With those two up front I think they’ll have the firepower to be safe.
Allum a bit hot and cold but a good striker on his day and Payne I’d have never let go from the Rose. Great finisher.
Jeanfield probably now got exactly what you want after a defeat. Two must win games for them!
Thats it over for Jeanfield now, it probably was before.
Next weeks game in Perth will still be interesting but i think the champions elect will be the visitors.

What a statement! Talking about on and off the field successes like their thrilling Scottish Cup Campaign of reaching the third round...and some extra Instagram followers!
i wonder how many Instagram followers they will have when the circus leaves town?
I was hoping that Gr£tna 2008 would be next for relegation but it has to be this lot if they make it into next season.

100% correct. It's shite when people buy seats and then a few days later better seats are released. It's because of the debentures, unused hospitality, sponsors, tickets returned from club sides etc etc but it's still really annoying. Everything has been getting sold though and it's going to be packed to the rafters for both games.
Its not the debentures, we all had to pick our games in a 10 day window in December. (You used to be able to do it about a month before each game)
it can only be unused hospitality especially at this stage,

First time seeing Amy Canavan on the show, I thought she was very good, not afraid to speak up, contributed well and let's be honest anyone on the BBC payroll with an ounce of lower league knowledge should always stand out as a shining light against the usual suspects on Sportsound.
She sounded like she was reading from autocue at times, or is that just the way she speaks.

It was John Smith who was a director at Stirling Albion. He was also the president of the SFL and spoke out on Mileson giving money to the Berwick’s supporters’ trust.
With Grady i had assumed he was referring to Geoff Brown who spoke about them when they put us out of the cup in 06 and then kept going until the happy ending.
There were a lot of errors in that film on Friday. Grady seemed to think Saints strolled the last game of the season when it was a 4-3 game at Hamilton and im sure the lead was double figures at one point.
Very much a repeat of all the living the dream pish of the time.

I really enjoyed the Gretna/Brooks Mileson section. An interesting story. Looking forward to part two.
I personally thought it was one of the worst segments that's been done
Full of errors and facts that did not happen, James Grady just making stuff up "we had to match the St Johnstone result and they won easily , it was 4-3 and certainly not easy. The gap was into double figures and not 9 points etc
the whole thing just followed the BBC line of the time of the "living the dream" painting that clown Brooks Mileson in a good light. Would they do that with Craig White?
The only good bit was finding out Mileson paid out double bonuses for wins against Saints due to what Geoff Brown had said and who was proved to be correct in the end.
Im sure i will enjoy the second part of this better but wonder how airbrushed its going to be.

Meant to post earlier but i really enjoyed your game at Gala last weekend.
As a neutral either team could have won and good to see so many Cowdenbeath fans at the game.
Having followed the thread all season i kept an eye on your manager in the technical area. Bar a "same mistakes every week" comment after the first goal he was fairly reserved.

A bit of a surprise in the Thorntons cup last night with Letham winning 3-2 over East Craigie. I guess East Craigie have a lot bigger cups to think about just now.

Blairgowrie 0-5 Carnoustie
Carnoustie go top of the league with a performance that shows why they will most probably win the league.
Both keepers had great games and the score really should have been 2-7 or 3-8 based on missed chances or good saves
Its taken just over a year but thats me now done all 19 midland league grounds with my own rule it needed to be for a league game. Blair kept getting postponed or moving to a Friday when i was free to go there.

Pretty sure that wouldn't be legal
In what way would it not be legal
If a club chose not to respond to a request to take a player on loan or decided not to sign a player for reasons of his past , they just wont sign them.

You can have 3 stands (may occasionally be full of bigots)

I also think diddy clubs should be growing a backbone and enforcing a policy where their new signings agree they can't make a switch to the either of the Old Firm. If the club makes it perfectly clear to a new signing that 'if a team from England or abroad is interested and you want to speak to them, we won't stand in your way but you cannot join Celtic or Rangers from us whilst under contract' - it might help? I'm not sure if it would work in practise but it could be one way of stopping the OF from strengthening while simultaneously weakening the opposition.
There is a away to do this but in reverse.
Stop taking loans form these two clubs and also don't sign away player for a period of say up to 2 years after they have last played for either of those two clubs
2 hours ago, RandomGuy. said:I cant see many, if any, players agreeing to that.
You might we even encourage more young players to join them at youth level too, if they thought that was their only chance of playing for either.
If they knew by playing for either of those teams they either had to make the first team or be out of football for at least 2 years how many would risk it.

Im not that bothered if youre offended, but the point is, whats the most effective form of protest, starving an organisation of profit, ie boycotting, no fans at Hampden sends a pretty strong message.
And when do you see this happening?
All of the tickets for the games in 2023 are already sold.

I didn't realise that he just seems to have disappeared from football post-Millwall. Even viewed from outside, he seemed to have done a great job in Perth, and I assumed he was, at absolute worst, back in Ireland, managing Linfield or Glentoran or someone.
He sometimes pops up on Sky Sports Northern Ireland coverage on those Mondays when they dont have any English football to show.

How many Scottish cup semi finals have been played outwith Glasgow, before that and after? Not many.
Having got into football in the 1980's when the the semi finals tended to be 1 at Hampden and one at either Celtic Park, Dens or Tynecastle i had not realised in the 70's every other semi final was played at Hampden so your dad may have been right to be hacked off having to come to Perth.
Celtic Park, Dens and Tynecastle as well as East End Park, Easter Road and Ibrox were all used in the 90's until the debenture contact at Hampden required all semi finals to be played there.

He was right pissed at having to travel to Perth as we had all hoped the game would, and should, have been in Glasgow.
Perth was almost the same distance for both sets of fans to travel, Glasgow certainly would not have been.

The first thing the ICT fans should do is put a lot of pressure on the club to get rid of that clown Gardiner
He has failed at every single club he has been at, leaving a mess at Dundee, and stand with no seats at Hearts as well as being removed from post at Spurs and Rangers. How do these people keep getting jobs in football?
The cup quarter final on the BBC would be a good place to show the frustration the club has with the direction its going.

In the main the Perthshire teams in the EOS league are doing very well and there is no need for them to move to the Midland league
Jeanfield sitting second in the Premier with Lowland league ambitions
Luncarty and Kinnoull in or around the promotion places in the 1st Division with Luncarty already with a EOS cup this season
Only Newburgh are struggling a bit in the second and seem to have found their level.

Last on...again.
That game deserved to be 5th on of the 4 games on Saturday.
The first half in particular was as brutal as both sets of fans thought it would be in the match thread.

Yeah Amy is awful content on the podcasts and this.
Tony isn’t great on the show either (ok on podcasts) but he is a million times better than that random St Johnstone guy from last week.
The random St Johnstone fan is the deputy sports editor at the Courier and i thought was on par with all the other members of the cast so far.

Some grave digging going on with the Alan Storrar promotional video featured in this episode.
I helped film that in early 2018. it shows how much work does go into putting the show together and is another reason why this is not on every week in the season.
