  1. Sounds like you had a bad experience too. Charlatans. Never even tried to sell me a new European only policy at a price that i had told them I can see it online for. They just could not be bothered. Must be told to not deviate from the script. At least it is confirmed Germany is a goer, no tickets but have to get my German trains sorted. If I see you in Germany Welshbairn I will buy you a drink.
  2. Just got an email regarding my claim. Post Office are asking for something from doctor in Poland that shows what I was treated for and the itinerary for my flight to Peru showing cost/breakdown such as tax etc. Ignoring the fact they specifically confirmed yesterday I had sent exactly that last week and did not have to send anything more! They also want to speak to me. They could also have dine that when I phoned the twice but so many depts. Left hand does not know what right hand is doing. You are right about what they did with postmasters. If the government had not been involved in the cover-up and it had been a small local company they would have had jail time long ago!
  3. Holiday insurance. I had a worldwide policy with Post Office which runs out in August, think it cost me around £100. I had a stroke on 31st Dec in Poland. Post Office new all this coz I informed them and their medical team eventually had to repatriate me. So, I called them yesterday to see if my policy had changed as I wanted to go to Portugal in April/May. Woman told me that my change of policy (as apparently I was officially informing them I had had a stroke) would cost me an extra £738 until August. They said I can leave it but I would not be insured for anything that could be stroke related. They also said that I could claim my Germany trip with my mate for the Euros, (which I had booked before my stroke and I will be well enough to go. It would have left my mate in the lurch if I cancelled). Or I could cancel my policy and I would get the money balance of a refund on my unused policy until August. So I did a bit of shopping around and could get a Europe only policy for a year with Admiral (with my stroke/health issues noted) for £120-£170 depending on policy. So I called them back asking if they changed my policy to Europe only from now until August how much, if anything would it cost. The guy said, not only were they unable to change my policy, if I closed my policy (and took the remaining money) it would also close my claim for my expenses I was claiming for (in Poland, about £200 for meds, £3000 for medical treatment and over £500 I had shelled out for my trip to Peru that i purchased 5 days before my stoke). He said my policy must remain open for any claim you have submitted to remain live. If he had not told me I would have no idea. The woman had said nothing earlier. I just hope my claim is settled before August. They said they have received the relevant paperwork. Upshot is, I have a new year long policy that has my stroke notified on it for £154 and will leave my policy open so my claim is live. As for the £728...chancers!
  4. Sorry about that, here ya go. I have alsobedited my post now. Part near the bottom.
  5. This came up on my Facebook. I noticed the bit about our game in Stuttgart. As Germany game is on in fanzone even though Scotland v Hungary are playing in that city, it could lead to thousands of Scotland and Hungarian fans searching around for a place to watch the game. Same could go for fans based in other cities. I hope they get it sorted.
  6. I saw a guy with it on yesterday. It looked like he was pure "Look at me, I have the new Scotland top on" as he walked down the road.
  7. Goal which took two deflections from a cross aside, I can't remember us having a shot or target all night. Dunfermline were worthy winners, but we were really poor.
  8. Did you pump her when she was emotionally down? All joking aside I watched something online recently from a footballers wife's view. It may have been a Fozzcast. He said the life of a player's wife was one of uprooting if transferred, finiding a house, schools and as you said trying to make new friends at each new club or losing friends because their husbands had been transferred. Add to that many had women literally throwing themselves at their men and fans stroking their ego. All this while possibly being in another part of the country(or even abroad) from the friends and family you grew up with. Added to that you have a husband who could be feeling the pressure of a relegation, going for promotion, a trophy or an injury and bringing that home each day. He said especially if you were in the English premiership player you were practically cosseted by the club, where everything was laid on for you by comparison to the wife.
  9. I am a bit old for wearing a football shirt so leave that to others. Added to that I had a stroke on New Year's eve and the upside of it, I have been of a healthy eating plan and have lost 2 1/2 stone already, so no idea what a DH Gate sizing to get as I don't know what size I will be when I go to Germany in June! But I have wondered how Scotland seemed to have picked 2 strips that come from templates and are not liked by the majority, yet Belguim (who have never won anything) get to pick unusual kits (not for the first time). Yes they are higher ranked nation and a bigger country but I can only assume it has something to do with the SFA contract and Adidas...or somebody from the SFA has no taste, is having a laugh or is colourblind.
