  1. Despised? No. Pitied? Yes. Admit it, though, it's hard work being a New Rangers fan. I'm trying to keep up the pretence on the Herald website but even a creative genius like me struggles to hold to the corporate line at times.
  2. Is he, though? I've checked back and fb doesn't seem to have commented on the accounts. Deflected, perhaps, but no comments.
  3. What's misplaced about the apostrophe? 'The Thinking Man's Trevor McDonald' looks OK to me.
  4. To be fair, he had some valid points. Pity he didn't share them with us.
  5. With that level of sophistry you could be working at Central Quay, Kinky. Anyway, I've never in my puff worn a roll-neck.
  6. Even the baubles won in the EBT (and earlier) years? Do you feel entirely comfortable with those? I'd understand if you wanted to wait until after the Supreme Court's decision before you answered. I'll admit that Rangers played some bonnie football in those years but have you ever played Football Manager with a sugar daddy in place? It's a bit of a bore and you never feel that you've truly earned your trophies.
  7. By a couple of years at most. It's the solipsistic view of history and I'm all for it. Out of interest, why are you (or Rangers fans in general) so keen to claim titles that were won years before you were born?
  8. Good for MT. What do you think? I saw United win the league at Dens. I saw them beat Roma, Barcelona and Monchengladbach. I went to Gothenburg and applauded both sides at Tannadice in 87. Can't take those memories away from me. But what happened before that? Couldn't care less - doesn't 'define' me as it seems to define some ****.
  9. 1925 ante-dates me. Probably Kinky, too. United didn't do much before '25 and I wasn't around to see it anyway. What is this thing Rangers fans have about history going back 100 years or more? Does it give their own lives some kind of validity?
  10. Tax lawyer, specialising in helping high earners avoid paying tax, thinks HMRC are being nasty to his current and future clients. Allan Maxwell, further down that article, suggests a different viewpoint.
  11. Fair enough. At least you're honest. Deluded and in denial, but honest.
  12. Have you got even an amoeba's understanding of what happened in the Supreme Court over the last couple of days? Even an inkling of the possible repercussions for your clubs' treasured discontinuous history?
  13. I suspect even you know where the help is really needed. We diddies are just having fun - no help needed.
  14. Not sure I like the example they give. The Championship is embarrassing enough without the threat of division 2.
  15. I'd guess some retired strikers look for ways to compensate for the highs that come from scoring a goal. Nothing much left in their lives after football so they take to the booze to fill the void. NB my statistically valid sample comes from those two, Greaves and Best so it must be a FACT.
  16. I think there's a fair number of people who don't know when they're being spun to - and that extends much further than the Rangers fans that King is stringing along.
  17. Keep working at the English grammar and we'll make a Scotsman of you yet. Or a typist.
