  1. Just having a wee read of the DR and Ally saying that he had a list of players he wanted to bring in, and that he was unhappy that he didn't get them. Was this because they didn't want to sign for the club, or did Chuck say no?
  2. Seething? Aye right you are. But please feel free to point out anything I said which is wrong in that post. I'm sure he'll still be smiling when he recalls Anfield as he trots out against Forres Mechanics, and realises this is his life now for the next couple of years.
  3. Have players like Black, Sandaza and Templeton gone to SevCo to improve themselves as players and play against the best? No. Have they gone for the money? Yes. Anything wrong with that? Not at all. But at least tell us that and stop treating the fans like weans by saying, well you all know the pish by now. Will these players make it to the SPL with SevCo if league reconstruction doesn't happen? No chance. They will be sold to make way for better "quality" players before they reach the SPL. (Don't believe me? See Charles Green's previous at Sheffield. Get players in near the end of their contracts or on a free then sell a year or two later.) Anything wrong with that? Not at all. But at least tel..........ach you know the rest. Are SevCo the biggest story in Scottish football? By far. Are SevCo even a story in football in general? Who are SevCo??? Are SevCo a big tv draw? Yes, but only because everyone without blue-tinted glasses wants to see them lose. Is Green still worrying most SevCo fans? Very much so. Are the fans doing anything about it? Eh, no. All hoping that if they tap their glittery blue shoes together and say, "There's no place like home. There's no place like home.", then the shitstorm about to hit will go away. Did SevCo bring in the 4/5/6 "quality" players their manager said they needed? Just 1. Must have been some explanation on the official website as to why and how the club will deal with this? Funnily enough, no mention. Green and McCoist best buds now? Outwardly they are "singing off the same hymn sheet". But most suspect that Ally knows his days are numbered as soon as the fans start calling for a change. Green won't be slow in replacing him. (See Green's time at Sheffield.) Any sign of investors such as Mike Ashley on board yet? Any minute now, soon, on the horizon, almost a done deal, just a sec, two ticks, asap. Ahhhh SevCo. The club that just keeps giving. Sorry, I mean "taking".
  4. http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/1946-blog-sign-of-the-times Would bring tears to a glass eye.
  5. Positive for Scottish football? Pish That's the same as saying that Celtic getting squillions of pounds from the CL is good for Scottish football. Let's see how much of that money filters down to SevCo.
  6. You kidding???? He is going to be playing in the 3rd division. Do you seriously think that even registers a blip on football outside of Scotland? Hell no. Many people would be amazed we have more than one league. Templeton could bang in 30 goals this season and NO-ONE outside Scotland would notice. Even if they did, do you expect Liverpool or Blackburn to pick him up for his 30 goal haul? Nah. Why? Eh because he plays in a "diddy" league against "diddy" players. For years and years we have been told that the only way a player can improve is by playing against the best and learning from those around him. What is Templeton going to learn playing against lower league players on pitches that aren't maintained to the highest standard? He's signed a 4 year contract so that Green can sell him on in 2. Green doing exactly the same thing he did at Sheffield with the long contracts, then selling the players on a year or two down the line.
  7. They were offered him at a price of £500,000 in January. But let's face it, how many other players have had a good game against rangers, been bought by them and then find themselves looking for another club within a season or two? Rangers, and Celtic's philosophy for years was to buy the good players from the other SPL teams and thereby weaken those teams. As for the players themselves? Very few ever last at the OF for any length of time.
  8. http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/1942-a-bright-future I hope in a couple of years time when all these lads are moved on that someone directs Sally to his comments.
  9. Black and Templeton may play again in the SPL but it won't be with SevCo. The team they have may win the lower leagues, but SevCo won't go into the SPL only to make up the numbers for a few years before challenging for the title. They will try and get a team in that will win the league at the first go. Therefore the team going into the SPL will be an almost completely new team, with none of the guys they have just now in the team. The players that SevCo have bought from abroad are players that nobody else wanted, and Sandaza whilst a good player on his day, is a luxury player that a team that's going to have to dig in during the winter in the lower leagues can't afford to have in the team. Would Black and Templeton have been bought by SevCo if they were "still" in the SPL now? No chance. The same way that none of the young "stars" hovering around the first team just now would be anywhere near getting a game if they were in the SPL. The young lads must be gutted. I can only hope that Sally hasn't sold his soul to the devil here. Many of the young lads stayed because they were promised a chance in the first team, but then "quality" players started coming in and these lads were back down the pecking order again. With Sally wanting 5 or 6 more players these lads would have had as much of a sniff at first team action as they would have in the SPL. Sally also hinted to the young French player that SevCo will be in the SPL sooner rather than later, and from all accounts was at his "tell them what they want to hear" best last night trying to bring the Hearts lads in. He had better hope that Green can make good on all he has promised otherwise Sally will have nowhere to hide when the shit hits the fan and he's not been duped, but was a willing helper in the final downfall of the club.
