Never an easy trip and a good 3 points on the board.

Great result but very worrying for Selkirk to lose by such a margin. How can a team who got to league cup final and finish 5th last year be so poor?..huge job in hand and only team last year to lose by such a margin got relegated..too good a club and hope they get sorted.

Opening games of the season can throw up some surprise results but can’t see EK losing this one..hoping for at least a 3 goal margin victory to put down an early marker.

Why not try Bradley Walsh,knocking on a bit now(pushing 60ish) and better known for his acting ability but sure he could still play the part of a wayward footballer desperate to play with like minded desperados..hope your season is the usual big disappointment!!

Gus and his team appear to have assembled a right good squad with a decent blend of young hungry boys and a few older heads who are maybe late bloomers. So far think he’s used his squad schrewdly and still some to return from injury and get up to speed. Been really impressed with the squads fitness levels and no signs of weariness as games progress to latter stage. Like other contributors have highlighted there have been many excellent individual performances however for me the defence so far has stood out and no real surprise about Gibby and McLaughlan who are tried and tested but both full backs have been excellent.Dont know who can replace Lachlan at RB as the other night he just got better and better as the game went on...he must be one hell of a midfielder.On the other flank Summers is maybe more offensive but deserves great credit for his contribution todate.

Forgot about Dom McLaren...is he not a CB? Or am I mistaken...

Pretty impressive for so early in the season. GK and defence looked really solid and thought Lachlan performed really well at RB when think he’s actually a central midfielder...must be short of RBs but very able stand-in. Midfield blend is definitely a work in progress. Although strikers didn’t net any goals very encouraging signs and on another night could have scored one or two.

Think QP could surprise a few teams this year as impressed with some of the trialists...don’t have a clue who they are but promising signs and fitness levels looking good albeit still very early doors. Cumb Colts also impressed and played some very attractive footy..good advert for Lowland league.

Anything other than winning the league this year will be an absolute disaster...so far ahead of everyone else at this stage of preseason that maybe uve peaked too early?!

Absolutely spot on Haufdaft...ownership of an asset is a million times better than having 3rd dibs on a council facility!

Good news,as a fit Liam is quite an asset and hope he regains his fitness and form.

May have escaped you but that so-called “diddy team” Cumbernauld Colts hold the lease over Broadwood and you guys have maybe second or even 3rd shout behind a rugby outfit when it comes to using this facility...so bit of respect instead of such an arrogant attitude!

Very hard to gauge on last nights performance...premier league team with most of last years squad plus some new additions. QPs first outing of preseason with very few from last seasons squad...will defo take time for Gus to sort out his preferred team.Now is not the time to be lambasting either individuals abilities or fitness as this will surely only improve as the squad complete all their preseason efforts. Spider1867 has already judged players on one outing which is grossly unfair and IMO his assessment is somewhat prehistoric and he obviously doesn’t appreciate formations,tactics and technical abilities. Sounds like he just wants everybody to run about at 100mph without any thought about how unrealistic that is and the potential consequences. Appreciate we all have different opinions but think if nothing else a bit of patience is needed...it was the first outing of the season against a full time pro premier league team...get real did u expect QP to give them the run around?!

Hopefully from 1st July we start to hear about some signings and would hope to hear about some preseason friendlies other than the CCs one at Broadwood a week on Saturday.

Could be just what Spartans needed as they seemed to win a lot of games by the odd goal and think this season will be even more competitive.

Hes got potential but IMO still too raw to hold down a regular spot at a higher level...pretty sure Gus will attract a more finished version!
