  1. Big blow for Dundee with McInnes all but gone from Aberdeen. Imagine they'll go after Neil first, but if he turns them down?...
  2. Story goes McInnes has offered his resignation, and its been rejected. He remains keen to leave Aberdeen due to a difference in what sort of budget he should be getting. Alex Neil has already been sounded out by Aberdeen to gauge his interest.
  3. Not convinced this is a forward step by Rangers. £500k on a defender turning 36, who was a pivotal part of a side who shipped 76 goals in the league last season. Not sure theres much logic in releasing Hill then splashing a fee, and a higher wage, on someone who's fairly similar.
  4. Callum Davidson been "called up" to the Scotland backroom staff for the England game
  5. Aberdeen and Hearts are the other two clubs, along with us and Motherwell, being rumoured as talking to Scougall.
  6. I said I no longer enjoyed posting so stopped posting. Transfer rumours tho.
  7. This is one of the chats on Twitter about Fyvie. As I say, its nothing substantial just multiple people seem to have mentioned us when talking about Fyvie, to the point where it makes you wonder.
  8. Would you believe me if I said I cannot find any of it? I'm sure we were mentioned on hibs.net a month or so ago in relation to him, when there was chat he'd been told he would be behind Bartley, McGinn, Henderson, Commons and Allan next season (proper fans chat, which is why I tried to emphasise how unreliable it was), alongside Aberdeen. Went to the Aberdeen forum and they'd mentioned Fyvie and someone else mentioned us and Motherwell. It was then brought up again on Twitter by someone when they got linked with Sercombe, and today I was talking to a Hibs fan who said Fyvie was off because he wants to be first choice. I'm fairly sure I've not imagined it, but I can't refind any of it
  9. We're being mentioned constantly in relation with Fraser Fyvie, only by Hibs fans, and one Aberdeen fan, and not by any journalist/recognised source. Can't see us going for a CM, but then again, Millar and Muzz are fairly unreliable options.
  10. I posted somewhere admitting I was wrong about McCann. I've barely posted the last month anyway.
  11. With the greatest respect to Alloa, Alloa > St Mirren is a larger jump than St Mirren > a struggling Dundee side. He'd also have the problem of there being numerous Dundee players that'll be hard to move on.
  12. Its Mallan all over again. You'll have two weeks of Dundee fans utterly convinced hes leaving you lot, before the hire Steven Pressley.
  13. Bit surprised McCann didn't want to continue on tbh, suppose his stock is now very high and he'll likely be able to get a top flight club with a more stable squad later down the line. Be surprised if Ross left St Mirren, he's 75% through rebuilding the backroom staff and squad to suit what he wants, I'm not sure he'd be overly tempted to throw that away to join Dundee, especially if theres coaches/players he'd be wanting with him, and if he's genuinely targeting promotion next season.
  14. It was PATG but you were encouraged to take your season ticket book so you got your seat.
  15. TBF its not as if theres any games on tonight for them to be reporting on...
  16. We had a top very, very similar to that four or five years ago tbf.
  17. Just noticed the saltire is still in the sponsor, im out
  18. Not sure about the home, too much white, blue sleeves wouldve been nicer imo. Away ones lovely. Finger crossed there is a problem with the blue in both tops and we get a yellow and blue pinstripe top.. Much improved sponsor aswell.
  19. Hes incorrectly known for having a boring style. I can compare his goals per game to Hartley, if you want? (HINT: Its worse than Wrights aswell) Struggling to understand how a manager whose side has one of the best (I believe its the third or fourth best in the top flight), outwith Celtic, obviously, GPG over the past three seasons is also one of the most negative, tbh.
  20. And thus, my point about your blindness due to games against Aberdeen, comes to be the truth.
  21. I can argue Wright is more attack minded. Wright and McInnes with a similar budget has seen Wright play a more attacking style. McInnes was a vastly bigger budget sees him and Wright virtually identical in terms of goals per game. Obviously, McInnes plays a more expansive, possession based style of football, that doesnt come close to proving hes a more attack minded player. In the four matches this season, Saints have had more shots on target in two. Over the four games Saints have had more shots on target in total, and have also scored more goals. Everything, on paper, heavily points towards Wright being the more attacking manager.
  22. McInnes had a mammoth squad in 2010/11, by our standards. I believe we had six senior strikers that season, and a senior squad of around 25, and then six or seven youth players like May on top of that. The budget is around the same now, its just used better. Wright doesn't play turgid football though, which is my point. Hes managed us in 152 league games, and we've scored 190 goals in that time, 1.25 goals per game. McInnes at Aberdeen? 249 goals in 195 games, 1.27 goals per game. You're perception of Wright, and St Johnstone, is just utterly blinded by the way we set up against Aberdeen.
  23. McInnes can afford a midfield of Hayes - McLean - Christie - McGinn, Wright has Craig - Millar - Paton - Thomson. Bigger budget = Better players = More expansive football. McInnes is a perfect example of that. He had us playing turgid football with no money, once he got money with Aberdeen, he started playing more expansive football. Wrights budget is almost exactly what McInnes' was, and he already has us playing better football, so that suggests Wright would get more expansive with a bigger budget too, no?
