  1. Pyunik are Armenian not Albanian. Stinker of a result regardless I took a punt at the abbreviation. Jablonec are like a Czech Motherwell or St Johnstone. about 2500 average gate and a stadium that holds 6000, usually mid-table and have the odd spike of finishing third but never close to winning the league. If the Armenian team are full time, its probably a reasonable result.
  2. Doolan is a good player but we signed him knowing what he offers unlike the others who we still had high hopes for. Doolan looks like the player Moore would be suited to, so until then I think he should be used in almost a rotation with Moffat
  3. Third round of fixtures this weekend. Plzen and Slavia are mirroring last seasons start by both winning the first three fixtures. Slavia are top on goal difference, thanks mainly to a 1-5 victory against Teplice. Sparta are currently in 10th, having only played twice but lost to Slovacko on the opening day. Bohemians had a decent win against Mlada Boleslav but have lost the other two games. In the Europa league, Jablonec are trailing to Pyunik from Albania after the first leg. Mlada Boleslav were 1-1 against Orbadasy of Kazakhstan Sparta will play Trabzonspor in the third qualifying round In the Champions league, Plzen drew with Olympiacos
  4. McCowan partnered well with Moffat up until Saturday. He played out left for an hour and his race was run by the time he was moved in to the middle and was hooked shortly after. playing three up front works with natural wingers playing wide. we played three strikers and asked two of them to go wide. I'd play Moffat and McCowan up front, with Forrest somewhere in behind. he plays well floating along the front line. Kerr, Kelly and Murdoch in the middle
  5. I thought when I saw the team, we are trying out something different against a lower league team we should beat, McCowan out wide, Ferguson at right back, no Muirhead or Kerr. Stranraer had all of the pressure straight away, quick breakaway and it was 1-0. Stranraer had lots of the ball but did nothing with it, we defended well enough but didn't have a forward pass for the majority of the first half. They scored from two corners which will be a big problem if it is not rectified quickly. They had men over every time we went forward and we didn't look like we had a plan B. Stranraer were well organised and killed the game, stopped us playing and scored twice from set-piece. They didn't counter attack but held the ball up and applied pressure. if they had a half decent forward we would have been in real trouble today. When Doolan went off I though, him and Moffat didn't work, then McCowan played through the middle with Moffat and it didn't work....then Forrest played.........By the time McCowan was moved through the middle his race was run. Doc, Murdoch and Kelly are to similar to play together. Ferguson cut back to often rather than trying to get past his man, McGuffie and Harvey did the same on the left. It didn't click today and hopefully it will give McCall a clearer view of what his starting formation should be. I think Doolan and Moore will be better together, McCowan is wasted out wide as is whoever from Kelly, Doc or Murdoch ends up playing on the other side. Kerr runs games and needs to set a tempo from kick-off either start him or leave him out the team.
  6. I called the people on here and twitter smug p***ks, who were having a go at the people who didn't know how the process worked because they had managed to work it out and everyone else must be idiots. Not people who were trying to help folk
  7. Do you have it visible in your account dashboard on the website? there should be a small eye icon you can click to show it.
  8. If you go on an organised pubcrawl you'll get ripped off and end up paying silly money for drinks and end up in Duplex nightclub with all the other stag dos wondering where all the women are. If you check Menzels Czech football thread in the other football chat forum, there are descriptions of where to check fixtures and get tickets. As virginton says, if you stay in an area like Zizkov or Prague 2, or over the other side of the river from the main centrum, decent bars are everywhere and you'll be looking under a quid of a beer. Irish pubs will show football but you'll pay about £5 a pint. They are full of wanks cocked out their heads shouting at each other. Anyone not on a stag do, this is probably the best bar to watch sports in Prague without getting harassed by a shower of wanks coked out their heads shouting at each other https://www.california-republic.cz/
  9. A young guy went in in front of me and the scanner made a different noise to when I went in
  10. I went to school with a guy nicknamed Mooncat. he was in the army cadets and spent his breaktimes climbing huge trees and sitting at the top of them. He ran everywhere. Someone saw him jumping behind trains at a railway crossing in Gatehead just outside Kilmarnock because he liked the draught. He died falling from rocks at Culzean castle. There was another guy who found a massive stash of porn mags in woods, hundreds of them. it took him 3-4 trips to get them all home and hidden in his mum and dads garage. he started to sell them at school and was known as Porn king, or PK for short. He got rumbled and ran away from school and decided the best way to destroy the evidence was to burn them all, which he did, still in his mum and dads garage.
