  1. Sounds like a good performance again against the league leaders. Was Liams injury a bad one? He’s not getting a break this season!
  2. I live 15 mins away and my golf course is closed. Cant see it being on unless the rain eases up massively.
  3. I think that’s harsh. We’ve not had a back four made up of defenders this season. Weve lost most of our goals and lost/drawn games because of our lack of discipline rather than any player. None of the reds were for violent conduct or anything, all born from having midfielders playing at the back and leaving us a bit exposed. Not a slight at all as the players are doing everything they can. Just need a bit of luck on the injury front and we’ll start to motor. Still confident of a top 6 place.
  4. Don’t worry pal that will change. Once we get a defence on the park we’ll start winning games. EK for me have been head and shoulders above every other team we’ve played. Nothing in it between all the rest except maybe Gretna. I thought the Uni were decent against us but we did play with 10 men for half the game. Well come good. Scoring and creating chances just need to shore up the back line.
  5. Come on now. You aren’t going to be a team we are going to hate with Bo’ness, Tranent and East Kilbride in here. Looking forward to putting your gas at a peep in a month or so though.
  6. To be fair Liam Alison and Gary Thom aren’t far away from fitness and those two in the past have been rarely injured. We’ll be a different team with those two in there at CB with Webb as cover too but I would like to see us sign a CB proven at this level. We’ve done well to get the points we have with our defensive woes this season.
  7. We signed him as a defensive mid. He’s excellent in there. On of the best I’ve seen at this level. Too rash to be a centre back I would say. He played midfield if we have our full squad ready. I’ve said before but our weakness is at CB. If we fixed that one position we’d be a different team.
  8. Skinner is a defensive midfielder filling in as a defender.
  9. Didn’t make the game today but on the face of it a good result. I feared the worst when I seen the starting 11. Only 1 defender there (Thomson) as we continue with a. Patchwork defence. Will take that!
  10. Was Big Dan Baur VS Sauchie. He was gutted he did it, took his punishment and he was rightly condemned.
  11. Calm the beans lads. Losing away to Cowdenbeath in extra time is disappointing but not a shocker of a result. They are two points behind us in the league and there was nothing in it. Tough draw but that happens. We are struggling to get a team strong enough on the park at this level just now and that’s football. We’ve come a long way being disappointed being knocked out by a team with your history. Old rules you’d be coming down to us Tuesday night - I miss the replays! We’ll come again, still finding our feet at this level. Hail the Gallant!
  12. Thought Whitburn were superb especially in the first half. Enjoy your night lads. Rose were poor but we didn’t deserve anything. Great to see you in the way up even if it’s at our expense!
  13. The equivalent of playing Champ Man in 98/99 and giving yourself £100m. I think I could win the league with this sort of money but let’s hope like Darvel they fall flat on their face at some point.
  14. When it reaches that stage it’s pretty much anyone can go up or down. Great problem to have as a league!
  15. Well this might just be a first Dave, you’re spot on! Happy to finally see the Rose as part of it and it’s exciting thinking who the next 5 or 6 promotions/relegations bring as they’ll all be as competitive as the teams we have already. Going to be some league in 4 or 5 years!
  16. Thought we were excellent tonight all over the park. Heaver in particular was outstanding and if Sandy had had his shooting boots on her could have had 4 or 5 himself. Hail the Gallant!
  17. We’re both wrong. Last man was sending off when denying a goal scoring opp in the box. Which is now a yellow if attempting to win the ball. For some bizarre reason refs are now deeming if it’s a 20 yards shot and it’s just outside the box that’s a red even if in the seconds after 2 defenders could move across and block. It’s a shambles of a rule imo.
  18. As frustrating as it is but the letter of the law both are red cards. Just where we are just now as we are playing midfielders in defence. A bit unlucky! Webb was the only one yesterday who is a starting defender with MacPherson, Thom, Alison and Thomson all injured or not fit to play . That’s some injury list 4 games in.
  19. The rule has changed. It’s denying a goal scoring opportunity not last man. Hate the rule.
  20. It’ll take a bit of time for the players and management to get used to playing up at this level week in week out. Of course there’s a few who think we should just steamroller the league again but really with the exception of 1 or 2 teams who were out there depth last year there were no mugs in this league. Pick ourselves up and go again Saturday!
  21. Doesn’t get much better than that. Will be two huge crowds!

  23. I think we’ll see the first picks in the league and Scottish with fringe players in the other cups. You can’t go through a season with 11 players!
  24. Alison and Wallace are the two missing. I’d expect Wallace and Brash to head out on loan but I think we’ll need a decent sized squad this season to cope with the level up.
  25. I think there’s still Sauchie, Musselburgh, Jeanfield, Dunbar, Whitburn and Armadale to come (latter two have connected with the community and we’re as big as all the others 20 years ago). I agree on Berwick but I think the rest will fall to a lower tier in the next decade.
