  1. Made the mistake of checking various accounts on my phone. It just blocked me...I am fcuked lol
  2. Cheers. That appears to a different link than I was using. Still nae luck though lol
  3. Question for those that got the second chance to buy tickets yesterday. How did it work? Did you get an email with a link and if so was it to the normal ticket portal to your account or somewhere else? Did you find out by logging into your portal and see that your initial list of ticket applications had changed? I have had no emails and my ticket applications are all still red so was just wondering what the process is. Not holding out much hope but just making sure I do not miss the opportunity by ignorance. Cheers
  4. Fingers crossed but not hopeful.
  5. Checked the 8 applications I submitted. No email. (Did not get any tickets in initial ballot.) Checked portal as some of my email rejections arrived two days after the ballot. Appears to be no change/offer. I assume you re-check your original ticket portal application to see if anything has changed. Or was I doing it incorrectly?
  6. This would be an interesting group if we turn up and play like we can. All are teams we could get a result against on the day but getting tickets would be a nightmare. On the flip side...extra spice... Germany v Poland would be fought like a derby with a lot of Poles in the ground. Germany v Albania would probably have a lot of crazy Albanians in the stadium which might affect the result. Poland v Albania would be a resumption of the grudge matches from the qualifiers. We could just slide through to the next round while everybody was looking the other way.
  7. Fifa 26 world cup group A. China Argentina England Panama (papers)
  8. A bit late with this. Prodigy in Glasow last Thursday. Not the same energy without Keith Flint but fun night nevertheless. Rammlied at Beat Generator in Dundee this coming Saturday. Trying to book hotel in Glasgow for Celtic Connections on 20th Jan.
  9. Fir my own 8 different names 8 different emails addresses 6 different home addresses All but two if the accounts had been set up previously for other tournaments so was just a case of logging in and applying for Euro 24. Used 2 laptops and two mobiles. All done using VPN/Incognito I know two other mates put in one application each. Not sure how my third mate did his, think he used 4 different names/addresses using different computers/phones and different Internet providers. None of the tickets were linked using the linking ID for tickets to sit together. We a put in for tickets all the way through to the final, which should not have been am issue if it is a fair ballot but might have flagged up something It is what it is. Just have to suck it up and hope we get lucky further down the line.
  10. I checked my 8 different portal accounts on Tuesday. No tickets. So far I have had only emails to 4 of those 8 portal accounts to tell me I was unsuccessful. All arrived on Wednesday night. Not hopeful for future tickets via email alerts on evidence of this.
  11. I was under the assumption that you had to register for the first ballot to be eligible for any subsequent ballot. I might be wrong. When I applied in the recent ballot you could apply for up to 4 tickets per match so that should cover you and yer wee man. Chances if getting tickets using either route are slim though. Following Scotland in major tournament does not come around often, so if you can, take him for the craic even without tickets..it will be an experience you will both never forget.
  12. 13 applications. 22 matches per each application = 286 matches. 4 tickets per match = 1,144 individual tickets applied for. 0 tickets Wr have only had 3 emails confirming we get zilch. With regards to big matches. My first game was as a nipper in 73, first Wembley trip was 79. England was always all ticket for those that were too drunk/lazy to hurdle turnstiles or tie scarfs together. I remember my dad getting 7 of us into Annfield for the Wales WC qualifier game with 5 tickets. He then went out the gate and sold two to a copper and came back in the gate. Different times. There was a couple of guys that ran our buses that always seemed to be able to get everybody a ticket. By the 80s most home games were ticketed from what I remember.
  13. Cheers mate, will do. I was lucky enough to get to Euro 96 France 98, tickets or not there is no way I am missing out on this.
  14. I did 8 applications all in different names/addresses using two mobiles and two computers. On first PC it blocked me after 2nd application, hence using different options to combat this. Applied for a ticket for each eligible match from group to final. Did different games in each application which meant every match in the tournament was covered. Mate did similar for 4 applications. Nephew did 2 Another mate did 4. Got nothing between all of us. To be honest I always thought it would be a long shot so not surprised/too disappointed. All the best to the lucky ones. Fanzone it is.
  15. A job for retired refs? Get involved in local clubs more so players are more understanding in the laws of the game. The theory being that if you know what the laws are, then you are less likely to break them in the first place. Or if you break them, then you will understand why the decision has gone against you are less likely to players losing the plot on the pitch, coaching staff being sent to the stand and fines for greetin' and blethering shite at post match interviews But then again, that would all be just too sensible.
  16. I had seen it mentioned that you could only get a max of 4 including any previous bought. I gave up my membership a few years back due to other mates dropping out (joined in 95). I created a new one for applying for tickets for one of the Israel games but it was not a full membership. Back in the old days it used to piss me off when mates would ask us 4 members to get them tickets (numbers back then allowed you to get your ticket and another for a friend most of the time) yet had no intention of joining. So muggings would be paying for a membership yet they got the perk of a ticket without extra costs. I should have told them to get stuffed but I am too nice lol. That is why I never really moan about not getting a ticket. If yiu can afford to be a member, it gives you the odd perk. Good luck to them.
  17. Was the ticket sale this morning only for ssc members? I clicked the link at 9:50 and the message said I was in a queue and there was at least an hour waiting time and not to open my browser. Needless to say my faint hope of getting one of the few tickets quickly evaporated and by 10:30 I gave up as knew they woukd be gone by then. Pub it is then.
  18. Mates are being a pain but not commiting to even say they will ho in theory. While we have put in for the ballot we doubt we will get tickets. Just gonna hold fire and see what happens. I think some accommodations will free up a wee bit once draw is made, fans of other teams will no doubt have done what you did but it is gonna be a free for all for flights snd accommodation.
  19. I have a photo from the back of the Sunday Post when we beat Rangers at Ibrox on his debut. Carnage in the United end with Jackson running to us followed by Badger and big Dunc eventually on top of Jackson's shoulders. Loved that guy.
  20. No idea where I remember this from (so it could be a lot of sh!te) but apparently one of the factors of the name change away from Hibernian was also the fact the area of Lochee where many catholics hailed from already had clubs in the form of Lochee Harp. Lochee United, Dundee Violet and according to wiki, Lochee Emmet (which O had never heard of until now). Another strange one about Lochee was the gang colours of the Lochee Fleet. Red and blue. Not colours you might expect from an area that had a high Catholic population. I once read they took their name from the Maryhill Fleet(o) so wonder if there is anything in that. Or perhaps anything green/yeallow/white was already spoken for. As others have mentioned, I could not tell you the religion of any United or Dundee fans unless they mentioned the school they went to.
  21. I loaned an airbed and electric pump once. Took ages to come back. When it was eventually returned I stuck it in attic. Next time I went to use it I opened the box to find a 3 prong house plug version and not a car plug one which I had loaned them and there was no place to plug in. Turned out the reason for the delayed return was because they had lost the adapter and did not want to tell me so eventually bought a new one and stuck it in the old box. Thankfully I am used to camping without luxury of an airbed. Same when I loaned somebody a fancy dress outfit (fir a friend of a friend) which was mostly white but with red trimmings that had been made gir me with specific instructions not to wash it, just hand it back. Took over 6 months ages to get it back and when I did it was pink.
