  1. Just me who thinks that's a great deal? For all the hype he is actually utterly unproven over a full top flight season. That's a bigger fee than May, Stewart and Hemmings combined
  2. I'm fairly sure you'll have to pay Preston a percentage of that fee since there's outstanding payments to be made, it isn't just simply written off, at least I'm certain I've read before that there's a pre-agreed fee for an "early sale". There's a strong chance they'll take half that fee.
  3. This, Swansons been telling his agent to hound Hibs for the past four years in the hope of getting a deal. That combined with his form last season meant only a complete fucking idiot wouldn't have signed him.
  4. Disappointed if you go for a centre half that's not Jason Kerr, he needs a championship loan this season and a part time team would be grand.
  5. For reference May got ~£50k up front, and ~£8k a week minus bonuses when he left us. Young players, generally, won't reject that because they think it's "a bit risky"
  6. Any mention of the Neil Doncaster quotes? Where he claims having Irish and Welsh sides in our Challenge Cup is "terrific" as it will help Rangers and Celtic enter the English league. The man who runs the game up here, saying it's fantastic that the two biggest clubs will be leaving.
  7. Stunned NDD has the hard neck to show his face again after he decided to stop supporting Dundee last season
  8. I wouldn't want him in our defence no, he's virtually just Tam Scobbie
  9. No, he's made a serious mistake in every game I've seen against us. I feel like what was a fairly straightforward fact is ending up in a slog of a debate due to your inability to accept any criticism of anything at your team
  10. That final game was pretty impressive though, he played a major part for us in what transpires to be their last domestic defeat
  11. Jealous of what? Ambrose? Im delighted you've signed him, he has a tremendous record at McDiarmid tbh, gets an assist every time hes there
  12. "Has now been complete", you'd think they'd be double checking these things after the "Hibernian Football Club Club" shite
  13. Is it in the best interests of the youngsters to take Scobbies role though? Minutes wise, he didn't feature all that much I don't think, it would surely better for them to be first choice somewhere? Although maybe Gordon's time to be loaned out has passed
  14. Aye bizarre for fans of a club to be involved in a conversation about one of their players. Mad.
  15. If he wants to leave to be a starter somewhere I wouldn't be putting up too much of a fight to keep him. I would add I think our successes have been built by have a solid group of back up players who can step in, and Scobbies is one of them. Trading that for an untested youngster is a big risk, and ideally we wouldn't need to, I'm not one of those who seems to think Gordon is a solid option, and I know nothing about Gilchrist, Kerrs and interesting one, but ideally he'd be in the Championship next season. Be interested to see if Scobbie leaving would change the situation with Watson.
  16. Statement, otherwise I'd have used a question mark.
  17. Maybe. It's infuriating, can be solid all match then randomly just step up too early, or thump a ball back to the keeper from absolutely nowhere
  18. Tbf being a starter for a bottom half top flight team, top end championship team is probably Scobbies level. I like him as an option for us incase of injuries and that, but wouldn't be standing in his way if there's a chance for him getting regular starts. Would probably improve Dundee, but you'd have to get used to him making major errors in 80% of the matches he plays
  19. Yup. Be interested to see what sort of percentage of players in that sort of agreement range (20-23), who've been reserves down there with minimal senior game, go on to have decent careers. I'd also be wary of loading the squad with them. Based on nothing id expect Maroney to be decent, as he seems to be a players who's made some form of impact down there in the youth league. The other winger guy stinks of someone who'll disappear next summer.
  20. Motherwell manager saying they've signed a midfielder who's on holiday and returning next Tuesday. Scougall went on a week long break to Dubai on Monday...
  21. Upon Googling Mahogany, theres newspaper reports of him in games, where he struggled against a physical opponent but put in plenty of effort, and that Rotherham made an approach for him in January, same report says Karanka had him in numerous first team squads.