  10. I will be giving up an aibnb for the night of the game on Rachstrasse in Munich. It is just a double fold=down bed for the night of the game. It is just a room in a shared property. 50 minutes from the stadium and 45 minutes from Olympic fan park. The people know it was two Scotland fans coming. I paid £109 for the room. I will also be ging up an Airbnb for Cologne on the night of the game.
  11. It might have been better that as soon as they knew the tournament wad oversubscribed, that the first day of the resell only allowed you the chance of picking up a ticket for the nation you originally said you preferred...ie if you chose Scotland you could only get a Scotland ticket. Then if there is any left put them up for a free-for-all another time. No disrespect to any on here but you will possibly be sitting next to a Frenchman with a Scotland ticket while thousands of Scotland fans who tried to log in missed out. Times that scenario for every country. It would also mean more fans visiting Germany because they got a ticket to the match of the country they supported, reduce possible flaspoints and make for a better atmosphere. Unfortunately Eufa only care only about the money and not the fans spending their hard earned cash. For the record, I am going, got no ticket, not bitter and am glad of any fan that got a ticket(s) for any game. I think the real annoying thing will be all the hopsos that get tickets but can't be bothered watching the games because the are not interested in football but see it as a jolly they can boast about to friends.
  12. First two draws I did 6 different names and on three devices. Orhers did single accounts ans some did more. Today I went in as one name on my phone. Glad you got something and while I lost out again I am not bitter. There was always going to be a demand to see the future European champions
  13. I wish I had as much faith in Uefa as you lol. We applied in first two ballots I think it was 14 names. Total amount of tickets we applied for was 1500...we got nothing. Got in at 23 minutes past ten and tried for Scotland tickets in any of the three matches in any category and kept getting unavailable despite saying they were. Did not try for any other matches. Got in a second time just there and it was showing only about 6 matches withe tickets 200, 250, 400 and 500 euros for the two weeks we are there. I will try in any other ballots but doubt I will be lucky. I used to be in the supporters club from 95 to a few years ago but my dad died and my mates started going less and less due to family commitments and etc. Payback is indeed a bitch.
  14. Yeah, it is what it is. Spent many a time in pre-sale queues and other ticket queues for gigs and been let down, this is just another one. Pity though...but enjoy you day if you got anything.
  15. It was always going to be a long shot. The two of us will just enjoy the craic with the fans and go to the fanzone.
  16. I am in portal again but it has not moved the bar for 15 minutes after giving me an error Mate got in and all we wanted was any 2 scotland tickets and he got nothing. He is also back in the queue to see if they are releasing them through the day rather than all at once
  17. I logged in to portal at just before 10am, got an error message then a code and had to wait. At 23 minutes past it let me select "tickets available" (only picked Scotland matched) but each time I clicked buy and entered the code it kept saying the tickets were not available. After 30 minutes of this ot has booted me back to the timer bar. My mate had logged in at 10 mins before me but ended up behind me in the queue. The after the bar saying he was down to 5 minutes it booted him back to 45 mins. Our hope is they release them in drips and drabs to give everybody a shot and we might get lucky but I thought we would be up against it anyway so not too pissed about it. But selecting tickets and then to be told they are not available is a bummer. We were only select 2 tickets but maybe we should have been selecting 4.
  18. Telling me 5 mins but even then they will be gone
  19. I got that message when it went to 10am the it gave me code for waiting room but the dar filling up so slow I think I will be goosed
  20. It is going to be fun. All the fans of both teams and neutrals trying to grab a limited amount of sought after tickets for the games. It will be carnage. As I have said before, we did not get any tickets in previous rounds of the ballot, and although we are off tomorrow and will be trying, I do not hold out much hope this time either. Good luck to those that do.
  21. When we win the Euros it will automatically become a classic kit and not just for Scotland fans, whatever it looks like.
  22. The two of us have no tickets and we are both off that day but I am still not hopefully of any. If somebody is selling 4 tickets will you have to buy the 4?
