Potter done it long before any of them and Naismith is a Potter disciple.
Add Jim Jeffries, Walter Smith, David Moyes, Roberto Martinez, Alex Neil, Daniel Farke.
A fine list of teachers and now he has to pass what he has been taught on to his pupils.

I was less than enamoured with our shit start to the season. I was probably a bit too hasty though. Some pretty positive performances and results recently.
Yep, but there was also the AGM recently where the club got a hard time for hiring Naismith from queues of grey haired old men. To be fair, a lot of fans have put in a lot of money and they want to see that the money is being well spent.

6 wins in the last 8 or something and still on trial?
Football fans (and not just hearts fans) are mental sometimes.................
We've had what feels like 10 years of garbage. It's not his weight to carry but that's the way it goes. Fans getting fed up with it all.

I wont see any of the coverage as I will be at the game anyway.
Montgomery did this in the A League, and Hibs also had the bench mic'd up in pre season - it was really interesting to see a management team interact with the players / discuss tactics.
The Hibs bench came across really well in that experiment, but I can understand why Naismith wouldnt want anyone seeing him operate.
Whether you agree with this as a concept or not, its not the big deal that some might have you think.
On the game itself, Hearts are in a good vein of form, the Massive Heid is scoring for fun and their fans will be confident.
Good.
I was thinking about this yesterday. We have went to Easter Rd over-confident before and it hasn't worked out as expected.
I think it is different this time as half the support still haven't taken to Naismith so he is still on trial, some fans just don't trust him so there will be a certain amount of confidence but not as before.

Halkett is a bit of a worry for me due to his lack of sharpness and pace - too soon for him and McKay to be starting games, imo - hope I'm wrong - I usually am.
Score draw - one-all.
I agree, it can take a while for players to find their match sharpness and they have a settled side.
I like the attitude of Oda but he's a bit like a headless chicken.

This is deep SPFL lore.... I had no idea
Hearts fan ref making sure Hibs get plenty rest and no injuries before the derby game.
He’s not doing it right.

If was brave, a lot more than the subs when leading at Ibrox. I'm actually hopeful that's a good sign that Naismith can learn from his mistakes.
I disagree with you on this, the blame for the defeat at Ibrox lies with Haring.

I'd play Mckay, it could be more of a 3-4-2-1.
Or 343 with one of vargas/Tagawa/Oda starting for a bit pace.
We will see. If McKay is ready to start then put him on. It'll be interesting to see how he goes into this game.
The surprise move for me in the last game at Celtic Park was when Naismith took off Denholm & Forrest for McKay & Vargas. I thought it was brave.

Boyce and Grant out tomorrow and likely the Derby. Shame, Boyce would've been a good option at least form the bench and Grant was excellent against Celtic. Boy can't seem to get a decent run of games for one reason or another.
We might have to play Lowry then.

If we don't have a manager, yes. See last January, deadline day, for example.
We're very modern and continental.
You can't give Robson all the blame when it is not his team.

Hopefully we're in a position to continue recruitment without a manager if needed. Sure the club said that we'd done all our homework for the window already, unless i misunderstood.
I don't think the board will want to make a change anyway. Reflects badly on them and gives them the headache of another prawcess.
I really want Barry to be good but if he has potential to learn and improve he's keeping it under wraps.
Does your club employ players without asking the manager his opinion?

We got Christie playing in centre midfield for Bournemouth as well. Our players are being played in different positions for their clubs and we are going to be playing total football like Holland from the Cruyff era at this rate.

My nephew must be similar to your son, he had some funny eating habits, still has. I would watch the strange things sometimes if we were all eating together and wonder what he was doing but what I didn't know was that he was also watching me and then one day he asked me if there was anything I would not eat. It was the way he said it, like he was confused. It was funny, he is funny.
He is 18 now and he is starting to try different stuff a little at a time. Before, for an example, if he wanted chicken it had to be cooked and left on a plate on its own and it was his chicken and that was that or he would not touch it.
Doesn't matter, it's only food. I am happy with the way he is. He is a good guy.

I was placed next to a woman at our Christmas meal last week who ‘didn’t like’ any of the starters, and who only ate the roast potatoes from the main course. She basically just had dessert for her dinner. Fussy eaters are genuinely up there with nonces for me as some of the worst people in society.
Fussy eaters are brilliant, you get their left-overs.

Ferguson captains Bologna to 2-0 win against Roma, Bologna now 4th. He set up the second goal as well.

It's an unfortunate choice of words then as the derogatory term for a Roman Catholic "tarrier" oft used by fans of The Rangers is derived from the same antiquated word. It was used in the context of them allegedly being lay abouts.
Apologies if you genuinely didn't realise that.
I've heard the word before but I thought it was something about laying roads (tar).