  11. The club could have had volunteers out on Saturday outside the stadium asking people if they knew what they were doing and helping them, like they did at the London Olympics and the Commonwealth games. Trying to reduce frustrations and keeping things moving. Folk not knowing or getting confused and having to stand in a massive queue should have been expected. The assumption that all of our over 60 year old support know how to follow social media channels let alone buy a ticket online, print it out or show a QR code on a phone is a pretty big one. It is the way forward but there has to be an understanding that, for a Scottish football club, we cant leave fans behind because of technical advancement. The game its self was a decent match, Falkirk will probably be better than 30% of the teams in the league. A fairly robust team that will match the physical side of league 1 with a couple of decent footballers as well. Ayr got loads of space behind the fullbacks which we got both the goals from. Kelly looks like a good capture, very good on the ball, tired towards the end and will probably be inconsistent over the weeks and months but definitely a player there. McCowan has scored more than Shankland in as many games, here's hoping he keeps that up. Hard to make a call on Doolan, didn't have much to do but looks like the type of player that would link up well with Moore.
  12. The club could have had folk out in force on Somerset road advising them of what they needed to do, two guys in front of me tried to buy a ticket at the turnstile and didn't know they had to go to the shop. Folk didn't know clearly how it worked and I'm guessing that most of them decided, you know what, I'm just going to buy a ticket at the ground because I don't want to make an arse of trying to buy it on line or not having it right when they get to the gate. I managed it, but I'm not one of these smug arrogant p***ks who think anyone who didn't was a moron who hates the club, Or asking how the club could have done more, just because you knew and understood the process doesn't mean other people did. It is a new system, the club released a video the night before the game to explain the detail of how it worked, this should have been out weeks ago with reminders. assuming people will have watched the video or read the tweets on the day of the game was a gamble. In business you have to make it easy for people to give you money and I don't think the club did that yesterday.
  13. I did, the main total ticket page says I am not a registered user but I can log in to the Ayr page no problem.
  14. I have a season ticket, there is a link to the Ayr total ticket page on the email from that purchase. I bought a Falkirk ticket and there was no QR attached, I clicked the link on the conformation email and it took me to the main total ticket site. My login details didn't work and I couldn't reset my password. I found my season ticket confirmation email for my temporary password to try that and saw the link to the specific Ayr page, I tried that and my login worked on it no problem. there is an account dashboard where the QR code is visible
  15. The total ticket link on the email takes you to the main site and my login details didn't work, I had to go through the Ayr United ticket specific link and my login worked.
  16. I bought a ticket and there was no attachment, tried to log in to total tickets and it said my password was wrong, its the one I have saved in my browser, never changed it. tried the password reset link and its not sending me a link to a password re-set. Only a phone number to contact total tickets. I accept there will be teething problems but I hope the club haven't chosen some fly-by-night amateurs as partners on this.
  17. They'll be raging they missed out on lucrative Betfred cup group games
  18. Rudi Skacels Hearts top has been added to the Slavia museum bizarrely
  19. The Czech league starts back this weekend (they have a shut down mid Dec-Mid Feb) Sparta have changed managers again after a distant third place finish, Vaclav Jilek from Sigma Olomouc. they have brought in half a dozen new players, all Czech nationals with the most noticeable being Michal Travnik, a Czech international signed from Jablonec and former Lazio and Villa player Libor Kozak. Viktoria Plzen Also signed mostly Czech based players, Slovak Christian Herc is on loan from Wolves/ Slavia lost two influential players in the summer, Miroslav Stoch, the former Chelsea player who has mostly played in Turkey during his career, he signed for PAOK. Simon Deli, an Ivorian centre half who signed for Slavia in 2015 moves to Club Brugge. Moving to Slavia were Tomas Holes and David Hovorka from Jablonec, Jusef Hilal a Bahrain national, the first to play European football, who moved the short distance from Bohemians and Nicolae Stanciu, a former 10 million rated Romanian international who joined from Al-Ahli in Saudi for around £4 million. The Czech player of the year,Tomas Soucek signed a 4 year extension to his current deal, he and Alex Kral are probably two of the most valuable players in Czech football. Last night, Jablonec defeated Bohemians 2-0 in the opening fixture.
  20. Not really, the league site has an English section but it is pretty sparse, has live scores etc http://en.fortunaliga.cz/ https://www.fnliga.cz/ is the Second league The Goly z ligy app used to be good, gave you in match highlights during games but you have to pay for a premium service now, I watch most Slavia games when I am not there on dodgy streams. I've got the home top, I wanted the "Darth Vader" away top but it is in tight body form only and no one needs to see that
  21. Troon have announced a new management team replacing Jim Kirkwood. Former Ayr players John Baillie and Dean Keenan have taken over http://troonfootballclub.co.uk/index.php/2019/07/02/new-management-team-unveiled/
  22. Neilson is a terrible manager who struggled despite signing almost a whole new team in January and failed to get the best out of any of them. Shankland has the ability but it appears he needs a bit of nurturing that McCall seems to give the players to get his head right. Shankland could be a future Scotland player or the next Ryan Donnelly depending on how he is coached. Dundee United angered the football gods with the shithousery at the end of the season so I hope they get the Shankland that was hunted from Aberdeen, St Mirren, Morton and Dunfermline and have to pay him a fortune for three years.
