  1. Makes you wonder why none of them made a move for him? Assume they'd be outspending Dundee.
  2. This. They offered £250k for O'Halloran in six installments, we rejected it, and then spent the next week being slaughtered in the media for holding them to ransom
  3. A great couple of signings for Dundee, very jealous of Allan, don't know much about Deacon though, tbh.
  4. It's not a case of trust, it's a case of only spending the money we have.
  5. I don't see what their underachievement has to do with anything? Worth noting Lomas apparently had a larger budget than Wright had last season. You virtually jizz yourself with excitement whenever I post in a Dundee thread, telling me how obsessed I am with Dundee (have you not claimed multiple times to have me on ignore as well?). Yet you're in an Aberdeen thread, in a conversation about the St Johnstone manager, scanning my posts for grammatical errors? Very interesting.
  6. Lomas had one season, and I think MacLean is his only "legacy" that Wright has used. McInnes didn't "transform" us either, Owen Coyle done that, McInnes got the benefit of that. Wright also has tried to play more expansive football, but every time he's successful with it we lose a key player who's been part of that.
  7. He has. Wright has a Scottish Cup win and regular top four finishes with a lower half budget. McInnes has a couple of second places finishes, with the second highest budget, and a League Cup.
  8. Indeed. He's achieved far more than McInnes, Neil or Ross, yet gets punted below them all because he's old and McInnes can't break down solid teams.
  9. Callum Davidson has been "mentored" for the role for a few years, even taking charge of the games when TW has been unavailable. I think he'll be the first option when Wright leaves. There's no chance we'd go after Ross.
  10. For a while. He'll be the fourth successful manager we've had to replace in the past decade though, so I wouldn't be hugely worried.
  11. His goals per minute stat in the Championship is nigh on exactly the same as Chris Kane. Chris Kane who played for the weakest team in the division. Cummings has been hyped up, it's not really debatable.
  12. He'd take it, no doubt about it. He regularly loses out on players due to our financial restrictions, and there's a strong chance he'll miss out on another two or three this Summer as well, it must frustrate him and the chance to manage a team with multiple times our budget would be enough to sway him. I think he'll be hired if/when McInnes goes. Milne won't give a single f**k some of your fans hate the man, he'll look at it with the business sense of someone who knows you can't afford to fall away down into the bottom half again, and TW virtually guarantees that, aswell as a good cup record and an ability to turn average players into solid performers. His knack of replacing "star" players is also a huge pro considering your current situation. I worry more about this than the Rangers job.
  13. This is going to be an awful Summer isn't it? Where we don't sign anyone exciting and then lose our manager. I feel like a dying man who took his life for granted. I want to turn back time *sadface*
  14. Does Kerr getting ready number 15 shirt hint that we'll see him more involved? Or will it be Gordon and Gilchrist (if Gilchrist actually does exist)
  15. Dundee miss out on Scobbie, who chooses United instead
  16. Surprised he's dropping that low tbh, can only assume regular football was high on his wishlist
  17. It'll him or Rory Connor, a 22yo Northern Irishman recently released from some Championship side
  18. McLeish could barely say his own name the last few times he's been on the TV
  19. Tommy Wright has been more attacking than McInnes in his time in charge. He's a dinosaur, to the point where he has a computer analyst analysis opponent's and his own team constantly, asks his players to play multiple roles and constantly adapts his tactics to the opponents. Truly backwards, so he is.
  20. Dundee have been turned down by a Ross County player who'd rather sit on their bench.
  21. Urgh. Just as I was hoping I'd get a full night's sleep.
  22. Yeah Cummins was in yesterday's, couldn't see him in today's though. Wondered if the first few days/week are just evaluations so only a certain number of players will be in per day, as Davidson and Watson have appeared, while McLean and Cummins have disappeared, from what I could see. Absolutely no idea if that's how it works though. Quick mention about the Motherwell signing a midfielder tomorrow that I panicked and thought was Scougall, some guy called Andy Rose is in fact the midfielder they're signing.
