  1. Cheers mate, I particularly liked when he tried out the Italian accent
  2. Alright lads, another podcast for you all if you haven’t seen it already. We interviewed Roddy McKenzie who was a fantastic guest, very interesting chat. https://talklivipodcast.libsyn.com/ We’ll have a further guest or guests later on this week to help preview a Sunday further and will post that episode in here as well.
  3. We spoke with Josh Mullin last week, interesting listen and top lad. https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/talk-livi/id1454431947#episodeGuid=b4d1a017-a42d-49e5-a4a6-00fd49a616b8
  4. Have to say credit to the St Mirren fans, players and manager who have shown a touch of class today. From the St Mirren fans congratulations, the players showing great respect at the end and to Jim Goodwin wishing good luck to both ourselves and St Johnstone in his post match which I’m sure must’ve been gut wrenching, a real touch of class and I wish you the best of luck for the rest of the season.
  5. I interviewed the communications officer of Shelbourne earlier to find out what we should expect from Jaze. Feel free to give it a listen https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/talk-livi/id1454431947#episodeGuid=197e815c-91d8-4ccb-a12e-4730e99cb9d5
  6. We appear to have signed a new defender called Nicky Devine according to Neil McCann
  7. Tbf got really lucky, Paddy power so far off the mark with the odds offered. At this stage John Ward had said we wanted him to take the job, DM had said he wanted the job, everywhere else offering him at 1/7 or lower but got him with PP at 4/6, crazy price so lumped the Max bet on.
  8. Unable to defend that, one of the worst of the Holt era, toothless up front, JET looks like another rubbish signing, 5 attempts to bring in a striker and all failed so far and defensively embarrassing at times. I still think we’ll be ok this season but more performances like that will change my mind, lethargic, slow, subs baffling. Just not good enough at all. Big few weeks ahead. Edit to add, Motherwell thoroughly professional, as comfortable a 90 minutes as they will likely get this season, will push Hibs and Aberdeen again despite the poor start.
  9. We are officially rubbish, up there with one of the worst performances since returning, spineless, JET well off it, defensively embarrassing, that wall is a joke. Motherwell barely had to get out of 2nd gear to be on easy street.
  10. Tough game this, no idea what to expect, all depends on what Livi turn up, we’ve been so inconsistent, very frustrating season so far. I think Tiffoney if fit will come back in, it wouldn’t surprise me if we go with Brown and Guthrie at the back as well. Going to go with another draw but who knows, Motherwell a major threat going forward against our stuttering defence. On Lamie, not surprised he’s struggling, was ok for us but nothing special, was surprised he got a move up the way tbh.
  11. Can’t defend that by McCrorie, and I’ve admittedly been a defender of him. Max will come in against Rangers and I suspect if he does well he’ll keep that spot. Impressed by Killie, controlled this game since going behind and deserve the win.
  12. Are we surprised Aitken has given that? What a fucking shambles of a decision. Killie bossing it since we took the lead but frustrating to be behind to that.
  13. Think you are very much in the minority here but it would be boring if we all agreed with everything. I don’t see Gary Holt changing anytime soon given we’ve just won 4 on the spin but you never know.
  14. Out with Hibs, Rangers and Celtic we have had more possession than the opposition this season in every other game. There has been a marked improvement with our ball retention this season and we are now looking far more threatening going forward than we have done in any of the two previous seasons in the top flight imo. The formation we are playing suits the squad, they are comfortable in it, with Holt and Bartley we have excellent players with experience that know when to go and when to sit in that holding midfield role, with the addition of Forrest and now Mullin we have a great threat down both flanks along with the attacking full backs we have. We are losing more goals because we are getting more men forward hence why we are scoring and looking far more threatening. Sibbald is excellent and has been praised this season and barring the injury he picked up would probably still be in the side but Holt has came in and also done well and has made the shirt his own, it’s a great problem to have.
  15. Rangers Celtic Aberdeen Hibs Livi Motherwell Kilmarnock Dundee Utd St Mirren St Johnstone Ross County Hamilton
  16. Utd couldn’t handle our hammer throwers of Scott Tiffoney, Allan Forrest, Scott Robinson, Scott Pittman and Jason Holt last night
  17. Anything other than a Livi win would’ve been a travesty, a very solid performance from us tonight and finally got the away result we deserved. Delighted.
  18. Typical Livi away performance, doing everything right, not taking our chances and losing the game. Standard and expected. Very frustrating, clear foul for us 2 seconds before the one given to Utd.
  19. I am not solely blaming McCrorie. It shouldn't have been a free kick in the first place. However, a better keeper would have saved that. Time to see what Stryjek can offer imo. Stop talking shite
  20. Off you pop back to the league 1 forum, struggling to raise a squad for friendlies now I see, it is still friendlies you’re playing just now eh?
  21. 12 teams with plastic pitches, no grass pitches allowed, they cause too many injuries and aren’t fit for the top flight in this country.
  22. Season ticket money won’t even touch the sides, 300k tops from season ticket money if we are lucky, another what was it 100k over the next 14 months from fan commitments? It’s a great effort but again not gonna do a huge amount when we are losing more than that each home game, prize money from last season already spent given it was in instalments, so a small proportion at the end of last season. Setting up the stadium for Covid testing has probably used a large proportion of money already, add into that player and staff wages, I think you’re underestimating the pressures the club is under financially, just like many other clubs. The Dykes money will absolutely help but that’s all it’s doing, every club relies on gate money, some will say but we have PPV, again a small proportion are paying for that compared to attending, no money at all from the Rangers game other than the tv money which we would’ve got anyway. As has been said above, we have already missed out on a substantial pay day from Rangers visiting, we have probably lost more than the 250k I mentioned now that we played again today. We will lose over a million if this season continues to go on with no fans, and maybe just under the million if we get fans in but socially distancing. It’s concerning but no more concerning than any other club just now thanks to that Dykes money.
  23. We’ve already lost Upwards of 250k in revenue this season because fans aren’t allowed into the ground, now imagine we go the whole season with no fans in which seems more likely than ever now, that’s over a million pound in lost revenue whilst still trying to remain competitive. I think it’s fair to say the Dykes money will keep us afloat but just afloat, Money is tight.
