  1. March 2052 Well, not what I'd wanted but it's not dreadful either. We should have beaten Sioni, but the rest of the games have been pretty even. Aye, just need to start getting some wins under the belt, but we're hard to beat and that's something.
  2. Transfers 2052 No major losses there, mostly just getting a load of utter dross out the door. The board accepted a bid for my best player, which I was fuming about, but thankfully he turned down the contract offer and signed a new deal with me. I'll start with Dino Gillies, who I signed early on in my reign but who wasn't able to be registered to play until this season. He's a centre half, and should be a solid back up option for me. Looks fine for that. Beriashvili and Goglichidze were signed before I turned up, Both strikers, both should be fine. Beriashvili was on loan last season, and did quite well so hopefully will keep that up. Maroales is another centre half, who can also cover at left back. He'll mainly play centre half for me though, partly because he's slow as a week in the jail so I think he'd be dreadfully exposed by any half decent winger. Looks good though. Gil is, by some way, the signing I'm most excited about. He's a left winger who joins after leaving Santos, and he's a technically gifted player with the potential to be excellent - I hope he will be anyway because I'm paying him a fortune. When I signed him, Inter Milan were having a look at him too so I wouldn't be shocked to see him end up somewhere decent later in the save, particularly with this sort of thing... Raul Ursuleasa is a striker joining from the Romanian lower leagues, and has a bit of a mixed record there but he was free and has decent attributes to do a job up front. Driton Sadiku joins as my new right back, and unlike almost every other right back I've ever had, he's good going forward and a bit dodgy defensively. Excited to see how he gets on. Ceballos is my stop gap goalkeeper. I don't think he'll be good enough long term, but he'll be fine for this season, and I can look at someone better next. Radu is here to play left back, and look a dependable defender but little else. He should still be able to do a decent job though. Montejano I've signed as cover, and because he doesn't count towards my foreign player quota which I've filled.
  3. December 2051 An absolute non-event to end the season. If I was trying to shine a positive light, we did ok against the champions, but being honest both sides clearly couldn't be arsed with this game. Both the top flight sides won their playoff ties, so stay up. In other news... £375k for 600 odd seats seems excessive, but the clubs finances are healthy so it's not a huge deal.
  4. November 2051 Stole a win against Semtredia, and then threw one away against ten man Torpedo. We were absolutely outstanding against Dinamo Batumi though, had something like 44 shots and was the most comprehensive victory I've had in a while. What does it mean for the table though... Just one point picked up by Sioni means that we're safe. With one game to go, we'll be finishing 7th and there's very, very little to play for throughout the entire league. We managed to hit form at exactly the right time to stay up, but there's still a fairly large rebuilding job required before next season in order to be a bit more comfortable next year.
  5. We should have won the home game against Cove. I think it was Sena who missed an absolute sitter at 1-0, if that goes in we’d have won comfortably. Can’t remember much about the game up there other than it was absolutely shite and Docherty was at fault for the goal. As has been said, need at least one of Docherty or Bannigan to make it. I didn’t watch yesterday’s game, and I read that he was quite good but a midfield of Gordon next to one of Penrice, Geggan or Sena just doesn’t inspire the same confidence. A draw would all but end Cove’s chance of the title, so would expect they’ll be going for it, and given we now have some pace on the break in Tiffoney and Rudden that could suit us.
  6. Either that or he was claiming the concept of a football pyramid was unique to England.
  7. October 2051 An excellent month, especially with some pretty difficult games. Absolutely stole a point against Dinamo with them giving away a needless penalty right at the end after missing countless chances, before a thoroughly unexpected win against Lokomotivi, where we missed a penalty as well. We were better that Dila Gori until just before half time, where we got a guy sent off, but we defended well after that to hold on to the point. That all moves us out of the bottom three and the playoff spots. It's between us and Sioni, basically, and we both have relatively tough run ins - although we face Torpedo Kutaisi and a win there could go a long, long way to keeping us up.
  8. September 2051 Incredibly predictable losses against two of the top four to start the month, before we got my first points at the club with a good win against bottom side Telavi, and a point which should have been more against Sioni. I think the rest of this season will be an absolute slog, but we'll see how it goes. Three points behind with seven games left. We'll see how it goes.
  9. Wait, so is Nicola Sturgeon weak or is she autocratic? Not really sure how she could be both.
  10. August 2051 One game this month, and we defended ok but didn't do a lot going forward and lost it to a late penalty. Not the start I wanted, but oh well. We drop into the relegation playoff spots.
  11. Meet the Team 3 or 3 and a half stars is "leading player" for the division below the one I'm in, 2 and a half is good player for same. So aye, nothing here that's good enough for the top flight. The boy Rybicki is my top scorer this seaosn with 5, and Berg has some potential to improve but there's a pretty big rebuidling job required here. Again, nothing good enough here. It's the same players as above as well. That's a little bit better, with one glaring exception. Gogichadze is the best player in my squad, and only 19 years old so he's promising to build around. Central midfield will do for now, but again better is required. Left midfield is a disaster zone. Well, that's shite. There's about 3 good players here, so I can field a good left and right back, and one good centre half but will have a proper jobber next to him. f**k it. Ah that'll do for now. Will look to bring in better at some point soon, but it's not as dreadful as it might have been. So that's that. We have about one player who's good enough for this league, and we're hoping to stay up. I don't actually mind how I perform in the league as I'm expected to finish in the relegation playoff, so hopefully even if I go down I'll keep the job. Need a major rebuild though, and it could be easier to do that in the second tier.
  12. Apparently not, I'm favoured personnel at Dinamo and nowhere else. Think I've won the league's too quickly most places.
  13. What the f**k is ‘extreme sex education for children’?
  14. The theme song from x-files used to scare the shit out of me when I was wee. I’ve still never watched any of it for that reason.
  15. I dunno, if I was overly concerned about Scotland being turned into a ‘Neo-Marxist hellhole’ by the SNP, I’d probably look further afield than a party stacked full of people who were in the SNP a month ago.
  16. I'm off to the Caucasus, and Merani Tblisi. They've won a load of lower league titles, but never any of Georgia's major trophies. Still, hopefully that'll change in my reign. Anyway, this is the table upon arrival...
  17. I didn’t think it was deliberate from Graham, but it was undoubtedly reckless and could have been a red card. As it is, it wasn’t and it was a good (if completely obvious) bit of management from McCall to sub him off at half time. Shame for the boy Wardrop nonetheless.
  18. I think Ally Roy’s goal in the last game is the only time we’ve conceded while Steven Bell has been on the pitch, which is a no bad effort for him. Tiffoney had a shocker last night, but I think he and Rudden will cause plenty of problems for Airdrie. Get Cardle in for Gordon, other than that go with the same again for me. 2-0 Thistle.
  19. Can’t wait for Starmer to back Johnson on this. This isn’t the time for calling out rampant corruption after all.
