  1. Mind and send them a big invoice if the game gets postponed
  2. Does it matter this year? the fixture secretary made sure the licensed team in contention was in a position to play in any play off, unfortunately they could not win enough games to make this happen. Unless someone had 4 or more games cancelled at unlicensed teams and there was no way to move games about on weekends (Which there is) there is not a problem.
  3. if they had licences they would therefore have floodlights and have been able to play the postponed games from September to early March on the first available midweek. Getting the champion to game 38 before the start of May is not going to be problem.
  4. You could have a massive imbalance in the fixtures, worse than the SPFL Premierhip if you used that model. At the split some would have played 10 home and 9 away or 9 home and 10 away , even with a seeding system as the Premiership has some teams would end up with 2 visits to some teams with no home games against that team. Then there is getting to the split in time, this would need to happen in December or January or have a gap of around 2 or 3 weeks to play postponed games for sides in the mix for a top or bottom half finish.
  5. It did for the team who could have hypothetically played in it For all the other teams is there a need to finish before mid to late May?
  6. Good win for Luncarty last night against a Swifts side that looked a bit off it compared to Sunday. The visitors did have a good spell after pulling 1 back just as Luncarty had gone 2 up but the 3rd goal killed it and it now looks like Luncarty might survive which certainly did not look the case around Christmas.
  7. Having walked over both for club media the pitch at Airdrie felt far superior, how it plays i cannot comment.
  8. You take the Scottish collective coefficient so who ever becomes N4 will as it stands be a seed in R2, it all depends who qualifies in the next month This site gives you weekly updates as it all pans out https://kassiesa.net/uefa/seedco2024.html
  9. I would imagine they will take the steps to make sure this does not happen again, but if both clubs do not have the licence nor follow the rules the play off which will most probably be against Edinburgh City wont happen.
  10. The Brechin statement is wild and is being widely slated by their own support. it will be interesting to see what the SPFL does now with those in its membership who have failed to move on from entry level. Nothing would surprise me more than some of the teams being removed from the league and replaced by B teams as there were no licenced teams to take their place..
  11. This point last year i was very enthusiastic about the whole thing but that's gone down to zero just now. The reality of past finals, the NI game and Saints making football shit to watch has me thinking we will be home finishing bottom of the group.
  12. As a debenture holder i was sent the offer e-mail by Hampden yesterday and the kick off time was confirmed then. I do wonder what the standard tickets will be priced at as its £60 for a Bronze seat and £85 for a silver seat.
  13. I also went to Penicuik v Musselburgh game on Tuesday, the visitors were impressive on a very bumpy pitch.
  14. Kinnoull survive for another game after a 3-2 win over Luncarty last night. Getting the first goal put Luncarty on the back foot, before they equalized just before half time. With Luncarty then starting the second half stronger Kinnoull hit twice and despite another headed goal the hosts claimed all 3 points. These mid week Perthshire clashes have not always gone to form this year, Luncarty won at Jeanfield, Kinnoull also came close at jeanfield and now Luncarty drop 3 points at Kinnoull.
  15. TBF Kinnoull had a great run to the end of last season and were minutes away from winning the EOS first division title before Dunbar got a late winner. The subsequent change of manager at Jeanfield which resulted in the Luncarty manager going to Jeanfield and then the Kinnoull manager going to Luncarty made the start of the season hard and was far from ideal. Short term the EOS First division is the right place for Kinnoull, with a great season they could repeat 22/23 but most seasons they should win more than they lose at that level, even with more of the late entrant West Lothian clubs progress up the EOS.
  16. Big chance for Luncarty to collect 3 more points on Wednesday when they travel to Kinnoull.
  17. The above will never happen Firstly you are relegating 12 teams out of the SPFL , the clubs will never go for that Then there is is the issue at tier 6 - Why are the Midland league teams and South of Scotland teams relegated from tier 6 to 8 in one go ? Also the issue of the Highland league being shunted into a play off yet the lowland league getting direct entry as pointed out above.
  18. Kilmarnock sold out the main stand and then were given more blocks in the North stand The away disabled platform is in the main stand and the disabled supporters wish to be with the rest of their support so that section is always sold first. if we did it the way you have suggested the experience for these fans would be significantly reduced.
  19. Tranent 1-1 Albion Rovers What an excellent advert for the Lowland league, an end to end game on a good surface for this time of year with two sets of passionate fans who were able to stand next to each other under the cover last night. The game was in the balance right until the last kick of the ball.
  20. Excellent , still need Tranent and EK to complete the Lowland league for now. That decides the choice of game tonight.
  21. The gamble paid off in that Bowyer got the team up, funded by a loan of 2 million at 1% per year from Dark Blue holdings. This makes sense as Keys needs the team to build a stadium for as part of the wider development and its the only way they can realistically ever make a profit on this. Some interesting notes in the details as posted on the club website In the going concern section there is mention of the losses for this season being similar but then an improving from 24/25 A supplier Mr G Strachan settled a £192,000 invoice by way of a share issue in February of this year . What has he been doing thats worth 192K?
  22. Its one more than it should be just now as we started the season with Ross Sinclair who then was injured just after Dimitar Mitov was signed to be competition for him. Hes superb and without him we would be in the relegation play off spot for sure. With Ross out Dave Richards was signed as an experienced back up but has yet to play. Mitov is now the Bulgarian number 1 and i doubt we will be able to hold onto him for long. Jack Wills is 21 and out on loan at Queens Park and then Craig is on loan with Cowdenbeath, the Under 18s keeper could be who you get next but if he follows the path Craig did they will put him out to a local East of Scotland team first then lowland league.
  23. I think as it stands Craig is the number 5 keeper so i doubt he will be in our squad next season. One for the future.
  24. The odd thing was the staff were defending the lads not having seen the amount of waste and mess they were making and 3 times called the man away from the kids. i felt sorry for the 2 lads who looked about 18 who were sent out to clean up the mess of condiments and food they had smeared over the surfaces that the staff cannot see from the desk.
  25. Probably my all time favorite Saints game. Went to the game expecting nothing but we put in such a good effort. The DJ has the music at full volume from about 45 minutes before kick off and off all the lockdown games i was lucky enough to "work" at this felt the most normal. Gerrard went mental when Ranger scored and we had the media posts typed up with all the cup stats from that season when Clark headed the ball onto Chris Kane's foot and we equalized.
