  1. It's not even comparable considering Sunderland were a complete c**t of a club at the time and no manager with a brain cell would touch them.
  2. Praise the Lord for corrupt Italians. Give me Jason Naismith, Greg Tansey, Matty Willock, George Williams and Alex Schalk and ill be a happy man. I don't ask much.
  3. Tbf to me I only described three midfielders of my "dream team"
  4. Yup, I think his performances have been completely hamstrung by being played out of position. To me hes almost identical to Swanson in style, and should be played in a similar role. Worth noting Wright was signed and described as "pacey and powerful", so my dream of Swanson - Scougz - O'Halloran, might sort of come true, in an odd way.
  5. If Holt and O'Hara are the "physical players" Jack Ross has mentioned as wanting to sign for the top flight, hes in for a shock.
  6. Someone posted this on WAP. Sounds like Sadford might have himself a boo boy next season.
  7. Still wouldn't write Barca off, mind you
  8. Surely all this should be sorted out before the season ends?
  9. That would be a complete waste of everyone's time, including his, so I've no idea how you can believe that.
  10. You're deluding yourself. He could be offered a four year deal worth around £2m with a signing on bonus worth hundreds of thousands. I don't know anything about him or his family to know their situation, but I'd be surprised if they turned it down. Knowing women, I doubt he'd even be having interviews if they hadn't agreed he could move down there.
  11. Please don't suggest our model is even remotely close to Countys. We cut our budget year on year and support losses through a huge pot of money we've built up over decades. Countys losses, over £800k in a good year, are completely wiped out by the chairman's personal fund, and their third choice striker is on over £5k a week. Theyve used about forty players in ever top flight season, and regularly buy double figures worth of players in January if things aren't going well.
  12. Tbf he's getting pelted from all corners about his "dreadful season" we've just had, and is publicly citing any positives he can.
  13. Worth noting his Ipswich wage could very well be more than their current combined wage. Stevie May more than quadrupled his wage when he left us, and got a signing on fee near £100k.
  14. Transfer budgets mean nothing to Rangers, you know that.
  15. Isn't Caulker more likely with the Gerrard connection?
  16. Assume it's to be second choice. Not convinced he's any better than Hurst.
  17. Yes, you've rumbled me, I didn't mean to write "dough time". It's frustrating when there's people with your intellect around to help point out errors. Damn you.
  18. That was all paid for as part of a deal to sell land we owned. See how it works, you sell things you have to help get new things. Sensible.
  19. McGregor hasn't built anything. Hes created a youth structure and squad that is completely and utterly unsustainable, and a young fanbase who expect top flight football. What happens when he leaves, County have to rely solely on their income, and they drop to becoming a mid-table Championship side? All that turns to dust. At least the fans got a trophy to take from it, theres been plenty of clubs spending way beyond their means who didnt manage that.
