  1. That's the main issue, really. In everyday life folk generally work and socialise with people who are similar to themselves. Airports, supermarkets and roads are some of the few places where you have to share your time with the populace at large, and that's why they are the source of 83% of grumblings on the general nonsense forum.
  2. The Israeli economy contracted at an annualised 19.4% last quarter. Mainly down to calling up 300,000 reservists, evacuating 180,000 Israelis from border areas and restricting travel for West Bank Palestinians who work in the construction industry.
  3. Stirling: The Settle Inn. [end of list]
  4. When the Lidl opened in Possil they leaflets all the nearby houses advertising their opening week's offers: opera glasses and cigar humidors. Outstanding market research.
  5. You realise clubs can make more than one plan, right? Interesting to know that Raith's relative success this season is down to a couple of extra weeks of knowing which league they'd be in and not something like having an entirely new board in place.
  6. The problem could be largely solved if the SNP altered the legislation making it mandatory for people to have an airport pint and post the resultant photo on Facebook.
  7. That would qualify as financially stable in Italy. My Panini album would describe a club as being founded in 2004 but having their highest league finish as 1964.
  8. I thought there already was, after clubs were filling shipping containers with pubescent Africans then leaving the majority to rot in a strange land after not making the grade. Pretty sure Barcelona got caught and then whined about how they should get away with it as they're "mes que un club" and not at all a bunch of c***s.
  9. Stopping play when someone gets cramp. If you're not fit enough, tough shite.
  10. Regardless of his skills or personality, it's just an absolute belter of a name.
  11. I got lost in the UEFA site and was trying to remember who this Robert Williamson was who used to manage Kilmarnock.
  12. Never met a Beelzebub that wasn't an arsehole Prince of darkness. Same goes for Aleister.
  13. Quite. "Amusing" twitter usernames is a PTTGOMN, attention-seeking nonsense.
  14. Hopefully, as with most technology, the price will decrease with time. I'm sure back in the day it was thought only the richest of clubs would ever have floodlights, now you have tier seven clubs with them. I was naive enough to think that VAR would just need a season to bed in and for the officials to get used to it and the process sped up. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to have been much improvement.
  15. And her work is now complete: I fucking knew it!
  16. Is it though? Think we'll need to see pics before accepting such a claim.
  17. I'd be fine with it limited to the job of a glorified linesman: checking offsides and if the ball has crossed the line. But the system would need to work a lot quicker than it does now. I'd also be mildly okay with it checking penalties that have been given by the ref, as play stops for ages then anyway. Despite being on the wrong side of three VAR decisions on that dark day in Dingwall, it was McTominay against Spain which had me putting anthrax in envelopes.
  18. There are plenty more obvious ones, but the one which came to mind for me (after Chic) was Quinton Jacobs. We were his only European club as Which I find somewhat hard to believe.
  19. & Yes rated, but forever underrated. And that's why the best pizza topping is anchovies and capers.
  20. We should just have a standardised list of approved names, like the Finns (and possibly others) do. That would save all the fankle. Albania used to have quite strict naming laws until communism ended, and that's how I know three people called Klinsmann (and one called Maldini).
  21. That's Debbie for me. Miles is horrendous, as is Jules.
