  1. We do. Kimpioka and Sidibeh are unknowns but both are huge individual threats (Kimpioka in particular makes chances all the time out of nothing if he's 1v1), Nicky Clark remains clinical, and then there's Stevie May. We just don't set up to use it. Since January, when we signed Kimpioka/Sidibeh to add pace, we've just sat in our shell and pelted long balls over them. The one change could be if Wright and Jaiyesimi are both fit. That gives us natural wingers and 4-4-2 with those two on the sides and any of the 4 strikers up front completely changes us (see our win at Pittodrie) into one that can score/create. It all falls apart if any of the two wingers can't play though.
  2. I imagine they'll use him like a lower league Nouble, playing off the left.
  3. Just had newly laid turf down, and trying to figure out a "routine" to keep the grass growing as moss/weeds took over the garden before. About a quarter struggles to get sun and just goes mossy/weedy and then takes over the garden, so ideally trying to avoid that. Seen comments you're meant be put grass seed on those areas during the winter to try and prevent that?
  4. There's a difference between "using a budget well", and requiring a club threatening level of budget to have success, IMO. Relegation for Clyde would've disastrous, relegation for Clyde after McCalls spending would've killed them. It was all or nothing for them after January. I've, perhaps unfairly, always tagged him as a "junkie" manager. By that I mean clubs will risk a lot for the quick high he might give them, but ultimately the longer he's there the more he's fucking you up longer term, and the longer/harder the recovery will be. I can see why he's appealing to those struggling and only suffering lows.
  5. 11th/12th down. 1st up. 2nd v 3rd in a play off. I think that's the ideal? It seems too easy for absolute shite in the top flight to stink the place out for years by simply spawning a win v a Championship side who overthink it every few years.
  6. They should be that intense for us, which will encourage opponents to match it. Livingston are always like that, the County game is huge, then Motherwell as a club have a strange hate on us for Bair being shite at us and I'm 99% certain will be desperate to put us in the play off with him starring. Either way you could be out on your arse and still hit the final with more intensity than us. Confidence is completely gone from the squad while yours will just increase.
  7. Yes. Partick play on the 10th, 14th, 17th, then 23rd, 26th for the Final. We play 11th, 15th, 19th, then 23rd, 26th for the Final. Quite how Partick would be getting less recovery time and playing more matches in the build up is a confusing one, for sure. I still think the play offs should be 2nd v 3rd, as that leaves everyone on 38 games before the final. Involving the side who finishes 4th in a 10 team division is what makes 3rd have to play more games in total.
  8. Never understand why your fans are so desperate for McCall. His "miracle" job at Clyde this season has them paying more money for loan players than you are.
  9. MacPherson and Phillips are arguably our best CM pairing tbf. I mean it's shite and there's flaws everywhere, but it's better than Max/Carey/Smith(either) in there beside Phillips, who's either half arsed or half fit or both. If Spranglers able to play then that changes.
  10. Levein talking about pre-season maybe means he's already spoken to the new owner and expects to stay on? Cammy MacPherson is the current great hope to transform our season, and it looks like he'll be offered a deal if Levein stays.
  11. He played against us a few weeks ago and looked fit as anything, and still mobile/agile enough. Only issue is he's likely at a stage where his legs could do over a Summer break etc. Harpers been linked to half the top flight and League One sides down south, be surprised if he stays in this division. Is Lewis Strapp a free agent? Think he's the likeliest to stay at this level next season?
  12. Levein on Saturday morning - "we're going to go for it, nothing to lose now, we need wins" Line up Kirk picks Mitov Keltjens - McGowan - Gordon - Considine - Gallacher M. Smith - Phillips - Max - C. Smith Kimpioka
  13. We hired Steve Lomas, who's only previous experience was somewhere between the 7th and 9th tier of English football, and he took us to 3rd in the top flight. A good manager is a good manager.
  14. Forster was a colossus though, physically. I won't say it's easy but all he needed was agility then you've got a monster of a keeper due to his size. I'll die on the hill that Kelly is too small and unimposing to ever be a top Scottish level keeper, and I don't think there's any way you can improve that now.
  15. Was there not someone on WAP who was convinced he was a superstar and then went on a massive rant when everyone called him shite and unfit?
  16. Aye Fraser comparison wasn't a direct one as a LCB, just a "these centre backs are playing a similar style (aerial more than ground/progressive passes rather than simple etc.), so it likely means Bedeau is either in a system similar to your own, or he plays a similar way. Either way he seems like a good fit for your defence while also being a good player.
  17. Liam Kelly crossing the Old Firm divide isn't something I thought his ability would ever justify happening.
  18. It kind of looks like he's been playing as a more attacking full back than a CB, or as the attacking CB in a 3? Linfield being dominant in games a lot probably means he doesn't have to do a huge amount of defensive work too. It's always hard to tell with players from NI/ROI, as much like Australia there seems to be a big drop off in quality within the division so the best teams players always look good in possession/attack.
  19. For me its 100% a mentality thing with Real Madrid in the Champions League. Over the past decade its gone up a notch and the sheer aura of playing them in the latter stages seems to just overwhelm clubs because you know they'll magick something up to drag themselves through. Dortmund could win against them if they play their best, but can they beat Real Madrid in a Champions League Final?
  20. Id be interested to see how Grainger got on if he took charge. Hes been mentioned in relation to our (hopefully soon vacant) managers position and he does kind of fit the bill of where we've had success before. Done really well (relatively) and is praised for his style of play and use of youth players.
  21. @ATLIS sorry I don't have Sole, way WyScout structures the North/South divisions means he gets missed out as it groups them and only lets me download the top 500 by minutes and he misses out. This is Clarke FWIW. Sure I've noticed before that Martindale seems to love CBs who score high on the "goal threat" section. Interesting hes played LB/LWB a fair bit too?
  22. Remains a good, well rounded, LCB. "Style wise" it compares him to Marcus Fraser and Richard Taylor, if that means anything.
  23. I think we'll be going with a younger squad next season so won't have any interest.
