  1. Havent seen anything on here that conclusively "proves that its a pile of shite"...anyway let you stick to the subjective and opinionated " never having seen a good game on it"
  2. Peculiar that hundreds of cancer cases in the US have been linked to the toxic rubber crumbs...surely there must be safer alternatives?
  3. not all studies have been fully disclosed due to some of the personal content but nonetheless there are major concerns and until there is conclusive evidence on their safety we should be very wary...
  4. Its called humour mate lol and thought you would have understood that word being a Killie supporter!
  5. Well sorry mate to disappoint but were you at the centre of the studies carried out in Europe??...
  6. Was that said with an element of tongue and cheek?!..wish Kris all the best and hadn't seen him for a few years but he doesn't look very fit to me if you get my drift?!!
  7. Rumour has it that these pitches help their teams park the bus better?!!!...
  8. What also scares me is that there were some serious studies carried out a few years ago about how toxic these pitches are...hydrocarbons, mercury ,lead and all sorts of other chemicals which give rise to cancer?!...why are we allowing our youths to be exposed to these elements??..oh, yes commercial viability should always be ahead of health?!!
  9. The powers that run our game are quick to introduce all sorts of bizarre criteria and seem to have over looked one of the fundamentals...the feckn pitch!!!
  10. Glens did well to recover after gifting two very soft goals and hopefully they can improve defensively otherwise their shakey defence could be their achilles heel...that being said I would be more worried if I was a Kilbirnie supporter as aside from their dominance in the opening 20 minutes they were pretty ineffective.
  11. Be interesting to see how Glens do in the Premier league?...thought they may have added a couple of other defenders?..how have the new additions looked?
  12. Unsure if it was due to injuries or what but the Kilbirnie defence was rock solid and think the Glens may struggle in that department unless they have players out?!
  13. Quality player-should be quite an asset to the Glens!
  14. Was it only me or did anyone else question our bench yesterday?...all strikers apart from Gibby...are we now short in midfield?...no Kindlan(maybe injured again?)...feel like a record that's got stuck but could do with some real experience in the middle of the park as don't think young Calvin is anywhere near ready for a run in the team!
  15. Only one team in the league with a worse record over the last 5 games than us??..yes,its Albion....ominous signs with performances dropping off since the promising signs earlier in the season! Whats happened to the difficult to beat mentality?
  16. Yip,all down to opinions...hes never done it for me-too wee and no presence and just reminds me of a wee lost terrier chasing an elusive bone! We have been needing a bigger more athletic mid-fielder to dominate this area for quite some time and someone who can bring out the best in their teammates through their drive and leadership.Thats the DNA that I would be asking my scouts to focus on when identifying potential new recruits...not saying its easy to find this type of player but its such an important position within the team and for me Jambo despite his credentials falls well short.
  17. That's 2 decent midfielders left in recent weeks..Fotheringham & Lachlan!....imo don't think either was given a chance by new manager which is bizarre as midfield has been average at best. Lachlan has gone back to Lowland league outfit Cumbernauld where he was POY last year and no doubt Gregor has either got a team lined up or will find one very quickly...really didn't expect these two to be casualties and from what ive heard our Mgr is a very poor communicator with those that are on the periphery of the team. Cant imagine there will be too many players available to replace these two from the Jan sales and also what happens if we lose a couple more to higher league clubs?
  18. Anybody else feel the same that this League 2 is rank rotten and that Edinburgh City and Peterheid are the best of a very average bunch...shame we had to change Managers as think Gus"s experience and his knowledge of the squad he assembled would have taken us further up the league. Nothing against Roberts but just think Gus could get more out of a squad...only time will tell but IMO we have gone off the boil both defensively which could in part be due to enforced changes and in mid-field where I still think we are searching for a better blend. For me McKernon is very average and flatters as he runs around chasing shadows and likes nothing better than punting upfield like they do in the Juniors and Roberts has potential but positionally is weak and tends to take too many touches..so both for me are technically deficient in an area where we have previously excelled.Maybe an additional player in CM at the expense of a wide man would help as being played through too easily. We need to start winning again soon or we will find ourselves spiralling further down towards the relegation pit!
  19. Lol..only adding to what an earlier poster had said about Lachlan leaving...if both these rumours are true then IMO something isn't quite right as both have featured this season and both done well. Smart and Lachlan can play various positions and that has to be an asset for any squad or maybe they are fed up with either lack of opportunity or being played out of their natural roles.Hope these rumours are just that as both have shown that they can easily play at this level.
  20. Heard Smart Osadolar has also left the club?...if true that him and Gavin have left that doesn't sound good as only in Dec and players already disenchanted.
  21. Actually think Kindlan & Lachlan deserve game time at some point as both have performed well this season and don't think the midfield has been great over last couple of games...if we cant dominate that area against the bottom sides then we may struggle against the better teams.
  22. Think Manager called it right,we were clinical albeit Rovers were better than I expected or were we just a bit slack which made them look ok. Still another 3 points in the bag when you don't play great is very welcome.Thought our subs contributed and Smart maybe unlucky not to start after knocking in a hat-trick for the reserves and although East laid on the first goal he was poor for the rest of game..also, wondered if Lachlan may have been preferred over Fotheringham.
  23. IMO Ek outplayed City for most of game and aside from some poor EK defending there was only one team that deserved to progress...City were very one dimensional playing lots of long punts which is typically league 2 footy.
  24. CCs are another great example of a really well run community club and imo have a bright future. Think their recruitment this year is better than last and albeit I’ve only seen them once this year I was very impressed. Agree they could finish top 3-4 but just need to see if they can keep up their promising start.
  25. Pretty sure there’s goals in this squad and once the team settles down to playing teams of more equal standard we will see more chances being created. So far I’ve liked the look of those forwards that have been used and they all seem to bring something different to the game. We will just need to wait and see who is preferred up front and whoever it is will need good supply from both the middle of the park and the wide players.
