  2. Recently read: The Stranger by Albert Camus The Trial by Franz Kafka The Plague by Albert Camus Portnoys Complaint by Philip Roth Amerika by Franz Kafka I am currently reading Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison. Unexpectedly found some of the dialogue rather amusing:
  3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-49405759 Ben Unwin is away. He'll never be home again.
  4. You could get approached by dodgy foreign agents and offered a player. The more I think about that game, I get the urge to look for it. I'm sure I've still got it somewhere. It would be a good laugh to play it again.
  5. I've never seen Hare-Reid play but I've read that he usually plays well in the reserve games. If Doohan is unavailable then Hare-Reid deserves a chance to play in that match. Ferguson can play LB and Ecrepont is a natural in that position. We should be able to still field a decent team even with players missing due to call-ups.
  6. I was a huge fan of Alex Ferguson's Player Manager 2000. Absolutely sensational. Aw man, the memories! Was there not the option to edit kits and the stadium in-game? I remember you could take out massive loans from the bank. I borrowed 100m and signed Zidane and other high-profile players for Ayr United. I was only ten at the time and didn't realise that I had to pay the money (plus a ridiculous amount of interest) back! That save soon ceased being fun.
  7. The mobile/touch versions of the game can be more "fun". I think I played the Touch version of FM2017 more than the full version.
  8. Current Scotland manager Steve Clarke is a vocal advocate of not washing your hands after taking a tom tit.
  9. Sometimes the collective effort of a team trumps supposedly "better" teams. I'd rather we had a team who plays well as a unit and is organised than be relying on a couple of good players to carry the team.
  10. My great-aunt did a lot of research into the history of the paternal side of the family, and my maternal grandfather researched his side. Both sides were traced back to some time in the 18th century, It was quite interesting. It turns out I'm descended from Irish and German immigrants on the paternal side, and people who fought for and against the Jacobite cause on the maternal side (the ones who were against the Jacobite cause were of Clan Campbell, who were known for being bad b*****ds).
  11. A google search for the Banks O'Dea game shows that it's correct answer. I forgot about that game.
  12. And when was the last time three players scored doubles in the same match?
  13. I have a lot of friends who support Kilmarnock. I don't hate Kilmarnock and was actually pleased for them that they had a good season last season. I struggle with the idea that I should actively hate a football club, considering that no football club has ever done anything to me personally to deserve my hatred.
  14. I am a heterosexual male and enjoy cooking.
  15. Great photos! And happy birthday! I've always had a soft spot for the Faroe Islands football team. I will need to visit there some day, and hopefully catch some games!
  16. People talk about Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, but my favourite player was Arjen Robben. For all his flaws (he was ridiculously one-footed and could be very selfish) he was brilliant to watch and I loved watching him play.
