  1. Unofficial Twitter has us linked with Connor Maloney, a 22yo CM released from Middlesbrough. While the FM player in me is enjoying us signing youngsters from English sides, and I can see the logic in bringing younger players in to supplement the "ageing" squad, I'm not overly convinced it works in the real world.
  2. A new low point for Lex's fanboyism, as he tries to justify signing Samson.
  3. Worth noting Rangers likely haven't even paid £2m of this £5m yet, it'll all be in installments
  4. I post shite solely to try and goad you into revealing the truth
  5. Fairly sure we offered Scourie something and were confident he'd agree to it
  6. Northern Ireland list him as a forward, so assume he's a winger?
  7. Dundee fans having a minter here, trying to withhold money from an employee is staggeringly classless
  8. Yes. The Doctor almost got killed by it, but Bill, a bog standard person, survived twice as long because she has a memory of her mum. I assume she maybe survived due to her being "the link" and the Monks thinking they can't kill her as shes the only way the can keep control, so they purposely held back, but it would be nice if we actually got some form of explanation for it all instead of playing up to fansites who spend the next month making theories up.
  9. Apparently approached Scougall and Maguire, but both have rejected us. An enquiry about O'Halloran on loan has also been rebuffed due to the wages involved. All rumours, before anyone starts, but I'm getting the feeling these "jewels" aren't coming.
  10. I'm sure he made a comment about not needing strikers the day before we signed Gormley (theres an obvious joke there), and theres been similar instances in the past of him, to put it politely, slavering pish.
  11. True. Last Summer, before you signed the likes of Barton, it was reported to be ~£7/8m. Just pluck a guess its now £9m, based on the likes of Krancjar still hanging about. Thats £2m to spend on fees, including agents fees. Can you see now, why people are suggesting its not financially viable to making multiple ~£1m moves for players? You made a loss last season, and by all accounts are dependent on ticket sales to keep going. Its suicide.
  12. Enjoying the seethe you lot have created with this signing. A raft of middle aged men squealing on the Internet about the "shite Jock league" thats basically non-league football. Glorious.
  13. Most people are curious as to how £11m can cover these transfer fees and the wages. What was Rangers wage bill for last season?
  14. Could you get someone of Christies quality for £450k?
  15. Sky Sports are reporting its only a loan deal for Christie. A minter of a deal.
  16. Hope his involvement doesnt harm your Betfred Cup ambitions.
  17. This is my opinion. Its massively misjudged though, as the money from the Europa League is pathetic. They'd need to qualify for the CL Groups to be making money, but the way our coefficient is, that means they have to topple Celtic. They'll improve this year, Alves, Jack and potentially Dorrans are all upgrades, I'd argue Dorrans could be one of the best signings we've seen in this country in terms of current stature (an international who has played regularly in the EPL in the past season or two), but they still seem an attacking player or two to catching this Celtic team. They seem to be gambling on them toppling Celtic before their finances crumble, which seems daft, as realistically they could've built funds over the next decade, waiting for the inevitable slump Celtic will hit, and then go for a spell of dominance themselves, instead of harming their own future as they can't cope with the present.
  18. £1m + Christie on a permanent deal is an outstanding bit of business, as realistically, Hayes won't earn you more than that, considering Christie is easily worth double that if he can come even close to his potential. Its not as if Christie is some unknown quantity either.
  19. Aye. Well yes, the season of his life after he slithered back up the road.
  20. Funnily enough Portsmouth are yet another club who avoided liquidation as the fans raised the funds needed. They werent moved down leagues or anything, it was relegations that took them there. £1000 per fan they raised
  21. TBF you could have easily avoided all this by actually making an effort to save the old Rangers, instead of sitting behind your computers blaming everyone else.
  22. His name was chanted at McDiarmid last time he played there, hopefully we remember all he done for us in the years gone by and give him a warm applause when he returns.
