  1. We have been woeful bar the first few minutes. Absolutely nothing in the midfield and we’re lucky to only be 1-0 down. We can’t seem to play 5 yard simple passes. Raith haven't had to be spectacular, keeping the ball and playing it nice and simple. Stanton and Easton in particular have been superb. Only positive to take from that is we’re only one goal behind, something needs to change second half.
  2. How we’re ahead is beyond me, but I’ll take it. Queens should feel very hard done by, our first decent attack and we get a penalty. We’re giving them too much space all over the park, the midfield is almost non existent. Anyone have an idea what position Graham is meant to be playing because I haven’t a clue. Smash and grab first half if I’ve ever seen one.
  3. Taking my dad along to this one for his first game in about 15 years, so looking foward to it from that point of view. What I'm not looking forward to is (with injuries etc) how we're going to line up. The midfield has been powderpuff the last few games (barring the Dunfermline game) and hasn't really offered any support to the defence. I love Banzo and he's done a hell of a lot for Thistle as a club but he needs dropped I reckon, who for though is a frightening thought... I don't reckon Williamson would do a better job and Stanway, after a brilliant start to the season, has went off the boil a bit (granted he's only 19). The defence give me the absolute fear. Predicting a scrappy 2-1, BBG with both goals.
  4. Deary me, do people actually think like this? I think this is a great idea, the more exposure for the women's team the better.
  5. Unreal how we’re 3-0 up, been clinical. Stevie Lawless has got better with age, what a pler.
  6. We’ve been absolutely rotten since scoring. Ayr can feel unlucky to be losing tbh. Some save from Albinson just before half time though, would have been completely undeserved. Ngwenya is giving me the fear, given the ball away a few times in worrying position. Anyone know what happened to McMillan to go off injured?
  7. Glad that's that rumour put to bed. I really didn't fancy him coming to Thistle, with him having priors to throwing his toys out the pram and would (probably) be on pretty high wages. Pretty content with the start of the season, 7 points from 12 isn't an absolute disaster. Biggest positive for me though how Ben Stanway has looked the last couple of games. Keeps it simple and moves the ball on sensibly. Really hoping he kicks on and cements his place in the team.
  8. Enjoyed that yesterday. Took along my saints supporting mate with me as he was at a loose end and he didn’t fancy watching them get pumped at Parkhead… don’t reckon he’ll be doing that again. On the game, Aero an absolute standout for me. Kept it very simple and defended brilliantly. McInroy’s first was a good finish, especially since he fluffed a chance very similar to that just before it. Also thought Graham took his goal really well, good touch and finish. Couldn’t really see what happened for the third from behind the goal. Did we just press their defence well? Really pleased for Stanway. Had a good game I thought, again kept it simple. Loves a booking though. Only criticism from my point of view was we continually didn’t press in the midfield. Allowed them to keep coming at us without putting any pressure on the ball. Invited them to have a go and we started causing our own problems. More than happy with the result though. If you had offered me a 3-1 win before I’d have bitten your hand off for it.
  9. Spot on. I think we need to give Williams the benefit of the doubt, for a bit, seeing as he is getting used to the way Doolan wants to play, rest of the team etc. Although, if the bomb scare passes keep up into the second half of the season we'll need rethink. Regards to the game a Tynecastle, I didn't expect to come away from that with anything, especially when Hearts would be on a high after winning in Europe midweek. But the way we played without putting up any sort of fight was a bit concerning. Still early days though, plenty more football to be played.
  10. I don't think it's possible to recreate the scenes the last time I was at this ground, when we won 2-1 and essentially clinched the title with the 2 last minute goals from Balatoni and Elliot. Disappointed to draw the game against Raith in the matter that we did, old habits coming back to haunt us. Hopefully we can keep it tight at the back, did I read correctly that McMillan went off injured on Saturday? I don't fancy Williams starting at RB. Another tight game I reckon, 1-0 Thistle with Fitzpatrick scoring.
  11. He came across very well. Seemed to speak very openly about everything and looks to care about the well being of the club. Top stuff.
  12. I don't think Bannigan is past it tbh. He did have an absolute horror show in Dingwall with skying his chance near the end and the missed penalty, but these things happen to players. There wasn't anyone I was hoping to score their penalty more than him, he looked absolutely devastated. I feel Banzo just 'gets' Partick Thistle. He's been here for years and given a lot to the club. He's solid enough for the Championship and I feel we could do a lot worse than him.
  13. Yeah tbh you’re right. I guess he does more of the ‘dirty work’ in his position and if you don’t mention him after games then he’s done his job well. Wish him all the best at United, just not too much success on the park!
  14. Resigned myself to this as soon as we didn't go up. Mostly gutted about Turner, Holt is a big loss. I feel we can replace Doc as imo he wasn't really anything special
  15. I don’t think this will look too bad when it has a players name/number on it. Without anything on it though I agree, it doesn’t look great
  16. If this is true (which as Reid says is more than likely the case), the player I'm most gutted about losing here is Turner. Played pretty well during the season but in the playoff games he showed how good he really can be. Very composed on the ball and orchestrated many of the attacks that leaded to the goals in those games as well.
  17. Looks like that is definitely the new home top. It's on Greaves now as well.
  18. Yeah I agree, it's a belter. Hopefully the home one turns out to be as good as this.
