Cup Final boys are looking done sadly.
  23. Thought Hamilton were excellent in the first half and worked really hard. Hibs were dreadful. Good changes by Jack Ross though and a bit of dig from Hibs got us level and that was an excellent bit of play to win the game. Didnt care for the timewasting but still think Hamilton will be fine and finish 10th..