  10. "We need to get bodies in and bodies in of quality" But wasn't Ally telling everyone that his young players were stars and that it was time for them to shine? Whilst only a couple of weeks later he was saying that the guys he had brought in were quality players that had played in the likes of Serie A, SPL, etc. Truth of the matter is that SevCo HAVE to get out of that league this season. Fans now seeing it isn't going to be as easy as they all imagined. Green will sack Ally as soon as he hears the fans calling for it.
  11. Was actually going to put a £5 on a 1-1 draw, but decided that SevCo would probably snatch it, so left it. Would have had mixed emotions if I had put money on and Berwick had that last minute goal allowed. lol
  12. Cribari voted in worst team of Serie A. St Johnstone fans said that Sandaza is lazy and useless when he can't be bothered. Sally officially worst rangers manager ever. His tactics were obviously the long ball from the start. Team was shite in the first half, and the commentators said he would give them a rollicking at half-time. The outcome? They got even worse in the 2nd half. Can see SevCo fans getting a xmas present of a new manager under their tree this year.
  13. Anyone have any idea why Berwick's goal was disallowed? League reconstruction THAT imperative?!?!?!?
  14. Whilst I wish it was as simple as a club only existing because of it's support, it isn't as clear cut as that. Your club would have went under for good if Green hadn't come in, despite having a huge support. The money alone from the fans this season would not keep the club afloat. Or any club for that matter. Do you think clubs like Chelsea and Man City keep going only because of their fans support? Nope. I really wish we all had control of our own clubs and that WE kept the clubs going, but the truth of the matter is the suits have the power, even if we the fans are the one constant. If Green packed his bags tomorrow, took his profit, and walked away from the club leaving the fans the keys, what do you think would happen? That the club would go from strength to strength because the fans are running the club? There would be no club within months. This is the same for any club in senior football. Serious question time. If Murray hadn't bought the club 20 years ago, what do you think would have happened to the club?
  15. Seems a popular thing to do down Ibrox way. But you are right, if the players feel they have been conned they can always move on. Not so easy for the fans and their wallets if it all "turns out to be a lot of crap." Would you still consider it to be "smart thinking" by Green?
  16. It's about time they were truthful with someone. Everyone has known or at least suspected that reconstruction was on the cards, DESPITE Ally and Green saying that they would make their way through the leagues over the coming years. They've known all along that working their way from the 3rd, to the 2nd, to the 1st, then the SPL was probably not going to happen, but still they made believe that was going to be the case. Hey, I don't have a problem with league reconstruction, but I do have a problem that it is only coming about because of what has happened in the past few months. A good thing, but done for the wrong reasons. However, all this will do is question what sort of deal was cut between the SFA/SPL and SevCo that Ally is confident enough to tell a player that he expects to be playing in the SPL in 2 years instead of 3. As for Ally being truthful, well only last week he is saying that he doesn't want league construction to happen because of the rangers situation, all the while he knows that's exactly what will happen. Will be interesting to see what happens with this reconstruction if SevCo do go to the wall finally before it takes place. Would it still happen? My feeling is that everyone is waiting to see what will happen this season to SevCo. If come xmas it looks like they will continue, and that they will win the league, then reconstruction will happen. If however they are a busted flush then you'll see reconstruction go down quicker than Ted McMinn.
  17. Here's hoping they look at what Ally said and decide to agree with his wishes and not reconstruct the leagues. Ally is only wanting it to happen because he has heard a rumour that Firhill may have Greggs doing the catering from next season.
  18. Sebastien Faure: Ally told me Rangers could be back in SPL in two years http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/sebastien-faure-reveals-reason-for-signing-1280270 Ally you bad boy. Weren't you saying the other day that you didn't want the SFA/SPL to use the rangers situation to bring through league reconstruction?
