I have had the misfortune to drive along the length of the M8 several times in the last week. Why did the bother making it a three lane motorway when everyone sits in the middle fckn lane?
The first game of football that I went to was the 6-0 game. Can't remember too much about as was four but the scoreline stuck in my mind for some reaso. Coincidentally the first Scotland game I went to they beat Finland 6-0.
It might not have been the most painful but it was certainly the most surprising injury I have sustained. I was getting dressed one morning a put on a sock only to be stung on the big toe by a b*****din' wasp that had taken refuge in the sock whilst it was hanging up to dry. Much cries of anguish followed.
Cycled from Dunbar to Newcastle yesterday. 108 miles and 4850 feet of climbing. The majority of the route past Berwick was all stony tracks and pretty shite to cycle along. Not helped by the two punctures I got. The last bit into Newcastle was not helped by a headwind. The train we got back was only 5 1/2 hours late which put a bit of a damper on the day.
Back on topic, four of us are cycling from Dunbar to Newcastle in a couple of weeks time. 110 miles or thereabouts. Once we cross the border it looks pretty flat so hopefully the sun will be shining and a breeze coming from the North.
Cycled almost 30 miles with 1966 feet of climbing through the glorious East Lothian countryside. There is one hill going out of Spott which for the first time i got up without stopping. Chuffed as fck.
Cycled from Livingston to Edinburgh today via Kirknewton and Balerno. Headwind all the way. What has happened to the wind blowing west to east as it should?
For all of you that use hand driers in public toilets; you do know that all you are doing is covering your hands with all the germs that populate these places. Chances are your hands were cleaner going in than they were when you came out.
I cycled from the RAH in Paisley back to Queen Street station yesterday. Only 12 miles or so but the first 6 are on cycle paths. The cycle along Paisley Road West was interesting. A mixture of pot holes and rush hour traffic. All in all good to get some miles in after the crap weather.
