  1. Where can he get Morton that he can't get Livingston? Both are Hamilton level of clubs, and as Hamilton shows, both can cope in the bottom half if they get it right.
  2. Paton "did alright" because he was the only CM we had who doesn't suffer consistent injuries. He was released in January as he was the most dispensable member of the squad, and we replaced him with a rookie from Man U who looked about four times the player.
  3. Fwiw he's not a Saints fan. His profile is full of "free palestine" type chat and videos of Celtic fans.
  4. You seem to be under the misapprehension having a lot of money saves you from relegation. Hibs had the 4th biggest budget the year they were relegated. County and Partick had the 7th and 8th in the season just past. Hamilton regularly stay up with a budget dwarfed by those who go down. St Mirren and Livingston both have an equal chance of staying up, at this moment.
  5. Just seems a bit odd to be talking about spending money before those plans are approved. He strikes me as someone who'll be a nightmare if his plans for the whole complex at your stadium isn't approved. I'm hardly neutral so if I were you I'd just ignore me and carry on, though.
  6. Is that the same guy who yesterday said the club is haemorrhaging money trying to upkeep Dens?
  7. Because no great details exist, because its such a mundane thing nobody ever reports it you only learn about it if you know people who've been at such things, or organise such things. Can't wait for next week's headlines, "Dundee United to spend £100k refurbing Tannadice", a yearly occurance at every club, that'll be met with "HAHA TANNADICE IS CRUMBLING" type chat.
  8. It's not publicised how many trialists clubs get. It's not something that happens every season without fail. Every club in the country will have held some form of trial like this multiple times over the years. It usually happens just before pre-season training starts, and the best are integrated into that as full trialists. As I say, it's not usually mentioned at all. Because they'll get plenty of folk, Dundee fans, reading the article, sharing it amongst each other and others, because they'll find it newsworthy. It's easy to sell news when you've got a group of people who'll swallow any old story in one gulp if it makes their rivals look silly. Same media tactics Glasgow firms use between the Bigot Bros.
  9. It's not. Clubs are recommended by agents around 20-30 players every summer, a huge chunk come in the first week after contracts end, if you had twenty people applying for the job on one day, would you spend twenty days looking at them all individually, or get them all in for three? Its not usually sprawled over the back page of a paper though, because it's hardly newsworthy.
  10. Literally every club does it during the Summer, usually mixing the best into a trial game against the actual squad. Not like Dundee fans to absolutely blow their load over something completely normal though, genuinely seem to be getting more unhinged as a group the longer they fail to achieve anything.
  11. I'm certain thats been changed back to normal, but they've only mentioned it on the sly instead of the huge fanfare they gave the original "close window before the season" stuff. I can't find mention of it, so ignore me.
  12. Pleased to see the club decide to not take the easy route with Ando and Muzz's contract clauses. Tying both down for two years allows a new core to form without the old one being gone completely. Hopefully in two years we can look at some of the current squad as being the basis of the next "era". Players like Clark, Shaughnessy and Kerr.
  13. When you're at Ruel Street at 12 but can't see @Kyle or his maw anywhere..
  14. Apparently you face sanctions as Brogan doesn't possess the qualifications required to manage at this level.
  15. Except us, of course. He seems to collapse mentally against Saints.
  16. It's all fun and games until Craig Samson is shipping goals to Hamilton int front of 200 folk
  17. Assume it's Robinson. He'll need an excuse for his utter failure to even mark Motherwell so "he pure tried dead hard to beat us" seems a reasonable way for him to save face.
  18. Theyll either turn their backs or just stay in the locker room.
  19. 12 o'clock, Ruel Street, bring yer maw. @tree house tam finally got him where we want him, you know what to do