  19. OldCo and SevCo have for a number of years been like those muppets you see on Reporting Scotland. You know the ones. They are sitting in their (normally OF) shirt with a fag in hand, telling the reporter that they "Dinae know whit tae dae, coz a cannae afford the lecky or gas cerd, and the weans are needed trainers for school. The government are tae blame coz ma dole money just disnae stretch anymare." Sounds so sad Until you look behind him/her and see "the weans" playing an xbox on a big, f**k off television, whilst the other half is either texting her pals on the new iphone/ipad, or he's trying to get the remote aff the weans coz Chelski v Man Utd is on Sky Sports HD in 5 minutes and the pizza delivery guy will be there any second. You give these people a £1000 and what will they do? Pay off some credit card debt? Nope. Fill the fridge with healthy food? Nah. Put more than a fiver on the leccy/gas card? Hell no. They'll blow every penny on luxuries and then blame everyone else when it's all gone. Sounds familiar..............
  20. Ally McCoist - Worst long term manager in OldCo history. Walter Smith - Worst long term manager in Everton history. John Greig? Interesting quote from wikipedia - "Greig – under intense pressure from the Scottish media, Rangers supporters and the club's directors – resigned in October 1983" How many league titles did he win in those 5 years? None. Great player, shit manager. And for the record Greig only quit the rangers board under Whyte because Whyte wasn't keeping him in the loop. He may have said he thought Whyte was dodgy before CW took over, but he didn't quit the board because he thought he was dodgy. In fact it took him months to figure out that he had no say in the running of the club and only being kept on because of "legend" status. Even Chic Young has said that "he was the worst media officer for the club, ever." Rangers Legends? Maybe. Rangers best option for the future? Highly doubtful.
  21. Leggo is sooooo funny. "One of the many things Walter Smith most assuredly is, is a very good judge of men. He is a shrewd judge of character." Yeah, coz he was forever telling us how Sir Dave was screwing up the club. "Therefore, if Charles Green can convince Walter Smith his intentions are honourable towards the club Smith grew up supporting, became assistant manager off, before taking over to steer Rangers to nine-in-a-row, returned to for a second time around of three-in-a-row and a European final, then the chief executive will have won over all the doubters." But would he have managed all that without the dodgy dealings? What about Sally? "Charles Green will have to reveal more to Walter Smith than he has so far been willing to, to others, about the beneficial owners of Rangers. That is the men – or even just man – whose name is protected by Blue Pitch Holdings. Were Smith to be satisfied as to the character and probity of the beneficial owner or owners, I believe he could be tempted to return for a third stint at the club." I didn't realise that Walter had a degree in business studies or economics??? He hasn't? Really? You sure? But if Green tells Walter his plans and Walter agrees they are the way forward, and tells the fans they can trust Green, then surely Walter MUST have an understanding of the financial side of running a business. What, he just has to get the fans on-side and hope he isn't "duped"? Sounds like a big leap of faith to me. Why just tell Walter who it is? Why not tell everyone? "Green could go even further. For if he manages to convince Walter Smith to return to Ibrox and take his rightful and fully earned place at the Boardroom table, then the time would be ripe to also invite that great Rangers legend, John Greig, to join him there. With Walter Smith and John Greig as directors, the Ibrox board would start to look like a Rangers board of directors again. Rangers would start to look like Rangers again." Remind me again how things ended the last time with a board that looked like a board of rangers directors? Oh aye, administration. Again going with the "wan o' us" mentality. This is the 21st century, get a grip!!! Even Augusta is letting in women. Oh and don't tell anyone, but I've heard rumours that America has a BLACK president!!! Classic American-style politics at play here. Our policies and statements aren't convincing anyone, so we'll bring in actors, sportsmen, actors and actresses that the people like to convince them we are trustworthy. Remember the Britney Spears interview when she was asked what she thought about the war in Iraq? "Honestly, I think we should just trust our president in every decision he makes and should just support that, you know, and be faithful in what happens." Wonder if she still thinks that? Will Walter and John Greig nail their colours to Green's mast (ooer missus)? Well they've already been fooled before by people they have "trusted". Even Ally is getting in on the act by saying he trusts Green. But then again Ally did say last year that he was "100% sure" of Whyte's backing. I think you will find that everybody from OldCo will be keeping their heads down at the moment until the EBTs hit the fan. Don't know about you, but if I was a SevCo supporter and Walter came out and said that Green was a stand-up guy and should be backed by the fans cash, then gets a seat on the board as Chairman or a director, I would be more than a little suspicious. As I've said before, maybe this is a rangers thing. I can't for the life of me imagine a dodgy owner buying Partick Thistle, me not trusting them, Chic Charnley or John Lambie to come along and say that these new guys are trustworthy, and me nodding my head in agreement like a Churchill dog, just because two legends of the club say so. If this does happen and the SevCo fans fall for it, then hell mend them.
