  1. I was just about to describe him as a one-hit wonder, but then I checked YouTube and discovered that he has a lengthy catalogue of music. This includes the long-awaited sequel track 'Hello' which was released 9 days ago.
  2. This was indeed the story that had been doing the rounds. Due to the mutually beneficial nature of the real reason, we respected wee Davie’s wishes to keep it a secret.
  3. It’s going to be quite a sobering moment for Livingston supporters when they finally realise why David Martindale was acting all pally-pally with Chris Kane a few weeks ago.
  4. I would have liked Tommy Wright or Jody Morris when we were ‘looking’ for Callum Davidson’s replacement. Alas, we made the bizarre decision to go with our failed manager’s failed assistant. But now, it’s no longer the right time for a Jody Morris appointment. And Tommy, who might have been under consideration previously, is no longer available. It has been a total clusterfuck in a long line of total clusterfucks. Anyway, we need to go against our traditional transfer policy now. We need an experienced head. It’s our only hope. Maybe Neilson is a good shout, although he appears devoid of a personality. From the other names currently linked, I can’t see why Martindale would be interested. Billy Dodds is a hard no.
  5. I’ll never question your judgement again. We are down. We should just go all-out from this point onwards and forget about tactics. At least make it fun and go out in a ball of flames.
  6. That would be quite uncharacteristic. For all of our many faults, we haven’t been thumped by anyone in the league yet.
  7. Whilst in the midst of a torrid run of form, it would be so easy for St Johnstone supporters to feel pessimistic about an upcoming match against the current 3rd-place team. But then we're reminded that Scott Tanser is widely considered to be one of their best players.
  8. Charlie Adam is incredibly thick. There are some things that should be kept to oneself.
  9. I’m not watching. Thought that was quite clear, but I’ll state it explicitly now.
  10. What is there to enjoy? I generally just switch on these matches until the first Celtic goal goes in and then I switch them off again. If you’re watching totally non-competitive matches in the EPL or Bundesliga from time to time, at least you’d still get the benefit of seeing some quality football being played by the likes of Manchester City or Bayern Munich. There’s no joy in watching mediocre teams like Celtic playing unexciting football and still winning comfortably.
  11. Just like every other televised match in Scotland, this is so so boring. Can anyone other than Celtic fans and Hearts fans sit through 90 minutes of this? What a depressing product we have with Sky Sports in charge of the output.
  12. I actually thought our goal had been immediately disallowed, such was the lack of enthusiasm from the commentary team. Ruined Billy G’s big moment.
  13. Jeez, a lot of negative nancies in this thread. Surely having the best chance of progression at the actual tournament is also something that matters?
  14. Norway don’t look up to much. Happy for them to score a goal whenever. They won’t score another one.
  15. In all seriousness, this is a sad day for Philippe Clement. Sending my best wishes to him and his family.
  16. I have a friend who sends voice messages of himself laughing whenever he thinks I've said something funny. No words whatsoever, just laughter. Now, don't get me wrong, I pride myself on being hilarious and it's nice to receive these ego boosts from time to time. But I can't help picturing the recording process. If his voice cracks or it doesn't quite sound the way he wants it to, does he cancel the recording, stop laughing, press 'record' and start laughing again? Or does he continuously laugh throughout the entire process? I do wonder about these things.
  17. Costelloe beginning to look quite effective. Would like to see him partnered with Kane.
  18. I’m sorry, but I can’t really get my head around the fact that Rangers sacked Michael Beale. This sums up everything that is wrong with modern football. Sure, he signed a lot of these terrible footballers, but surely that’s cancelled out - at the very least - by the fact that he managed to get these terrible footballers performing at such a high level (3rd place in the Scottish Premiership). I also wouldn’t have been too surprised if these players, under his stewardship, managed to get a point against Aris Limassol.
  19. This is exactly what they deserve for getting rid of Michael Beale whilst sitting in a very respectable 3rd place.
  20. If Celtic and Rangers were a double act, I’d generally describe Rangers as the funnier of the two and I’d generally describe Celtic as the straight man in their comedy duo. Well well well… I might need to re-evaluate some things.
  21. I've got a tear in my eye now, so thanks so much for this post. We feel seen.
  22. In an ideal world, I’d keep the same back three with McGowan instead of Gordon, but that isn’t going to happen. I’d definitely keep Robinson there, however. I don’t think he’s particularly natural as a wing-back yet, and the left slot in a back three actually worked quite nicely for him.
  23. If Rangers are serious about eventually challenging Celtic, I’d suggest they appoint Callum Davidson (the recent manager of Scotland’s second-most successful club of the last decade).
