Wild unsubstantiated rumour thread for this pish type post coming up. Apparently O'Halloran was told he'd be getting a second chance at Rangers under Gerrard. The photo of him at the Final, and resultant fan pressure, has taken the chance away from him. Over the past few days, Rangers have offered him the chance to negotiate a pay off to release him, but he's refused to talk about it. Rangers want about £300k-£400k for him, which is close to what his remaining contract costs. I'm not overly unconvinced offering £250k wouldn't be accepted, I'm also not unconvinced it would worth forking out that type of sum for him. I'm aware we'll never spend that fee on a player, but surely he's exactly the profile of player we should be using our obscene bank account money on.

Assume the new chairman there is legit can't see Ross risking his reputation if he wasn't convinced. Could go either way really, but English football is utterly cut throat and he likely won't get two transfer windows to sort them out. Chairman's comments reek of someone who's desperate to seem like a "hard done by" person, and that statement combined with the "improved contract" talk yesterday tie in nicely to him knowing Ross is gone and making absolutely nothing moves to save face.

IMO (In My Opinion) Skrtel is a very very good CH, but as you correctly say, the attitude of players coming to Scotland often is what undoes them and I cant speak for that. Nah, Skrtel has been in Turkey for three seasons now, sure you're not remembering the player he was before? Turkish league is an absolute killer of careers.

Is he? Alves is better I'd say, he's just "injured" a lot. Skrtel is just another huddy who'll under estimate the league. Harry Wilson on the other hand, is an absolute star.
