Scotland Vs Northern Ireland
PrestersKTID replied to Claudia Gentile's topic in Tartan Army Ramblings
Pretty embarrassing. Thank god it’s no a competitive game. although they were never scoring until patterson gifted the opener. since then we’ve been shocking, wide open but getting no joy going forward. add into it an injury to our best player. love a friendly -

Ferguson plays in the Mctominay role imo and he’s not playing ahead of him. -
Will you ever see your club win a cup?
PrestersKTID replied to DA Baracus's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Seen us win the Scottish in 1997 and the league cup in 2012. Another couple league cup finals in that time that we won't go into. No Scottish semi final since we last won it is a poor record we'll need to fix sooner rather than later. Not sure we'll ever win another trophy but live in hope, we've had 30 odd year barren spells before. Happy i got to see the 2 i did. -
Ffs played so well first half and completely chucked it in the second. Shows the difference when you have players who can finish
-
Could’ve had 4 or 5 tonight. Finishing been brutal

Bloody unfair this.

Proper sitter from shankland

This for me, patterson the weak link in what was a pretty good first half performance. must’ve ran the ball out of play 4 times not even under pressure. all we needed was a goal. Clarke always tries to limit opposition to long shots only, typical that they score a 25yarder. Should’ve been closed down a bit more and Gunn maybe could’ve done better. Mctominay booking was harsh but he’s had about 5/6 fouls since, needs off for Ferguson before he’s sent off.

It's no surprise that Clarke uses Dykes and Adams before thinking about a Shankland. They are workhorses, put themselves about and do a job getting back. Same as when previous managers selected Miller, Naismith for example who worked their arses off every game. Not saying shankland won't do that but i don't think he's got the engine for it. That being said i'd like to see how shankland deals with the Dutch from the start but realistically he's a great option to bring off the bench with 10/20 left when we need a goal.

Was never likely that we'd get Gordon. To be honest unless there is someone really outstanding i don't think Clarke will be massively fussed in upsetting the current squad. We're a good team and have matchwinners. The only main issue was Goalkeeper and Gunn is our best option now. The only other area i think we're getting light in is on the wing, The christie, armstrong role. That's something that Gordon would've helped with but no a big deal. England have ridiculous depth to choose from, that's the only hope for the other home nations, that players get overlooked and happen to have a connection to another country. One thing England are doing atm is tying players down, Gordon and Mainoo both can play for other countries but are getting capped now, neither will start at euros over the other options.
-
He'll go imo but won't start, can certainly do a job but not getting the crazy clamour for him. Hanley from what i hear won't make the Euros. Defenders for me will be Robertson, Tierney, Hickey, Patterson, Hendry, Porteous, Mckenna and Souttar. Clarke might supplement with a Cooper or Taylor but i'd rather we Bolstered elsewhere.
-
Consistent selection. Gordon was always going to come in. Would've liked him to try someone new though these games are a good opportunity to see if we're missing something. Shame that Doak and Barnes both injured, we have few good wide forward options in the squad.

Don’t know why we don’t just play in the 150th anniversary kit. that home kit looks like a training top, quite smart but not very Scotlandy imo.

Celtic v Kilmarnock

Point was the least we deserved. and could’ve won it at the end. Poor finishing from Murray. can’t believe how much Celtic have dropped since last season. -

My first was born in November, wee boy. Massive shock to the system but we've been lucky that he's fairly chill... most of the time, has his moments though. Ridiculous how much development he's had in the last 11/12 weeks. Every day is something new. -
