  1. I will listen to Tranmere fans views on Mellon before posters on here who know nothing about him.
  2. The poll on this thread hasn't aged well. Welcome to Tanadeechie Micky
  3. I trust Tranmere fans view on him and they dont blame him for the position they finished in. He took them to 2 promotions in a row and they say his budget for League 1 was lower than most of the other clubs and most of the team were the ones he had when they were in the National League. In other words he was overachieving at Tranmere.
  4. Dont know a lot about him but Tranmere fans love him and are desperate to keep him so that's a bit of an endorsement. Quite a contrast to how United fans flet about Neilson going.
  5. Of course its not fair but given clubs voted against reconstruction there is no other option and in these circumstances there is a degree of sympathy for clubs being relegated. However, what Hearts and Thistle are doing is trying to save themselves by holding a gun to the rest of Scottish football and Partick Thistle who haven't won a game in 2020 have a brass neck trying to penalise Dundee United 14 point clear in the division. Hearts also tried to hatch a plan with Rangers and Inverness to null and void the season, again penalising the teams who actually performed well. Budge's false care for Scottish football with reconstruction was seen right through especially by a lot of the smaller clubs if Budge had her way from comments a year before would have been obliterated. One of the many reason goodwill has been in short supply.
  6. Doncaster would just recuse himself from any discussions, actions and decisions on the case by the SFA board. Standard procedure when there is a conflict of interest.
  7. March Ian Maxwell, SFA chief executive, said: “Given the fast-moving nature of this unprecedented situation, and the imperative to safeguard public health, we will consider future dates for the cup ties when the situation becomes clearer. “We are, however, committed to completing the competition at the appropriate time, in front of spectators, and will base any decision on government and UK Medical Officers advice, and the readiness of participants to complete the ties.” May We don't know, we want to play them in front of supporters, there's a big financial imperative. "Depending on what the numbers of supporters are, we want to try and and give it a bit of time to see how that unfolds over the next few months before we make a decision. "We would look at it, we would look at it. You then start to get fixture challenges, depending on how the season plays out and how the fixture calendar looks at that point. "We would need to make a decision at some point but we're committed to playing the competition to its completion." June “Ideally we want to play them in front of supporters. “If it becomes apparent that we are not going to be able to get significant numbers of supporters into stadiums for a period of time then we’re going to have to make a decision on playing matches because the matches are important. “It’s our flagship event and we want to finish it. “It’s unknown, if we thought we could wait until later on in the year and that would guarantee us a number of supporters in the stadium then great, everybody would look forward to that. If that’s not going to be the case then I’m sure we will get the games played somehow.”
  8. I would assume they are aware that at some point they may have to adjudicate on the decision. If they had got involved and not said what Hearts like no doubt they would have been criticised for interfering.
  9. Timing is poor but the question is what do Untied fans think of Neilson and the reality is he was not highly rated by United fans. The big difference between this season and last season (where Neilson failed to get us up) was 2 things Shankland's goals and mid season conceding very few goals. I say mid season as that was when Connolly was injured and Neilson stumbled on a partnership of Wilson and Reynolds. But Robbie brings Connolly back in to the team and we start leaking goals again. And without Shankland's goals we were serving up the same turgid stuff as the season before.
  10. No it wasnt. It was because he had the players practice penalties and was confident the players would put them away. One of the many reasons I am not bothered about Neilson going.
  11. But given reconstruction isn't happening and all clubs agreed to end the season what is your solution?
  12. But Budges court papers state they want to stop relegation and promotion.
  13. Depends how you look it is another way of saying Hearts want to save their arses and fairness doesn't come in to it. United invested a lot in promotion, so there is a big financial cost to not being promoted. If Hearts werent in the position they are in you would be agreeing that the team who has been successful on the pitch should be rewarded over the one that has had a crap season.
  14. Clubs rejected reconstruction so we are left with the scenario you either penalise the clubs at the top Dundee United, Raith and Cove or the bottom Hearts, Partick, Stranraer. Between the 2 there is only one fairer outcome.
  15. Do you think it is fairer for Dundee United 14 point clear at top of The Championship being denied promotion than Partick Thsitle who haven't won a game in 2020 being saved from relegation?
  16. Trying to stop promotion to save Hearts blows out of the water any pretence that fairness has been the driving force. When it comes to a toss up between do you penalise a team that has had a very good season and finished top and a team that had had a crap season and bottom there can only be one outcome. Partick Thistle havent even won a single game in 2020. Sounds like most of the clubs though are not having this nonsense
  17. Finishing bottom of Division 2 doesn't relegate a team though. It just means you will go in to a separate play off competition administered by the SFA which may or may not result in relegation. Brora and Kelty had to still play each other for the right to have a go at Brechin. It wasn't going to played so without reconstruction the only result could be for Brechin to stay put.
  18. The devastating words from McKinnon at Morton that revealed the plot to null and void the season. Scot Gardiner said he was working with Hearts and Rangers to put in a new resolution. He said they would try to put that resolution in before the vote so there would be two resolutions for clubs to vote on. “If not, and if the SPFL proposals were voted down, then they would try to push on with their own resolution - and that resolution was to void the season with no promotion and no relegation. Well that one certainly backfired. If Hearts want to blame anyone blame themselves and Scott Gardiner in particular for creating the bad blood. Its not how you canvass goodwill.
  19. I'm not really sure posting a picture of a popular suicide hotspot is helping your cause.

That is killing people. Withdrawing funding from WHO will also kill people.
  21. Thanks for posting. Makes now even more sweeter watching that dick with the 'doon' specks on.
  22. What was the score that last time St Johnstone played United? You need to go back to 1957 for the last time St Johnstone took full points of United.
