  1. So much anger and Lawwell as the pantomime bogus bogeyman. If you really want to point the finger first of all look at your own teams disastrous season and secondly if you hook up with the Rangers/ Gardiner plot creating a shiotstorm dont be surprised when you beg for reconstruction the goodwill isnt there.
  2. I wonder why you think its fair to null and void a season where Rangers won nothing and their great rivals heading for 9IAR. Leaving that aside null and void would reward the teams that did badly and penalise the ones the had a great season. Benefit Hearts, Partick, Stranraer Penalise Celtic, Dundee United, Raith Rovers, Cove Rangers No not having your logic.
  3. Noam Chomsky. The greatest thinker alive today.
  4. Best: Appointing a 34 year old coach at Dundee as our new manager named James Yuil McLean. This set in motion the extraordinary period in our history. Worst: Stephen Thompson deciding he wanted to buy an Australian club (and failing at that) which meant the money he put in to United became loans that had to repaid promptly and sold our best players replacing them with diddies. This ushered in our worst period in modern times.
  5. Gardiner started feeding him stories. He ran with it. Chose a side. Gardiner turns out to be a less than honest plotter. English instead of backing off and admitting he backed the wrong horse has just doubled down which has made himself look even more foolish.
  6. Though they did have an attempt at null and void as exposed by Dave McKinnon “I am happy to speak on the record. “I always keep notes from every meeting and I am sitting looking at those notes as we speak. “On the Thursday, April 9 before the Good Friday vote - and I’ve got it here - Scot Gardiner said he was working with Hearts and Rangers to put in a new resolution. He said they would try to put that resolution in before the vote so there would be two resolutions for clubs to vote on. “If not, and if the SPFL proposals were voted down, then they would try to push on with their own resolution - and that resolution was to void the season with no promotion and no relegation.
  7. A lot of truth in Michael Gannon piece this morning Rangers have done what they needed to do. Forget all this “greater good of the game” guff, coincidentally spouted by most of the clubs who would be shafted by the season being ended. Gers wanted to block the initial vote, kick the can down the road and show fans they wouldn’t hand over the title off the field. Fair enough. They’ve made their point clearly and when the inevitable happens now they can say they didn’t back down. The rammy in the Championship was sheer opportunism – the ideal chance to get to their ultimate goal – to get rid of Neil Doncaster, Murdo MacLennan and Rod McKenzie. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-didnt-back-down-strategy-22023363
  8. No unanimous is full agreement. The literal definition of consensus is general agreement. The 2 are not the same. The definition of general is concerning all or most . You may want to call it semantics but use of the term consensus leaves the door ajar a bit that not everyone agreed. Under the current climate it is very important that if everyone voted for something it is stated that it was everyone as we know when the SPFL declare the Premiership the usual suspects will kick up another shit storm. It is important to state the decision was unanimous.
  9. In the powder keg of agenda being pushed, mistrust, claims. counter claims it is important if something is unanimous it is stated as 'unanimous' rather than the slightly more vague 'consensus' which has a different meaning. Its diluting.
  10. Voting for Rangers motions, doctoring minutes. What has happened to the sheep?
  11. We've been deprived of the blue pound since the inception of the new club. Not because of boycotts, well they did try at a cup game, but we have never been in the same league. And now for the facts on this devastating blow United's average attendances Rangers in Premiership 11/12 7412 No Rangers in the Premiership 12/13 7663 13/14 7608 14/15 7895 15/16 8285 Average attendance this season in the championship 8496 So in reality our attendances went up without the blue pound. Karma indeed.
  12. The Dundee vote that was explained. The shit storm that followed was created by the clubs wanting a investigation. It was the clubs decision to reject reconstruction I am not sure why this is being conflated with the other.
  13. Tom English been sarcy the other day with Brechin then totally ignoring their statement yesterday. He has chosen his side and has gone baw deep in the quicksand. with no idea how to get out. On Brechin not been relegated does he not understand finishing bottom of Division 2, unlike the other divisions, doesn't relegate a team? It merely places then in to a separate play off round which is currently impossible to take place and we dont even know who they would play if it ever got of the ground. .
  14. Perhaps he doesnt feel the need to respond to unverified he said, she said tittle tattle from nearly 30 years ago. Embarrassing that Rangers actually issued a statement about this
  15. So Iain McMenemy is voting for the motion. This one was more mystifying. Surely cant be?
  16. Its fuvking shite. Corroborated by other Championship clubs, just as Brechin statement corroborated by other League 2 clubs.
  17. Looks like the Scott Gardiner and Rangers plot has been rumbled. It was obvious from that first interview on Sportsound when Gardiner pushed the anti SPFL agenda then conveniently made his excuses to go just before the Rangers statement was dropped, this was an orchestrated campaign of disruption and it seems null and void as the end goal. Makes sense for Rangers, Gardiner has sold his club for his big team.
  18. Well that is going to go well for Rangers getting their votes from league 2 clubs tomorrow.
  19. So you are not accusing Clyde of hypocrisy?
  20. Clyde are agreeing with you about hypocrisy. All clubs are voting in self interest including their own. They say why they voted the way they did. He is having a go at the clubs who have been lashing out at others voting in self interest without acknowledging they are themselves. They only 2 clubs who have pretended to be acting for the greater good are Rangers 'governance of the game' and Gardiner at Inverness 'didn't want to relegate teams' These are the ones for the watching.
  21. I cant take anything Gardiner says seriously. Both on his appearance on Sportsound and in this statement the giveaway is his claim his motives were not self interest but good of Scottish football. That is the dead giveaway. Every club is looking after themselves. "Management of ICTFC has had and still have no issue with the clubs in 1st place of each division being awarded the league title if there is no possibility of winning those titles on the field of play, none whatsoever. We fully admit to having an agenda, that is that no fellow member of the SPFL should be more financially damaged than we all already have been since the complete shutdown of our industry. We believed that no club should have been relegated or expelled during an unfinished season." So how does that work.? No clubs relegated, teams winning league promoted. The only way that would work would be if there was league reconstruction. And guess what would happen in this scenario - Inverness would be promoted to Premiership. Surprise, surprise but selfless Scott only concern is Partick Thistle not been relegated. Gardiner in the end actually shot himself in the foot by aligning with Rangers. It was this created hostile environment of claims and counter claims that made it impossible for there to be any goodwill among clubs in reconstruction talks. On the bullying question. It seems there was a difference of opinion as to whether bullying took place or robust discussions. There is absolutely no good moaning about this but not filing a formal complaint. That is the vehicle in which an investigation would take place and would make a determination if there was a case to answer.
  22. Of the clubs who are losing out Falkirk are the only one I have any real sympathy for. Hearts, Partick and Stranraer have had terrible seasons, Thistle haven't even won a game in 2020. Inverness are miles behind United and best case scenario is 2 tricky play off rounds. Same goes for Edinburgh City. Falkirk though had a genuine chance to win the league 1. Reconstruction was a non starter due to Budge and Rangers. Budge for her past comments and clear case of self serving agenda to save Hearts. Rangers though created the really hostile climate, again pure self interest to try and stop Celtic from being given the title. Their end game would have been null and void which would rewarded the poorest performing teams and penalised the best performing teams and would have made no difference to Falkirk's situation. Due to the hostile atmosphere there has been a complete lack of goodwill for clubs to pull together and find a way that does least damage. Given reconstruction is off the table and null and void is the least fair option, unfortunately for Falkirk that's the way it is to be. Hope you get up next season, if there is one.
