Motherwell vs St Mirren

Apart from Hladky, but Magennis is excellent. He would get a game for most teams in the league. -

Any early season optimism has probably evaporated. We're not dreadful, we've completed in every game but we've hardly troubled any team we've played. -

Agree with both those two. Both are capable of playing at a higher level and I'm sure re both will. If Magennis keeps improving he could go on he a regular in the English top flight. Looking at him Kenny McLean and John McGinn at the same stage and he's as good as either were at that age. I'd say number 3 is Kyle McAllister. He's a bit of an enigma and doesn't have the consistency to start every game, but when he's on form he's something else. -

Spot on. In January we might see a couple of players going out and coming in but it'll be nothing like having to move on a dozen players to make way for half a new team. I still reckon there's a good chance we can start getting goals. There are no stand out goal scorers but Mullen is capable of bagging a few, Magennis, McAllister are bound to chip in with some. Possibly Cooke too when he's fit again. I'm still hopeful that Morais and Obika can find their shooting boots. -
St Mirren v Hearts

Based on what we've seen so far I'd go for that. It's still relatively early to make a real judgement. Neither have been a total disaster, both like to put it about a bit and are giving plenty effort. I still have hope that they can come good. At the moment I think Mullen has to start though. There's been a difference when he comes on. Where Morais has been giving away cheap fouls Mullen is able to draw fouls. I suppose that just comes from having played more games at this level. I also feel that Mullen has the ability to hit a shot from outside the box and score. Not seen anything from the other two yet to suggest they have that. -

Right result. Neither team did enough to win the game. I said the same last week but I think Mullen needs to start. From what I've seen he's our best striker. -

Exactly. And to be honest that's forgivable, I was more wondering why Claire Whyte felt the need to state that a yellow was the correct decision. -

I'm curious as to what the yellow card was for. If there was any intent then it's a red, no question. If it was accidental then why book him? -

Exactly. We've also sat in against teams this season. -

Bit of sour grapes from Goodwin in his interview giving it the 'I wouldn't want my team to play that way'. Truth is we didn't deserve to win. We had 15 shots on goal according to BBC and 2 on target, 0 which troubled Fon Williams. -

Laughable decision from the ref. It didn't even look like a foul. I wonder if he realised that Oakley should've been off in the first half and took his opportunity. -

Morais will be in the book within the first 5 mins of the second half. As I said I have some sympathy with him, but he needs to be smarter. I'd be tempted to replace him with Mullen fairly soon. -

We've been on top but not created enough. Never a penalty, although I have some sympathy with Morais because any time he has gone near Stubbs the ref has given a foul. One just after the penalty shout was laughable. Oakley should've been off for his challenge on Flynn too. -

Why would we have been entitled to anything? Not saying you're wrong, I genuinely don't know why we'd have been due any money. My guess is that Stubbs' 'very good offer' would've actually been a shite offer for anyone who knew anything about Ross Stewart, which is why I added 'take from that what you will'. -

I seem to remember Stubbs saying that Ross County made a very good offer. Take from that what you will. -

I'd be inclined to start Mullen here. Obika and Morais haven't looked overly impressive so far. It's a bit early to judge I suppose, certainly early to judge Morais. I also think Andreu needs to start. He's a clever player that can be a match winner, and everyone loves a goal against their old team. -

I'm always keen to have a pop at Stubbs, although it's possible that Stewart needed that season in the Championship. He'd been out on loan in league 1 when we won the Championship so it would've been a big jump to go straight to the Premiership. Stubbs problem was that he got rid of Reilly and Stewart yet only brought in Cody Cooke. I read on twitter that Stewart has 7 goals and 2 assists in his last 10 games. That's unreal. I'm happy to see him doing well, albeit I'd prefer if it wasn't against us. -

I thought at the time he was offside but wasn't sure if he touched it. I looked at the linesman straight away and it took him a good 30 seconds to put his flag up. I assume he was discussing with the ref whether or not Obika did touch it. Bit frustrating, but as I said before we deserved what we got in the end by punting high balls into the wind and inviting more and more pressure. -

Infuriating. Don't know if County quite earned a win but we deserved to lose as for the last 10 mins we just hoofed the ball into the wind and invited pressure. Crazy from us. -

That's quite interesting as when he was with us, admittedly he was just a young guy, but I'd have said the exact opposite. He had a decent touch and was good on the ball, but he got bullied too easily. It's possible I'm misremembering. I thought Rae was wrong to get rid of him at the time though. -

Stelios? I liked Ross Stewart, and as others have said he was a work in progress. Sums up Stubbs' reign punt a promising young player out and don't replace him. I'm really looking forward to the game. Get a few pints in Inverness before hand then maybe one or two in the Mallard. Great day out. -

Put to one side that it's Morton and it's a good move for all involved I'd say. I think Baird was unlucky not to start against Hibs. McLoughlin was (to me at least) a bit of an unknown quantity. Can't fault McLoughlin he's been excellent, but if Baird had started he might have played well and kept his spot. Baird will be one of the best defenders in that division. Fast, strong, good in the air. I imagine he'll walk straight into Morton's starting 11. I noticed Dundee Utd are still playing that clown Connolly. They could've done worse than bring Baird in.
